Rumours have been going around that Jay is having a concert in Syd. in June this year. Can anyone confirm?? It's not on his main website.

Jay2U has a concert in Australia listed, but not the city. July 3 is the date listed there, so that much is official. Sydney seems likely, but that's not confirmed.

Yes, it's weird, and I checked with one of the mods on Jay2U. They aren't confirming anything about the concert and saying to enter at your own risk, but the date is listed on the schedule. Just the date and "Jay Chou's World Tour" and Australia, no specific city. I don't know, though. It seems like it always takes a long time to get official confirmation on Jay's overseas concerts like this one. :wacko: I suppose it's really only expected for the ticket prices to be high, considering whose concert this is. The Mohegan Sun concert wasn't even listed until long after ticket sales started popping up last year.

The concert has not been confirmed at this stage but discussions with promoters are being held, until it is actually contracted to the venue we cannot confirm any information.
Should it be confirmed the information will be placed on the web site.

This is the info i received from AcerArena. So therefore it hasn't been confirmed, BUT we can say that Jay's 99% coming!

To be honest i seriously doubt it will be in acer arena, because there's the WWE event on the 4th of july and i don't think acer arena would have the time to host jay's concert, and replace the set for WWE in under 24 hours.

i heard that the head of the taiwanese student association helps to organise the concert, and he says that it'd be in sydney, but tix wont be on sale yet since its not confirmed...

i'm talking to the JMS management, and under this QQ group with Jay2u, they are apparently doing pre-sales right now, before it goes public.

I asked him how come acer arena doesn't actually know about this *as i emailed acer arena to find some info out*. but all i got from him was, "cbb explaining...:S*

and he also said:" ok, you just wait till the tickets go public ok?"

and i told him, sure~!

and yea, i still find everything so dodgy. That website, it doesn't have JVR logo on it...and also that company, JMS 娱乐制作， i can't find anything on them either. so if anyone in Sydney wanna go to their office and take a look, would do us great :) hehe.

heres some info for u guys,
my friend her parents r directors for JMS and yes the pre sold tickets (which i already reserved 15 for myself :-) ) have finished so to be able to get tickets u will need to get it through the public promoters, as for the big question where to purchase these tickets:
JAY CHOU OFFICIAL CONCERT SHOP
CAPITOL SQUARE - FuDaCHi (a computer store) located on T25- 730-742 George Street Sydney
ticketek will start selling tickets as well but at a later date, at the moment payment is for reservation only as tickets r yet to be released so everyone will recieve an invoice after payment and can collect tickets when they are released on 1st May
Prices are as follows:
$78/$118/$168/$268/ VIP :$248/$488/ EXTREME VIP $1500 (Includes After Party with Jay Chou)
as for those who still has doubts whether the concert will be held at acer arena or not DON'T WORRY its officially announced and a press conference has been made already, some may find posters distributed as well as ads on chinese newspapers
u guys better get ur reservations soon as spots r filling up, also another note is that there will be LESS $78 tickets as the organisers has decided to push 10 rows back meaning besides VIPs everyone else with the normal tickets will be shifted 10 rows back reason for this is due to the increased demand in VIP tickets therefore they need to make more spots for them (unfair for the normal ticket buyers :oops:)
well yea hopefully these information will help u guys in sorting out tickets, these information are sourced from the official website (most information is in chinese unless u can read u will miss out on alot of information) as well as internal sources from the JMS company so its all reliable information

That form says you have to pick up the tickets from some location between certain dates. That's a bit of a pain. Has anyone heard anything about the tickets being sold at tickitek or some other ticket selling place??

fudachi is just one of the promoters (not sponsers) of the concert that i know of, there are others as well but im unsure if they are official. Sponsers are generally not involved with the distribution of tickets, whereas a promoter is different. Um, not that it is really much 'news' but, i've registered for a $488 ticket...sigh, and I saw its press conference on TVBJ (Chinese Foxtel kinda thing) so it IS real, the only dodgy thing now, is where the ppl are gonna place you cause its a mosh pit and all, but the $488 ticket does inlcude a choice from four activities: 1) Getting jay from the airport, 2) Press conference (jay attending), 3) T-Shirt or 4)Autograph session, all the fore mentioned activites are limited to the first 200 applicants....so yea, if you can handle the steep price then go for it (no i ain't rich, i just gave away my life savings, I hope its worth it lol) also, the stage is apparently A 'T' shape kinda layout (image catwalks) so, yea, i hope that might clarify a feel obsecurites as I know not many ppl would've brought concerts without first examining a 'seating plan' of some sort but heck that is how JMS is going abt with it, ( i mean even for the VIP party zone, it would of been reassuring to know that wouldn't be placed on the 'edge' right next to the other 'VIP' ticket holders who'd only forked out $200 sumthin.....aight, nuff said :)

You serious??!!, gees, they are 'dodgy' after all.... they can't do that you know? its against the law here in Aus i believe, if they ain't able to deliver, they gotta return it. Also, i didn't really think the service levels of JMS were too astounding either, the lady just kept on saying that whatever questions you have its on the form, blah blah blah, (i hadn't even asked her my question yet...talk abt politeness :crazy:) i know what you mean when you say that there is a good chance that it is cancelled cause, even up till now, the acer arena site has absolutely NO record of any 'jay chou' thing goin on, let alone anything for the 3rd of july. Nah, its kool i understand, i only registered cause i saw everyone confused and lacking information just trying give u guys abit of help thats all not registering just to try to defend JMS, i can say i've already given them 2.5K, i felt the same at first abit uneasy giving dem 2.5K in cash, but after meeting one of the directors himself (his face is on the conference foto on newspapers so he's the real deal i guess) at the office and gave me his business card it seems legit enough for me ( I HOPE ), also as for the paranoia over acer arena, i sent them an email regarding the concert and about a week ago they replied saying it was under negotiations they are 100% aware of such a concert planned, i will send them an email again and see what response i'll get now since its been announced to the public now. Though just my opinion they have posted posters and annoucing to public and all that it will be held at acer, wouldnt it be illegal to provide false information? they wouldnt take sucha risk i doubt to use acer's name and trying to con people, its australia they will get locked up for it. Well, I would send in my order today with JMS but I don't have the car to go and get a money order. :-( I'm gonna have to wait until Monday so in the meantime, I'm just keeping an eye on what's going on with everyone. My husband rang JMS this morning and said they seemed legit so I think we are happy to go with them because we are worried about missing out on tickets.

Sorry, i asked the same question (do you accept cards?) in the JMS office, and almost everyone EXPLODED with 'NO' :wacko:
I also happen to know some ppl from the sponsor 2AC (Chinese radio station) and they told me that (as mentioned) all the good seats are 'sold' on a first come first serve basis and whatever that is LEFTOVER....gets allocated towards the public sales mediums :happy: (eg: ticketek, karaoke bars and chinese shops etc)

Ah that makes sense. Thanks. I do know though that if you actually go in person to a ticketek outlet, they have let us choose the seats before. Anyway, I think most of us are going to pre order our tickets now by the sounds of it so we don't miss out. The stadium has different "sets" (ie. blocks) of seats, and u can just pick which set u wanna sit at, not the actual seat number

That's weird cause I called them on Friday and the lady told me that you could buy the tickets through ticketek... unless that's what they meant by only through them (they direct you to ticketek if you try to buy tickets through them on their website). And yeah, she didn't say anything about pre-sale tickets or getting them from somewhere else. But it makes sense that the company who is putting on the concert has the right and ability to sell pre-sale tickets.

From what I see and hear you get the form via the site jaychou.com.au and mail it in with a money order or bank direct deposit. or you could gatecrash their office in the city or you can go to the computer store named FuDaChi at Capitol Square in the city. JMS are the organizers of this concert (i think). and FuDaChi is just a computer shop who help promote and sell tickets.
when the sale goes public there will also be other shops that will sell the tickets. like easyway and stuff (but it depends on wat state you live in not all easyways know wat you're talkin about).

can you actually request where you want to sit? cos i heard many people saying that they simply asked for what block they wanted to sit and they got it. is this confirmed or does it just mean that you have a better chance of getting the seat you want?

^ no i dont think u can get a specific seating arrangement at most they will let u know which section u will get but thats as far as it can go u wont know which row u will get unless u got the tickets internally through jms even prior to the pre-orders ( which i did since i know one of the directors :D) , if ur getting through ticket tek then good luck chances are the seats aint that great but as the saying goes first in first served so if u booked early chances r u will get decent seats, pre-orders will finish soon and offical public release will be on May 1st, here's a list for pre-order sales (can be found on the official website) in different states of Australia for those who still hasnt gotten it yet some places has chinese names while some are just websites where u can obtain them through:

yes im going i got 168$ tickets from pre-order like 2 months ago already from a friend...who organised a group to go because she knows a friend who can get the tickets. anyway...

in the HK concert in december 07 (wow it was THAT long ago..) i actually filmed most of the concert ..because i was so super awed that it was jay ! i was pretty far up the back so perhaps thats why nobody stopped. but i knew i had to get MORE than pictures because this was a lifetime event..

well if you bought the tickets together, then ofcourse you will be sitting nxt to each other. but if you and your friends bought at different time, then i doubt u guys will sit close together.

I just bought tickets off ticketek and the only tickets left were the VIP party zone on the floor and the VIP area that costs $268. It's crazy how quickly the tickets have sold and that ticketek hardly had any. I don't mind though, this will cost far less than flying to China to go to one of Jay's concerts. :-D

I was wondering if he will do similar songs to what he has done for his other concerts for this world tour. Do you reckon it might be similar to what is on the DVD of his world tour? I was hoping he will do some of his older songs as well as new ones but on the DVD, he only does songs that came out from 2005 onwards.
