Heard of "Tie Zhu Tang"?!? They are brothers of Jay!~ (edit: Jay's "shi di"; not biological brothers)

Hm... found out from Alfa's website that they are brothers (師弟) of Jay! They are a boy group made up of Producers MICHAEL林邁可(he work on Jays songs if you look through the lyrics book of Jay)、JASON王威登、SCOTTIE陳恆義、VINCE張敖杰. Their name is real weird Tie Zhu Tang 鐵竹堂 translated as Metal Bamboo Hall!! haha :laughing:

Anyway, their new album is called 'Hard Core'... (isnt that a porn vocab?!?) :dry: Seems like their new album's MV was banned coz it has obscene lyrics or sumthing... They are hip hop/heavy metal rap and kinda write songs about violence... hm.....

yeah, i heard about them. alfa sent an email to the members and i got one.

chun li, one of them is mixed chinese-french, so he's fluent in chinese, english, and french. i think they can speak chinese. one of them is really tanned, wants to be like the black rapper type of deal. and that michael guy has worked on jay's stuff before. i forgot who's who anymore. gotta reread the email again. maybe i can post some pics later. i'll see... anyway, they can write their own stuff in terms of songs and lyrics and of course, michael can do the producing. basically, they all like the heavy sounds for hip-hop and heavy metal. and i have heard about the banning of their new MV as well. i guess they aren't afraid to express.

Oh yes, I got that Alfa email too. Have seen them on MTV Chinese and I didn't really like them, on first impression. That's because they are moving in the more hardcore, Eminem-ish direction...and I feel that, it's odd...considering that Alfa typically produces artistes with the "clean" image, like JAY, Landy and Ruien...

BuT I guess we'll have to wait and see....I didn't like Eminem till much later. :blush:

haha... i was just informed. otherwise, i'd have no clue who they are till i stumble across them. :happy:

anyway, for jay, michael has arranged (edited) Dong Feng Po, Ni Ting De Dao, Ban Shou Ren, Ban Dao Tie He, An Hao, Ye Ye Pao De Cha, Hui Dao Guo Qu... just to name a few. there may be more. i haven't bothered to check the lyrics booklets. those are the ones that are readily available to me on my comp. right now. :D

Michael is a producer no doubt but i don't think he produced Jay's music.. remember our talented Jay does all his producing himself?? :) Michael did the 'bian qu' (music arrangement) on Jay's albums.. but he was the producer for Landy and some of Rui en's songs.. oh he composes as well.. (Landy and Rui en's songs)

and yea i saw them on TV.. not really my kind of music :oops: but rapping in French mixed with Chinese is pretty refreshing i feel..

Which one is Michael? quite curious to know since he worked with Jay so much!

pop, sorry to confuse you there. michael arranged all those songs, not produced. he only produced other artists' songs. >.< thanks for pointing it out, dazzlette. what was i thinking?!?! :wacko: really sorry... i just know that's a familiar name for someone who has worked closely with jay. it didn't even dawn on me that jay produces all his music. *smacks forehead* duh... of course he does! so yeah... michael did the musical arrangement for that list of songs. i got confused cuz i've been reading how micheal is a producer in all the previous posts and the word "arrangement" wasn't readily accessible in my lexicon while i was making my post. :sweat: btw, i think michael sang a duet with landy as well. it's called Dong Xin. :happy:

I've never heard of Tie Zhu Tang! Their songs sound kinda american but it's not bad. It's a different taste in the Alfa company! Jay seem to be close to the artists in Alfa! They all help each other out!

if you look at the cover of their album - from left to right - scottie, michael, vince and jason and they are actually called iron bamboo if you can see properly.
