I got to admit that the song is amazingly easy but i think his voice is horrible for the song. i think jay can do a much better job. because his voice is kinda childish and you can tell that his voice totally had voice affects to it. to make it sound "better" when his voice isnt good. no offence guang liang but tong hua is HORRIBLE with so many people liking it. and people sing it with a horrible voice. CONTROL IT PEOPLE

lmao, then this has nothing to do with the song. Seeing all your complaints, about 99.9% of them is about giang liang's voice.

No offence but i think if thats the case, you should just change this thread's title and change it to "Giang Liang's Hate thread". :D

Anyway, my thoughts about the song: its nice to listen to, and i dont mind guang liang's voice either, but it is definitely overrated. Its good but not to the extent where its the most, sadest, favourite song youve ever heard. But it counts on personal preferences as well.

If you want to change the subject to anti-Guang Liang, you'll have to change the topic title as well.

I must say I don't particularly like Guang Liang. When I started listening to more of his songs, I realized they all sound the same. Some of them might as well be covers of each other with different lyrics.

I think "Tong Hua" in particular is annoying, though. It's not that I really hate the song, even though it is rather corny, the MV is super-long, and it makes me cry. I sing along with it in the car. However, there are also millions of covers of this songs. Too many people have sung it. You can hear a few examples here (http://www.imeem.com/people/8pjzX_d/playlist/FQpov5dG/tong-hua-covers-music-playlist/). These aren't the only ones I've heard, but Alan's is the only one I've heard that actually changed the lyrics to make it more suitable for a girl like herself to sing. (Girls can't be princes, so that line is different, and it's her that's crying, not the guy.)

I think it's kind of a boring karaoke song that anyone could sing. It doesn't really take anything special to sing this song. If Guang Liang only does songs like this, I don't see why he has so many fans. Since it's so simple and easy to sing, people who shouldn't be allowed to sing *anything* sing it, too. When people do that, it can really make you hate the song. Since this song is so overrated, you're bound to hear someone who isn't a professional singer cover it.

The simplicity of the melody is what drives me nuts. It's repetitive and bland, and every single time we KTV someone decides to queue it up. It's so overhyped, and so oversang among one group of my friends that the one friend who does not follow Asian music can sing it off by heart.
