TLC anyone?

I remember them back watching their music video of i think janet's waterfall or something like that. then of course was the death of left eye ( sorry i forgot her real name). TLC aren't my favorite but anyway do you guys like them?

They're ok. I like Left Eye the best, it's too bad she passed away so early.

Their last album with Left Eye, (Fan Mail, right?) I liked it. And the song "Unpretty" conveys an important message. :wink2:

yea, i liked it when they released unpretty. Lisa Lopez. I remember seeing them accept awards after left eye passed away, it was so emotional.

TLC was really a pioneering successful all-black girls' group that really stood out from the rest. To say it all, they kick butts! But I think one of their most powerful driving force was their crazy-ness, daring-ness and bold-ness, most evident while Lisa was still around. I loved Lisa. She's one of a talented female rapper among all other female rappers. :)

Ohh...I remember them. Lisa Lopez was and still is a good artist. She made TLC very special. She could rap like no one else could too...I remember her rap in the song from Mel. C 'Never be the same again' or something. I liked that song very much.

Anyway...I love their songs...Waterfalls..and...No scrub. :happy:

i think they have done it without her...now they had a video which was such a humiliation for the males to act as male prostiutes.. :dry:

anywayz, she did 'space cowboy' with nsync too..and her rap saved the song from repetitiveness...bless her :angel:

i think the other member you are referring too is T-boz pop. (am I right?, hehe)

I hope that they make it even without left-eye. But their songs wouldn' be the same without lisa's raps. Well, Chili does sing good melodies and T-boz has a nice alto voice.

I'm sure all you fans know that TLC stands for T-Boz, Left Eye and Chilli.

I listened to TLC as a late teenager. I like it when a girl-group does not depend on physical appearances to make it big. Don't get me wrong, they're not ugly. In fact, I think Chilli is VERY cute (and she's Usher's girl !! :excited:). And these girls can do some serious break-dance moves! :bow:

I particularly like them because they do write their own songs. TLC songs have a distinctive sound - I can't explain this but it's like when I hear a new song played on the radio, I can tell it's TLC's latest.

But since Left-Eye's demise, I have yet to listen to the remaining 2 sing. I'm planning to get the 3D album soon.

I hope they' won't get a new member to replace Lisa. It won't be the same.

tlc is the best black female group!!!
i love their songs and i think the first album that i bought was theirs.. too bad they stopped doiong songs now. maybe because they're not complete now...

TLC.....the only girl band that has ever made me perk up and listen to......They are the only band that have something of everything....the only band that you won't get tired of in years to come.....but that was back when lisa was still alive...but with her gone, TLC sounds and looks like any normal girlband like destiny band

oh kool, TLC gonna be back, here's the news :
T-Boz and Chilli, the remaining members of TLC, are searching for a female performer who will temporarily replace the spot left empty by Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes, who died in a car crash in 2002. They'll be doing this through a reality series called "R U the Girl With T-Boz & Chilli" where they will judge a group of wannabes who go through various challenges. The winner will be given the chance to join the duo in a recording session and concert performance. Production for the show, which will air on UPN, is set to begin early next year.
:worry: aww...of course TLC wouldn't be the same without lisa.

haha the best black female group?? i'd prefer destiny child over tlc, any day, arent they kinda gone now.. cos wasn "left-eye" kille in a car crash couple years ago.. what a loss.. she was signed with deathrow records too.. funny how alot of ppl signed to deathrow, die, like tupac.

i heard that britney's song "oops i did it again" , it was originally written for TLC, but they refused it. so they let britney record it.

I think the song that TLC refused was actually "Baby,One More Time" from Britney.Anyhow,my legendary girls & the honor that they received from MTV & VH1 was well deserved.Because there will never be another female singing group like them ever again.I have all their songs because they released so many hits.
