Part 7 is starting now.... :D

http://www.flags2000.com.au/images/a1_large.gif

Our aussie pride continues :D

At the end of last thread, we were talking about Jay's concert again, after 500 posts (from the start of part 6) till now, we are still talking about why Jay wouldn't come down to australia, come on jay~! discover us awesome laid back aussies~!

Part 6 can be found here (http://www.jay-chou.net/forums/showthread.php?t=22623)...

And it's getting close to our election date....talk politics anyone? haha :D
Well i will vote for who ever can convince jay chou to come down here~! :excited:

*Again, still running around with a aussie flag, singing the waltzing matilda and eating some sausages in a bun**

Oh yay, finally Part 7.

How long has it taken us to reach this thread? 2 years? lol

I wonder if we can make it to part 8 by the time Jay releases his new album? Part 8 for Jay's 8th album. That should show him how much we want him down here xD

hahaha ! i ws gonna have sausage in a bun for lunch today...but i cbf cooking, cos i also gotta study so jus had leftovers from last nite!

but...the exchange rate is like, maximum 1: 7 isnt it ? so 480HK would be at MOST 70-soemthing....and since i think its a bit less, something like 1: 6.7 then itll be round 75ish....im not actually sure, i havnt checked the rates for sooo long.

or are you trying to tell me perth money is worth more than sydney money? cos THAT AINT TRUE!!!

cindy: welllllllllllllllllll that could be possible if we had like non stop 24/7 posting from now till then...but since everyone is so lazy it wont happen haha. plus , have we even got proof (yet) that jay has seen this forum?

Darkshrimp
10-18-2007, 04:27 PM
Haha, i'm sure jay would visit this forum...if i had a forum, named Andrew.com, i would so visit it everyday~! lol

yea, true dat, it is about $70 ish :P oh well, still quite cheap. I was considering going to linkin park concert and that's $102.. a tad bit expensive :P

and yes~! we have 14 days to make 500 posts, come aussies do our thing!~but i guess we aussie are very laid back and cbb doing anything

cinsin
10-19-2007, 05:01 AM
But I have a feeling the dollar will drop after the federal election. So do your exchanging now!

I think Jay has to know about this forum. I mean JCNet is like the first thing that pops up on google when you search for "Jay Chou" is it not? If I was an artiste I think I would like to know what forums are out there about me. I think that's the best way to learn about your fans and audience :D

I could post 500 posts in 14 days in here. But it would just be me lol

:D I think Jay won't type Jay Chou.. rather.. he'll type 周杰伦 cos they usually type chinese~~

anyway~~ just wanna get a feel of Jay fan strength in the different states.. haha..
maybe we should vote for... where Jay Chou should hold his concert if he comes down~~

I vote Sydney~~

Darkshrimp
10-19-2007, 07:13 AM
yea, and cindy, Jay most likely prob doesn't use google either, he prob use some chinese search engine :P and yea, jaycn prob pops up instead :P lol

and maybe we chrimp could reach part 8 :P but by the rate we are going, 2 post a day, part 8 is far far away :P haha :P

if there's a vote on where jay goes, i'm sure it'd be sydney, coz it does have the most population. I would loved if he came to perth, but I doubt that's going to happen, because to be honest, don't think he has enough fans down this end.

cinsin
10-19-2007, 07:34 AM
But if I was his management team I would use Google to search for his fans. I wasn't saying Jay himself specifically would go and search for himself, that's kinda self absorbed

I want Jay to come to Melbourne. But I would definitely roadtrip up to Sydney if there was a need for it :D

Chrimp can totally post more than 2 posts a day. Come'on!!!!

jay~fire

:tongue:ohhh~~ how nice it would be to pack Jay fans into buses and play his songs all the way to get the mood right, and then start the concert?? ahha.. think everybody'll be so high.. haha...

we should do it like groupies in the 70's?? haha..

would be nice if he could do a tour around Oz.. and we follow him in the "fan buses"... hahaha..:excited:

kirasuran
10-19-2007, 11:13 AM
wow dude roadtrip following jay round australia would be SO AWESOME.

and so costly.

all good ideas! siiiiiiiiiiiiiiigh JAY WHERE THE F*** ARE YOU AND WHEN THE F*** ARE YOU COMING TO SYDNEY! you dont need to go to other places like perth or darwin, just come to SYDNEY!!!!

*rage*

10-19-2007, 04:05 PM
whenever he chooses to hold a concert in sydney (wherever else in australia) hopefully it's not a time during these months next year ><

jay fan buses sound so good =P hahaha be singing jayc all day/night for so days and days

nyAAAAh~!

Darkshrimp
10-19-2007, 08:38 PM
Haha, road trip around the great outback is so aussie style, and if jay comes, he needs to experience it :D

maybe spread jay music into the aboriginal communities, haha :D

that would be cool

I actually want to plan a road trip of my own... end of the year, just to get away from it all :D but money money money

jay~fire
10-19-2007, 09:06 PM
hehe.. I once did a trip from Queensland to Melbourne (via Sydney and Canberra)... it was pretty nice~~

think if I have the chance nx time I'll try Adelaide through to Uluru~~ and maybe spread Jay's music to them.. haha..

haha.. would be funny if Jay passed through the aboriginal communities and they started singin his songs to him.. haha... wat a feat~~!!!

ll.jj
10-20-2007, 09:05 AM
only other cities i've been to are canberra and melbourne and i didn't go via anywhere else lol they're both from the state/territory next door x\ not much of a road trip for me hahaha :shy:

or maybe jay can get inspired by the indigenous communities xD some new style of music for him right there
and he'll be spreading the culture! :D

Darkshrimp
10-20-2007, 07:28 PM
haha, first it's the cowboy, maybe next he will play the didgeridoo, haha

that would be quite funky and scary at the same time.

ahh, long Christmas holiday coming up, thinking whether i should go on a long holiday, is anyone else going anywhere?

BTW, this is my devil post~! (666th post) :D

watiwat
10-23-2007, 09:44 AM
OMG jay does need to come down here..

damn it's been a while =P stupid HSC

i've been to canberra many many times.. qld once, and melb once.. i think..

Too bad JCNet was down for a couple of days, I really thought that even if we couldn't make 500 posts before Nov 2nd we could at least get to 88 posts or something.

Just to show how strong our love is for Jay :)

Could you seriously hook me up, Rachel? Haha wow that song title got into something I said, how strange. I'm talking about The Veronicas if you're thinking I'm being retarded lol

Btw, I'm from Melbourne. Are you located in Australia? Or just popping by to be part of the lonely convo between me and Andu?

Hey Andu, would you happen to know any good stores that sell man bags?

Darkshrimp
10-31-2007, 12:31 PM

Chris: I want to buy my brother a man bag lol I'm looking towards business/casual. It's for his birthday and he keeps talking about European man bags so I thought I'll get him one just for the fun of it. I went shopping yesterday to have a look but couldn't find anything nice.

Aiyo, why is everyone bagging Pokemon :sadangel: Gotta catch em' all!!!

Rachel: I might take up your offer if I can convince a friend of mine to tag along. But I'm looking more towards the HK concerts now  Although I think SG would still be more fun to go to. :D

It's a pity most of the tickets are gone for Jay's HK concert. They were super cheap as well!!! I wouldn't want to pay $1500 for a ticket to HK but only to sit at the back

I love concert merchandise, I wonder what sort of merch Jay will have. Buy lots!!! Think of me!!! hahaha

haha.. Myer's a different story.. cos it's enclosed.. and they have the walkways above Lt Bourke.. haha.. so sometimes I also get confused over which side I'm at.. :D

I heard DP say she has 50 more tix for Jan 19 in SG~!!! they're $198, so I'm sure you won't be sitting at the back~~ hohhoho....

I just got my tix for Jan 18 today.. thx to my fren S.Yeo w OCBC card~!! hehe...

Hey guys, I know some of you might go to Capitol Square where all the mad mario plush toys are in the machines, does anyone happen to know any stores which just sell them? It's almost impossible to get some of the ones in those machines.

kirasuran
11-04-2007, 10:49 AM
rachel: well its quite easy to get there by trains, dont really need a car, although hopefully ill be able to drive myself around next year! good news if you like krispy kreme, they have spread around to quite a LOT of suburbs, theres like 2 in teh city, one near the airport, and others in random suburbs!!! what popcorn are you talking about? i remember there were some kinda chain popcorn stores..but they seem to have massively died off in the past 2 years. i havnt seen one since 2 years ago hahaha

as for your insomnia, i havnt been able to sleep properly for most of this year, ive had on and off times...but recently for the past 2 months ive been having major trouble getting to sleep. so cant help you there. though i think that doing exercise and making yourself tired before trying to sleep is a way to help..

winston: sorry man, no idea

mm.. not sure if this online shop can help you out or not...

else, if you have pictures of those mario things, my friend might be able to find them in Japan... she's going in Dec :D

as for your insomnia, i havnt been able to sleep properly for most of this year, ive had on and off times...but recently for the past 2 months ive been having major trouble getting to sleep. so cant help you there. though i think that doing exercise and making yourself tired before trying to sleep is a way to help..
winston: sorry man, no idea

*sobz*.. the popcorn that had a lot of crazy flavours.. sweet and savoury.. aww.. so sad to hear they've died...

hmm... maybe climate change has affected humans' sleeping patterns too~~ haha... but yeah.. maybe I will try to exercise more in the evenings...:D

Winston: I always think it's best to buy plushies and that online. They always overcharge you in Australia. You can get one for about the same price online and without leaving the house!!!

Chain popcorn store? Wow I've never seen one before. I liked caramel popcorn. Yummy!!!

kirasuran
11-05-2007, 08:01 AM
yes in fact they had like .... more flavours of popcorn than there exist for chips.

let me see what i can remember...

caramel, honey, bbq, sweet and sour (just those you guys have mentioned) then theres like...rainbow flavour (lol?), chicken or something...cheese (actually like 10 diffenrt cheese flavours)...hmm pizza , chocolate covered popcorn? extreme buttery popcorn

the list goes on and on and on and onnnn..

now thinking about it makes me want some REALLY BUTTERY AND CHEESY POPCORN *drools*

I've been really sick lately, I'm not even sure where I've contracted it from GAH!

So I've been bedridden for awhile and haven't been able to speak because my voice has completely gone since this morning.

I was meant to hand in an assignment today, but couldn't get out of bed. I can't even swallow because it hurts too much ><"

good luck with the rest of your exams!!! *adds oil onto Andu* :D

chris- 9 exams?! i swear i didnt have that many last year. Are u going anywhere after for schoolies? Any celebration plans?

andu- i feel your pain, sitting in the same boat, end of sems suck. I had 4 exams squished in one week. my last one is in 3 hours... i don't know if i should be horrified (that i'll fail) or relieved. Doing 5 units must suck- are you overloading?

Cindy- hope you're feeling better right now. I wish we could swap so i could get sick and not take my exam hahaha. I'm always slightly sick during exams, like the common cold etc, but never sick enough to get special consideration. damn.

Darkshrimp
11-08-2007, 06:02 AM
Chris, yea chris mate, 9 exams, that's crazy, when i had my end of year 12 tests, i only had 7 exams, and i overloaded too, haha

countess, wellcome back, ditched us for awhile didn't you :P haha. yea i'm overloading this semester, with 5 units, not very good decision, but i just have to live with the consequences ay. :D

kirasuran
11-08-2007, 08:41 AM
ahha well obviously i over-overloaded. for those who know, im doing 13 units in yr12 , when most ppl do MAX 12 and usually down to 10 units by the final exams ..

however im stupid and i need all these extra units to save me when i fail other subjects so im essentially covering my arse by doing more work. if it gets me the marks i want, then i guess it justifies my years of pain and freakin TORMENT that ive gone through. however if it doesnt get me where i want...well im jus gonna go jump off a cliff .

we should all celebrate after the exams...how ? i suggest having online drinks! getting superficially drunk . ha. lame. oh well as soon as i can im gonna FORGET ALL THIS . at least until the results come out when im gonna frekin get a heart attack

I WANNA GO TO JAY CONCERTTTTTT COME TO AUSTRALIA YOU KNOB!!!!! YOU AND YOUR PRETTY PINK PONY!!!!!!!!!!

cinsin
11-08-2007, 12:55 PM
Lisa: Aww...hun, I wish I could swap with you too. I rather do exams then be sick or be sick and have to do assignments. My assignment is now 2 days overdue ><"

Thanks for the hug Vittie *:hugz: back* :D

Chris: I wish I could watch TVB drams 24/7 but I get dizzy after being out of bed for a few hours and I don't have a teevee in my room :( Oh and how cool would it be if Jay came down to Australia in his pink pony. I swear him and that pony are just so cute together

I felt like an idiot today, I called up to get my books renewed because I was sick and couldn't return it. I could barely speak and the lady couldn't understand me and she was pissed off because I was trying to renew a book that was overdue :p Then I went to Gloria Jean's to order something to drink and the lady couldn't understand me so I ended up with a drink I didn't want but was too embarrassed to go back and change it ><"

So the lesson learned today is...don't try to talk over the phone when you're sick and don't try to order anything to drink when you're sick xD

yes yes celebrations ...of a slightly lame kind, cos jus me and my friend went to the park after our exams ...and had some drinks . and then afterwards, went home, met other friends, went to the arcade for a bit, then played tennis in the rain (wtf???) then went home.

gosh its been raining non stop for freaking A WEEK and i got woken up at 630 by the rain . and couldnt get back to sleep again, farout.

chris!! yay!! we are both finished!! actually i finished on monday!!

it was actually an anticlimax after awhile. but hey, no complaining.

and now i really really need to try and exercise, but yeah, i blame the rain for my lack of motivation!

i thought so,, i rember you saying you did physics, so ...that would have meant monday! gosh. see? 4 days difference, and i had 3 exams in between that. PAIN!

and for the lack of exercise...i blame the rain and the HSC. STUPID STUPID! got something weird to tell : i think its the fact that our weighing scales are differnt, but i weighed myself at my friend's place like 5 weeks ago, and i weighed myself at home...and there was 4kg differnce. for the first few seconds i was like YESSSSSS I LOST 4 KG!!!!! but then irealised it could jus be difference in scales..

LETS HOPE I REALLY DID LOSE WEIGHT hahaha

DJs = David Jones. haha chris, we'll see about those discount clothes when i start, lol. i was so jealous of my friends who finished after 3u maths. but at least we dont finish on the last day, that would suck. if that was the case, i would've had such difficulty keeping focused on studying while everyones celebrating.

and cindy, in SA i was emo, but you can just keep with ekyec, its fine! too difficult remember all these names, i know.

well well, the suns shining again in sydney!! to combat the lack of exercise, my friends and i wanna join dance classes after being inspired by so you think you can dance. haha. we'll see if we actually get around to doing it.
but dancing is a great way to get in shape!

Hey people!! Long time no see! I know..shame on me...I've been MIA for so long... My excuse is...I've been working! I can't promise I'll be back regularly but you'll see me drop in every once in a while hehe.

Speaking of the weather (it's a rule to stay on topic right?)... Brisbane is nice and sunny today! It's been a bit dull/cloudy (not quite rainy) the past few days but now it's nice and bright! Meaning that...(!!!!!) I have hayfever today lol. Great... So I hide inside... and blow my nose...and try to keep my eyes open...
*cry* Poor me..

Dancing is awesome! It's fun and it gets you sweaty. I like dancing in my room... but my door doesn't have a lock so there's a HIGH risk of being seen if people don't knock......

cindy : the reason is, i love sports and well, i seem to have a lot of extra weight around my stomach and thighs, and i want to improve my performance in sports...thus i need to lose some weight off there! trust me, it's shocking if i tell you how much i weigh. i'd like to say its cos of muscle weighing more than fat, but...........

ekyec: wellll i did finish on the last day...friday! it sucked. but i had french, french extension on wednesady and thursday, then last exam on friday so i wasnt TOO unmotivated...but wait actually i was cos i didnt study that much for any of the subjects hahah but lets hope i did well enough...im stupid. oh oh and jus to let you know, i've taken your name of emo!!!! yayyy!

HI SHAY. actually i must admit that i have very little memory of who you are. i do have vague memories of you but...really nothing significant. sorry! but lets be friends again anyway =)

countess: YES haha feeling productivity has gone, feelin im wasting my time and should be studying or something...the other day i saw my friend in yr12 now, doing maths and i suddenly had the urge to do maths again :?

as a generaly rule, i never shop in myer or DJs cos its way expensive, and i get heaps of clothing nd stuff when i go to hk anyway, so there's not that much need to buy. although some of their clothes are pretty cool, but jus too overpriced. and their entertainment section too! gosh, it's like freaking...double the price, sometimes!

Everyone's mistaken what I've said. I meant subway as in train station xDDD

I <3 SUBWAY...CHICKEN FILLET ALL THE WAY!!!

Andu: Yaknow, I had a really bad experience once that put me off alcohol for awhile as well. But you should be glad to know I'm back on it after having some cocktails a couple of weeks back :D

beer looks disgusting :bigyuck:
...

I don't know what else to say~
I haven't officially tasted "alochol" yet. I'm a good girl.. but I like Baileys Irish Cream- does that count? :bleh:
I want to try all those colourful cocktails..

Beer is gross, i can have about a mouthful and then i'm over it. Don't understand why you guys like drinking that bitter stuff so much.

I remember being so off vodka, just the smell of it makes me sick. but yeah, as time goes by you forget all the bad and go running back.

Vittie- lol, ofcourse Bailey's counts. Just because it looks and tastes like chocolate milk- it's NOT. hahaha

Cocktails are deceptive, sometimes the really pretty ones taste like absolute crap. I once had one that tasted like nail polish remover  Long island iced tea is nice though :) And yay, the party/festive season has started, can't wait, haven't been out in like 3 months!

11-16-2007, 04:00 PM
BAHAHAHHA CINDY!!!! what else did you expect us to think 'subway food disappointed me' HAHAHAHAH oh MAN that is HILARIOUS!!!!

biggest misunderstanding, ever.

anduz: well , it's called christmas parties held by my dad's workmates. unlimited beers , and at the christmas functions, there's even cocktails. wooooohoooo

vit: YEHH bailey's is AWESOME i like that stuff too. i want to have some again, actually. there's like fruity cocktails which are quite nice as well . we should have a massiev cocktail tasting party. im down for it!

countess: well,,,i first didnt understand it either. but it's got a sort of refreshing quality...somewhat similar to a ice cold coke on a hot day. just that beer can help you get high faster hahahaha

cinsin
11-17-2007, 12:06 AM
^That actually explains why guys like beer now  I never understood it either. I don't mind a Corona but only ONE, because Coronas seem to be stronger in alcohol content than normal beers.

Yaknow what? I thought with Tsukie being American and all would've understood 'subway food'. Since they actually call their train system a subway.

Lisa:Have you ever had a 'sex on the beach'? That is really nice and Viagra is nice as well except they're all made with vodka :D

I still just love a good bourbon and coke, even though it's considered a manly drink. Maybe that's why I wanted a Man bag :hmm:

Shay
11-17-2007, 01:18 AM
Hahaha that's hilarious. I thought you meant Subway as well....the place Adro advertises for. lol. Sweet Onion Teriyaki Chicken for the win! So silly when the counter person asks me what sauce I wanna get...its like...Sweet Onion?! Gees. It's so expensive for what it is though...You could make it yourself...if you weren't lazy like me that is.

I've never had Viagra ...maybe i've had sex on the beach but it would be too long ago to remember... maybe I should try again. I love toblerone! it's LOVELY! :D Chocolate and alcohol, best mix ever!

As for basic spirits...tequila sunrise is nice. I used to like bourbon and coke too Cindy, but once I got really sick on it...and it's really hard to have it ever again lol... I'm such a girl, I drink bicardi breezers... But they're sugary..and colourful!!! What else could you ask for?

Yeah, beer is gross. Cheers to that!

Hey Winston, why don't you just go to the pageant, you live in Sydney right? I think it'll be ten times better if you actually go cuz it always sucks when it's on teevee.

Rachel: I don't know what Hanes is lol They're definitely not designer prints, they're like $35 xD

Andu: What's up with giving up on drinking already :glug: You only just got to the legal age and now you're giving up?

I just realised that subway food is really bad. The last two times when I've been really hungry and desperate for hot food, subway food has disappointed me ><"

Hey!

Haha, well i don't actually want to watch it, it's my gf who wants to, and she just wants to watch a segment of it, so hence i'm trying to find someone who can record it for me. haha

Cindy, I don't get how girls don't like beer, before my incident, i used to LOVE beer, it's like so refreshing and nice :D hehe Especially Toothey Extra dry :D nice stuff.

i like all the girly drinks too , bacardis and whatnots. just cos they look nice and taste really nice! all such a range of flavours ...man, gotta try them all at once one time. anyone wanna come and try with me?

coronas are really nice, heineken has a really strong beer taste..leaves it on your breath, san miguels are SMOOOOOTH , and TOOHEYS EXTRA DRY is literally crisp and dry. oh man, that was like an epic beer. hahahaha and dont forget crown lager! expensive , right in the middle of tasting alcoholic and bitter.

im not sure about having sex on the beach, but i like going swimming and bodyboarding on the beach....lulz. definitely too young for sex. especially on the beach! sand would get in places you dont want it.......

lulz im being sarcastic . i think....

I LIKE CAESAR SALAD!!!!

Oh BERNICE LIU IS IN SYDNEY FOR THE SYDNEY PAGEANT!!! STALK HER FOR ME CHRIS!!! PLEASE!!! I'll give you a caesar salad...wait...maybe not since I like those as well :)

anyways...i don't like beer that much...because it's really bitter...and...it makes you go toilet a lot...LOL..
i love Smirnoffs Black..it's like vodka and lemon?

hey jay ed: you're welcome in the Aussie thread anyday, we're basically one country anyways hahaha.

cindy: i shall try 'sex on the beach' soon, sounds interesting :) There's actually a drink called Viagra? Im so lost haha. You know i work in a chemist, and you would be suprised at the customers who buy viagra- it's always the ones who you never assume need it lol.

chris: you seem really eager to go for a drink, trust me, there are many many opportunities to come! Slow down or you'll burn out and run out of drinks like anduz and me and many others- once you get sick of something, it's really hard to have it again.

jagerbombs are seriously the bomb. I do three and im so so tipsy, i think it's the chemical reaction of the red bull and the jagermeister that makes people go nutty. talking about chemistry, one of my nerdy friends told me that drinking water actually helps prevent hangovers. And it works as long as i've done it. It's because you get hangovers due to dehydration, so as long as you have one glass of water for ever drink before you go to bed, you should be fine :)

hmm~ think perth and SG are considered expensive for drinks... compared to places that have beers that cost less than bottled water... (.. maybe Thailand, Bali, Philippines~?)

green tea and alcohol makes me go... cos they're diuretic...
I think the below article is good..
http://www.alcohol.org.nz/BodyEffect.aspx?PostingID=671
"pounding headache is caused by dehydration".. ".. only true cure for a hangover is time, however there are some things you can do to lessen your discomfort. Drink plenty of water, nourish your body with food, toast and fruit at breakfast. Consume food with some sugar, alcohol has broken down the liver's sugar stores, these need replaced. Get plenty of rest and sleep."

I've always hated going to the toilets during movies. There was a time I really really needed to go during one of the LOTR movies (and we all know how long they are) and it made it worse because it was near the end and they had a water scene!

haha Rudd went to my uni =D yay, my 3 seconds of fame by association (not really).

I was so excited on polling day because this was the first time i've voted in a Federal Election. I thought that people would be showering me with pamphlets/attention and that there would be heaps of people at the both and I would get caught up in the emotion of the election. But that didn't happen at all, instead, there were about 5 other people voting when I was, and i only received 3 pamphlets (which i threw away 2 mins later) upon entering the polling place. What an anti-climax... Plus, it turns out my 1.5cent worth of a vote didn't mean anything since my area is like 80% Labor.

Anyways, on the topic of election. I'ld like to shamelessly throw Aiyo Aiyo propaganda all around this thread. Come on Aussies, join us for this year's Winter (Summer) Games! The school and uni holidays are around/coming soon and where better to spend it that playing crazy games on the forum? Come pop by the adoption thread =D

Darkshrimp
12-02-2007, 07:16 AM
haha yea, it doesn't stand for anything, it just sounds like newbie, but some how noob is just better to type than newbie.

Noob

The game definition of noob is usually someone, often in online games who acts in offensive ways to other users or people that surround them and refuse to go away, or stay by any other methods for the sole purpose of annoying others. The word noob can also mean in an online game someone who did something stupid, or asked an obvious question. For example, if someone asks a question answered in the FAQ or is common knowledge, others will call that person a noob.

flies are rare(r) in MANY other countries

flies are DEFINITELY not as annoying in MANY other countries- they hang around rubbish and whatever, but not ppl.

FLIES ARE ANNOYING AND IM SO GLAD IM GONNA SKIP LIKE A THIRD OF THE AUSTRALIAN SUMMER , . haha.

and cindy...well of course you're cool , but just...not as cool...as the ppl in SS. though why didnt you choose SS ? there's mother hen!

gotta run for dinner! cya guys later...or never

ps: diaoness, i heard that it was actually flies are attracted the the proteins..or minerals on our faces. i think it's proteins. that's why they go round your eye and mouth..

cinsin

I think killing all flies will disturb the food chain somehow.

I've cried outside before just not in the middle of the day. Do flies not like night or something? :glug:

WAH! Chris, so offended by the fact that CINDY IS NOT COOLER THAN SS. I didn't join them cuz I wanted to start fresh, I know too many people in SS and the whole point of new groups was to meet NEW people.

haha.. i'm doing some part-time now.. transcripting some research discussion... so, kinda listening to a tape, and trying to type out what they said..

*grrrr*... now I'm soooo hating people who can't pronounce their words clearly, or speak too fast, and those who speak with bad grammar.. haha...:D

and yeah.. I so agree.. hehe.. sometimes it's the expressions of the speaker, rather than the language, that is cute:shy:

Haha Darkshrimp (sorry don't know people's names here), that's so cute. Yeah, I guess Aussies and their accents are damn cute. Except when you get to the bogans...mmm... But when it's next to an American accent (i.e. in House), then it sounds even better :p

No one says they wanna learn any other accents (who would wanna learn Singlish! :P), cause ours is the best!!!

*hides*

Anyway...anyone contemplating how they'll ever afford a house when they get older? *sigh* >_< Stupid property prices!

lol cindy =P save some money for a more spectacular fireworks display the year after xD

Every year I only buy for my bestie and this year I left it last minute and I can't believe a Maroon 5 CD is that hard to find! I went to all the major CD stores in the shopping centre and nobody had a copy

Not to mention people turning up at the shopping centre at 7:30 in the morning! WTF for??? It's not even open!

Happy New Year guys! Hope you all had fun on NYE and spent the time happily =)

I did go and see the fireworks...dunno why though. I go every year and I'm always slightly disappointed afterwards...but I still go the following year. The New Year hype is way over-rated. A lot of my friends actually just stayed home.

Cindy: 45 degrees? o.0 my God...the highest it's got in Perth is 40 so far though I think 45 isn't that far off. Gah...not looking forward to it. So what did you do for NY then? Lay on your tiles and sleep? ^^

So that's where you've gone to Chris! Normally I see you around somewhere, sometime or other =)

Awww...lonely in HK? Did you go alone? That would suck. If I remember correctly, you can't speak Cantonese...0.o oh dear...

------------------
Maroon 5's album is very good. But the Australian version doesn't include some tracks that are, in my opinion, some of the best songs on the whole CD. I think there's a track from the Japanese edition and an iTunes free track that is <3 Adam Levine's voice is divine...

Sha: What's the other tracks called? I don't really like the bonus tracks on the supposed special edition, they're so slow and so not Maroon5 ><

Gosh, the one and only day I decide to spend money and go shopping and everything I want is sold out :depresse: This is why I never go shopping!

oi, you melbournians.. drag your asses up to syd.. AND WE'LL HAVE A K MARATHON!

heheh i'd drag myself down there.. but alas, i am not yet 18 and am not allowed to state-jump whenever i want to..

speaking of k.. where's ll.jj SHE OWES ME A K MARATHON *glare glare*

i am bored as hell these holidays. played basketball yesterday.. now it hurts to move, because we forgot to stretch, and played 4 hours of basketball.
i hope y'all are having fun. tis late, must go. gnight y'all

Sha
01-12-2008, 02:00 AM
Cindy: The other bonus tracks are:

Figure It Out
Losing My Mind
Miss You Love You
Story
The Way I was
Until You Get Over Me

Yeah, there's quite a few of them but like I said, they're from all over the place. Which I think is unfair. I can't stand it when some countries get bonus tracks Australia doesn't have

Honey, the reason why it was sold out is cos you left it til too late. I went to buy my friend a Nintendo DS for her christmas present and I went one month earlier and they were already sold out >.< Just goes to show you how quick you have to be. Gah.

Reading back 2 pages, OMG, the Olympics! Almost forgot! 4 years has passed since I first started uni & since Ian Thorpe fell into the pool...

I stayed home on NYE as well which I thought was a real bummer! I had a flight the next day and I had to pack, that's why. It was so stinking hot that I felt beads of sweat rolling down my neck even when I was motionless!

I'm in LA at the mo!! =D

Hi xiaoli, haven't seen you around for awhile. What are you doing in LA? Studying/working?

Sha: Wow, that's a lot of bonus tracks; nearly a whole new album! (Would you happen to have them?)
It is unfair that other countries don't get the same bonus tracks. Oh and with my shopping trip I was referring to the recent DVD sales not the Christmas one, I know I left that one till late and it was my fault

Britt: You need to drag your ass down south when you turn 18 so you can come to my 21st cocktail party! And you know I've been bored as hell as well. I'm online like 24/7 now...so sad.

OMG! You at UCLA?? That is soo cool!! I so wanna go there!!

Yeah I wish I started uni here since 1st year! It's awesome. Because virtually all the students live on or around campus.. it's like a little community in itself. There's so much to do and so much going on! So many opportunities and new ppl to meet!

But it could also be that since I'm in a foreign country (and don't know anyone) I'm more proactive which is why I'm getting more out of it. Also, I stand out here with my accent. No one really cares how I speak in Australia lol

Definitely recommend that you guys study abroad though! It's an experience!

kirasuran
01-31-2008, 04:21 AM
xiaoli - oooh is it that good?

ive never really liked the idea of studying in USA . i have relatives in Houston, ive been there a couple of times for holidays and the whole USA thing seems like a vacation for me. and even for a vacation it doenst feel completely right. there's a sense of insecurity, i think . impending danger or whatnot..........and i dont think i could study there , there'd be too many activities to do!

however i might want to go to France in the future, whether for study or not i dont know...but thinking about it, i wont be able to fully understand what they're saying in lectures so ill fail my course hahahaha ! anyone wanna come to France with me?

jo - rofl! 4 hours of swimming is a freakin lot! im not sure i could do 3 hours straight of swimming....the most ive done was like 3 hours bodyboarding but then thats floating as well...you must be a very good swimmer to be able to swim over here rofl, AND avoid the immigration officers!

icetears-
02-05-2008, 03:29 AM
^ LOL to be honest it wasn't that perfect, but perfect if you wanted to see eyecandies, but even then, they had most exposure for Jay, not the other two.

The film's pretty pathetic in terms of plot, climax, etc. Even the starting comical scenes were a pretty weak, if you thought about it later. But the touching part did touch me. But honestly, compare it with Secret, it's well :wink2:

Hi guys! Wow, we all seem to be spread all over the globe, even though we're from Australia.

I just came back from Malaysia last Sunday. Not sure which emotion I'm feeling more: glad to be home or sad I had to leave Malaysia. Gah. It sucked cos I had to work the next day.

But Jay Chou flew into KL the day before I was leaving (Saturday) and I didn't even know! He and the cast of Kung Fu Dunk were going to one of the shopping centres in Selangor for some promo thing and I had absolutely no idea til I came back! *pulls out hair* I had the chance to see him and I missed it. GAH!

Anyways...

Cindy: Yes, I have those songs and shall upload them for you shortly. Within the next few days probably. How about I just email them to you? You wanna PM me with your email? Trust me? hehehe...

I wasn't here for Australia Day, hence the lack of spazz about it ^^ HOWEVER, I get to take a long weekend whenever I want cos I wasn't here to take the public holiday off. So I'm thinking I'll use it this Friday. YAY! I need to catch up on sleep and also I need to finish unpacking. I bought a LOT of stuff. In fact, I was soo overweight in luggage, I got fined AUD$500. Crummy huh?

Mei: You popped into the Aussie thread! You should definitely (NOT maybe) come to Australia to study but...Cindy is in Melbourne and I'm in Perth. So if you choose Melbourne, you'll break my heart and if you choose Perth, you'll break Cindy's heart. Just go and study somewhere in between...is there a university in the NT? Hahaha...you'd die from the heat....I'm just kidding. There are great unis both here and in Melbourne so it's up to you. I'll fly over to see you and Cindy and Chris!

Andu: How was your trip to Malaysia/S'pore? Good? I had the best time...shopping, shopping, shopping. And I ate so much jackfruit it wasn't funny ^^ You didn't stay longer for CNY?

-------------------------------------------------------
I bought that movie - CJ7 - but haven't got round to watching it yet. Looks good though. I <3 Stephen Chow. I wanted to see Kung Fu Dunk while I was in KL but I missed it by 4 days cos it's not released til Feb 7th. Sigh.

When i saw the trailers for jay's movie, it looked like a really low budget film, so i doubt it will show in australia

You're kidding me right? Did you not see the amount of CGI they had in the film? I would never think it was a low budget film :bleh:

Wenmei, you should definitely do two degrees haha Do a degree in Perth and then do a Masters in Melbourne :D

Sha, OMYGOSH $500  That's a hefty fine, you should've brought Jay back in your luggage  I'll PM you my email when I remember xD I'm going to see Maroon5...did I tell you? Are you going to see them too? I'm pretty sure they'll be in Perth too ^^

But honestly, compare it with Secret, it's well :wink2:

heh.. I think some "flash-back" portions didn't really flow that smoothly.. the change of mood was too sudden... (but I shan't comment too much in depth b4 others watch it:D)... and I guess we have to consider that Hall 602 was definitely not CINEMA material... but yeah man.. all those cute scenes (esp umbrella scene..) that Jay did... *priceless*~!!! :bleh:

WAHAHHA SHA!!!!!

I soooooo know the feeling of wanting to kick yourself... cos I didn't know he had a bball game @ Siam Discovery... after the BKK press conference... *sobz*... the PR should have done a better job at listing his itinerary~!!!!

but kira... 5 times? haha.. seems like she's "avoiding" you... :bleh:... but.. erm.. WHO is she? haha...

ohh.. I got fined before too.. Austrian Air (not australian...) was sooooo stingy~!! my total was < 30k~!!! and I used to get away with 35k on SQ before... :-x

Mei: Haha...I <3 seeing your posts - they're so cute and all over the place. They make me happy just looking at them (how can you not be with all the smiley faces rolling around and the crazy bold text? ^^) :D

That's what I miss about you, pumpkin, your ability to make me happy so easily.

I don't really think two degrees of the same major would do you any good - Cindy's idea is probably a bit more...err...practical. That's if you wanna take a Master's Degree though - a bit far away isn't it? LOL

Yes, what Chris said is correct. That's what I meant as I have promised him. Seeing as how the two of them (Chris & Cindy) are over on the east, when I fly over there, I'd kill two birds with one stone (three if you were studying over there too).

Come over, right quick! How many years left????

Andu: YES! Wow, there's two of us from Perth here. Amazing hehe  Where abouts in Perth are you from?

Cindy: Okies, no worries. PM me when you're ready ^^

Oooo....lucky you. I love Maroon 5. Yes, they are coming to Perth (sometime in March/April I think) but no, I'm going to see them. Tell me how it is though hey? When is the concert? Adam Levine's voice is divine <3

Chris: Yeah, there's not many crappier feelings than that. There's little to no chance of Jay coming to Australia so when I'm in a country he happens to fly into, I completely throw it away. I could've taken photos and show y'all and everything!

Yeah, I'm trying not to think about the fine...though in the scheme of things, it's nothing compared to the amount of money I spend pver in KL. But very true, I could've bought much much more with that (and got fined even more. Ha!)/

Ok...well, reading back over my post, it does seem very negative but in actual fact, my trip was awesome. I stayed in a 5 star hotel so it was absolutely gorgeous - the service, the rooms, the food...it wasn't as hot as I'd expected which was a plus cos I can't stand hot weather. There's some of the best shopping centres I've been to over there (eg. The Pavillion), everything's almost 3 times cheaper there than here (AUD$1.50 for food!) and for two weeks, I had housekeeping look after me, do my laundry and drycleaning, clean up the room. etc. Heaven!

So it wasn't a complete failure

Jay~fire: Chris is talking about xiaoxun - the girl that he missed 5 times

Are you Thai, are you?

Wow, 30kg - that's a lot. We're only allowed 20kg (hence the reason why I was so overweight - how ridiculous is it to expect someone to only have 20kg of luggage? They just wanna make money...:-x

haha... nay... I can pronounce Thai numbers (for bargaining... haha..) and I'm OFTEN mistaken to be Thai cos I get charcoal-black under the sun pretty easily... :bleh: but NOPE~~ :D just happened to be in BKK for a family trip and happened to be soooo lucky to have a journalist friend covering the event!!! and cos she doesn't speak Chinese.. so I went in as her translator~!!!! :excited:

anyway.. everybody should be like USA.. 2 x 30kg bags.. hahaha...

and SHA.. ahha.. what I've learnt from my trips is... after you pack your clothes.. remove some... to make way for NEW clothes that you will definitely buy.. like it or not... hahaha...

I bought a set of clothes just to attend the BKK press conference cos I had only brought berms and slippers!!! hahah.. totally last min... :shy:

Chris: Work? First week back was crummy...I was so out of it and 'blur' that I was so grateful and relieved that I had Friday off. Second week (ie. this week) is much better. I'm starting to feel more like myself and well, it's not too bad considering I'm inside in aircon when it's boiling outside.

What's with the weather hey? Last week, Thursday to be precise, it poured so much that apparently it was the highest amount of rain we've received in 1 day EVER. Then on the next day, it was SO HOT! No wonder people get sick! The weather doesn't know what to do with itself!

At least in Malaysia it was constant. Cool in the morning til about 9am, pleasant til about midday, hot and humid til about 6pm followed by showers then it cools down. But here, we go through several seasons in a few days.

So where are you at in life, Chris? Has school started yet? Plans for uni? Doing any part-time work?

So Xiaoxun is your definition of pretty eh? Hmm...I've heard of that TV show but never really paid any attention to it.

So did you love Bangkok? Spend heaps? Haha...January's not too bad a time to go - Aprils the best/worst. Best cos that's the time of the Thai New Year and all the good fruit is out. Worst cos it's summer then and bloody hot.

Jay~fire: LOL. Yeah, I do that too! Pack all this unnecessary stuff, realise I'm going OTT then take out some stuff. But in the end, it's still too much. I only packed 5 sets of clothes for my 2 week trip to KL and I still didn't have room. I think the problem is with me buying too much, not taking too much.

I think Malaysian Airlines is just too stingy with their weight. My mum and dad just came back from Thailand yesterday and they had over 80kgs between the two of them! They didn't get fined! How unfair is that? And what's really ironic is they're trying to promote Malaysia Year 2008. How encouraging is it to know you'll get fined for buying stuff and helping the economy?!

You can count in Thai? Cool. Ha. Up until what number? Sarm pun? Sip pun? ^^

I flew back on the 3rd too! Where abouts are you from? Is there a name we can call you other than Jay~fire?

Andu: I'm in East Perth - right in the heart of the city ^^ Willetton's near Rossmoyne and Winthrop isn't it? Let me guess, you went to Rossmoyne SH? That school is very hard to get into...got a waiting queue like you wouldn't believe...

hahah.. 5 sets sound reasonable...:-) so maybe the problem is a huge wallet, a small suitcase, and an unreasonable airline luggage load... *wink*

haha.. guess malaysia's getting it both ways.. as in.. you buy more stuff.. and you get fined more.. so both the shops and the airlines benefit... 2 wins for them.. 1 huge loss for you... :bleh:

sigh sha, you make work sound so bad...is your job like sitting at a desk all day or what? because im really afraid of getting a job and having to be stuck in one place all the time. im the type of person who cannot stand still , literally. when i am standing, i am shifting from one foot to the other, looking around and out the windows. so im really scared of having to be stuck down!

as for my life, im currently in the ' im a total deadbeat' stage. everyday i wake up at 11am-1pm , play PS2, go on the internet, watch anime, drama, and just stay at home pretty much. i have been doing this for like 3 weeks already, only gone out a few times with friends...its pretty sad. 2 of my best friends are overseas, the others have work/busy with other stuff , so im pretty much by myself. im feeling lonely at times too..as for uni, it starts soon in 2 or 3 weeks time. guess im looking forward to it...somewhat

YES shes so pretty! but also i like her smile i guess. its really warm and gentle...rofl .

bangkok was awesome cos of the CHEAPFOOD!!! i love pad thai, i have it here frequently cos theres some pretty authentic thai restrautns in sydney, and so i was like 'YES IM GOING TO THE HOMETOWN OF PAD THAI' hahaha and yeh i ate it nearly every day! i didnt buy much, a little bit of sports clothing but thats all! plus im too fat for the sizes there..and also there seems to be a lot more womens clothing in general, but thats also in HongKong!

rachel- hahahah ! that reminds me. in BKK like in the taxi, when someone like made the driver stop suddenly or something, the driver would (presumably) swear at the guy in thai , or at least scold him .. and then the driver would like, talk to my dad in thai for a bit whilst scolding that person haha and my dad would be nodding and saying "yes" hahaha !

i really quite like thailand, the people are really nice and it's a pretty nice place. just sometimes feels a bit insecure..but might just be cos im in a foreign place. OH! and the MRT is cool, how you get those little token things, was pretty fun for the first time!

andu - hahaha man! JUST TYPE !!! i mean, iim jus typing and i forget how much im typing and jus talking... you're lucky you live near sha!!! lulz ,

Andu: LOL. Yeah, that's kinda obvious (that you're not made out for forums, that is). I'm not really either. It depends on my mood. I'm like you in the sense that large amounts of text are somewhat intimidating. I get cross-eyed sometimes just trying to look at it. So I have to be in a patient kind of mood to read then reply. The fact that I'm also not on the net that much usually doesn't help cos when I come back, there's heaps to catch up on ^^ But if I can do it, you can too! =p

I love love love the city. I couldn't possibly live anywhere else. I don't like the quietness of suburbs - I prefer the hustle and bustle. And cos my work is in West Perth, it's easy for me to get there too - I just catch the Red Cat there and save heaps on bus/train fare.

It's not too expensive once you work I guess. I bought my apartment last year so I'm not paying rent anymore which is awesome. But my mortgage repayments are 3 times more than what I used to pay in rent >.< But it's one of the best feelings in the world, owning your own place =D

So are you living on your own Andu or sharing with friends? Or are your parents here too?

You're Chris' age, no?

Haha...there you go - a HUGE block of text for you wuahaha ^^

Rachel: So you can count up to ten? =p haha...cool.

Then you're not Asian? You're European? Or were you just born in Europe but are Asian?

I was on Malaysian Airlines when I came back. Besides, I don't think you were coming back to Perth anyway...

Ha...the GIF of Jay you got from Mei there is so funny. His hair reminds me of GD of Big Bang ^^

Yeah, I've heard of that place. But I can't believe you went there with your folks! Embarrassed much? Aigoo...I'd die.

Chris: Work isn't that bad, it's just that it's a bit hard tp adjust considering I'd been doing nothing but shopping for 2 weeks. I actually really love my job and the company I'm in. Yes, it is a office job so I'm sitting down for the majority of the day but my chair's really comfy and I have a great view so it's fine.

You don't want an office job then? What would you like? Something more hands-on like site work or something?

Haha...I remember that (the waking up late, sleeping late, doing nothing). Student life is mainly like that though. I guess you should just try to enjoy now because before you know it, you'll be waking up at 7am everyday and going to work. I used to be able to stay up til 2/3am before but now I'm lucky if I can make it past midnight. Most nights I'm asleep by 11pm.

You're not a deadbeat Chris. I wish you wouldn't say such things about yourself. Tsk tsk. Really. Remember what I used to always say to you? Have a bit more faith in yourself. You're really capable of so much more than you think. I'm sure you'll do fabulously at uni.

What are you studying by the way? Or have you already told me and I've forgotten?

Pad Thai everyday. Aiyo. Doesn't that make you...well, kinda sick of it? There's lots of food I love but I couldn't eat it everyday.

So did you find you had a bit of a problem communicating with the Thai people? Did you have to resort to pointing and calculators and sign language? ^^

sha... wahahha.. yes I can count to ten... :D somehow it sounds funny... being commended for being able to count to ten.. feels like a baby getting praised for taking its first step...

and yes yes.. very asian.. i love rice~!! haha... definitely not european..

GD? Big Bang? i'm sorry I've not heard of "them" before.. is it some comic? TV show? cartoon?

haha... nah.. it was okay.. my parents were a bit taken-aback, but overall, I think they were okay with it.. I think it's quite a cool place to visit~~ the outdoor seating looked very nice, but I didn't wanna make friends with the mozzies.. :bleh:

Rachel: LOL...well, sorry if it came across as being strange. I just think it's kinda cool that's all. I mean, I think it's awesome that I can count to 10 in Chinese and Japanese and Thai too! ^^ Hey, it's not a small matter XD

You love rice! Wuahaha...that made me laugh. Very random! But yes, an Asian must love rice - otherwise, what to eat? Dilemma! I like noodles more than rice though. Especially the Japanese Udon noodles. YUM.

Big Bang is a Korean R&B/Hip-Hop group. GD or G-Dragon is the group's leader. He's recently cut his hair (bowl-cut) just like the GIF of Jay there. See my AV and banner? That's TOP or Tempo. He's a rapper from Big Bang. He's also my favourite in the group. Some images to help you along:

BIg Bang is <3 The boys are so talented and their music is awesome.

I take it you're not into the Korean music scene, huh? ^^

Your parents sound very cool. I mean, I agree that the purpose of the place is to promote safe sex and all that but I dunno, it's just way too out there for me.

So I'm curious...who else do you listen to apart from Jay Chou?

Andu: LOL. It's not so much that I don't like reading or writing lots, I just have to be in the right mood to do it. I can write amazing amounts of text once the feeling hits me ^^

And you wrote 3 paragraphs! Wow! I'm so proud of you! XD

So you're 19/20? What are you studying at uni Andu and where are you studying? Murdoch is closest to you, no?

You know, I'm all for living with your parents while you're studying. It's probably the wisest thing to do. I had to move out though cos my folks live in Rockingham. So if I had to go to uni at 9am, I'd have to get up at 5am. No thank you! It was so weird moving out. I so was not used to doing everything. And I missed my mum's cooking like you wouldn't believe. But I see them every weekend so it's not a biggie.

But I digress...

I think it's best to not work until after uni and spend those 3/4 years just concentrating on one thing and studying hard. I mean, all my friends who were juggling part-time jobs and full-time study were so stressed. But it's an advantage in the sense that they have experience and that is worth a lot when you apply for jobs. I had the hardest time finding a job cos they all wanted experience. But I was very lucky cos my company provided full training =) So there's pros and cons I guess.

I've brought up the subject of a PA with my boss and he recommends a girl, not a boy. So I'm afraid you're out of luck there Andu. But I have friends who might be able to help you, if you're really serious. Most of them are in IT and Accounting so if that meshes with you, let me know ok ^^

There you go, ANOTHER big wall for you ^^ I'm slowly breaking you in XD

sha, definitely, everytime i check this place, you punch me with that big wall, but dw, i enjoy it :d haha

yea, i still think i need some job for the money. coz i stoped getting money off parents after i was 18, so right now, most of my spending are outa mah own pockets.

I am into IT :D ahah, lately been looking for a data entry job, coz that thing doesn't need experience, just need a fast typing speed. :D There''s so many receptionists wanted around the place, but i dunno if i''m good at answering phones, and i hate phones, i don''t mind customer service face to face, just don''t call. haha

I am currently going to UWA doing Electrical Engineering, and I can''t relaly find a job relating to what i''m studying till i finish year 2..so yea :(

sha~ haha.. I think numbers are the basics to bargaining/haggling... LOL... so we should maybe have a thread with numbers in all languages to facilitate other fans who are travelling

rice goes with everything and anything... but comparatively, udon is a little more tricky... but I do have my noodle moments too..

what's <3? I've always though it's a bouquet of flowers... but I think I'm wrong...

yeah.. I only know a few korean songs... you know KIMGUNMO? my korean hostelmate was listening to him, so he's one of the few I know...

hahah... don't worry.. once you are at the restaurant, you won't feel awkward.. cos it's everywhere.. IN YOUR FACE kinda thing... another far analogy... just like how girls weren't allowed to even speak previously, and here we are... plastering the discussion boards :bleh:

ohh.. I listen to almost everything & everybody.. classical.. R&B... pop.. but just not too good with jazz... I can't catch the beats.. haha... but perhaps a better answer to your question would be.. if there's a KTV session.. I'll probably be able to join in during the choruses of all the songs..

darkshrimp.. there should be a career section in your uni... they usually have quite a few contacts for temp jobs, etc... maybe lab assistant or even tutoring... can make you lots of money :-)
and if you're into IT, I think you can do de-bugging for programming too~~

:excited: I saw Big Bang! <333

G-Dragon is super cute! I blame it on Britt (watiwat) for getting me into BB xD

I love the song Lies!

Ahh...Sha if you need a PA that's female I can fly over ASAP

Okay, this was a random post

Andu: Yes, well see how well you're doing with my help? Look at the last reply you wrote - OMG - your posts are getting longer and longer! Fabulous! :D

:? You must be super-smart - you must be to be studying engineering AND to be studying it at the UWA. It's not easy to get into that uni. At least a mininum of 80 TER. Good on ya

LOL you hate phones  I imagine that most people dislike those kinda jobs but a lot of my friends who were studying IT had to lump it for 6 months just to get experience. Like it's so easy to get a job with Telstra as a customer service officer where all you do is answer phones and get yelled at. It really tries people's patience. But I guess that can't be helped huh? Most first jobs are pretty crummy.

I have never - I repeat, NEVER - seen a male receptionist. Or a male PA as matter of fact. I wonder why that is. I did see/hear/read(?) somewhere that people are nicer and more open to females. More receptive I guess is the word. Take for example, if a guy walks into an office, if the first person that greets him is a male, then depending on how friendly that male receptionist is, there might be a bit of a problem with first impressions of the company. Females tend to smile and be friendlier and I guess it's strange if a male smiles like this :-) at another male, it might be somewhat WEIRD.

Are you planning on taking a Post-Grad or Masters? I had a friend doing what you're doing do honours and he had to write a thesis. He made me check it for him and ohmahgawd...it was like 100 pages long. Made me cross-eyed. And there I was complaining about my 25 page assignment. Absolute horror. Don't know why anyone would wanna subject themselves to that kind of punishment.

If I hear anything, I'll let you know :wink2:

Rachel: Hehe...yes, maybe you should go and start the thread on numbers haha...though I think there is a language thread somewhere. I know there's a Korean one here.

Erm...rice with...potato salad? :glug: Me thinks not. But I know what you mean. Yeah, I can only eat the noodle with certain things. That's why I like it more I suppose cos I don't get to eat it that often

LOL. You are sooo cute :bleh: <3 is a loveheart. But me saying Big Bang is <3 translates to Big Bang is love. That's fangirl speak. Are you going to ask me what a fangirl is? :brows: hehe...

I've heard of Kin Gun Mo but never really listened to his songs. You've heard of se7en right? :glug: I'm gonna pass out if you say no...OMG...

What do you mean, girls weren't allowed to speak previously? You mean back in the olden days? Like as in Medieval England and stuff?

So you don't have a fave singer/band? I know what you mean. I've never liked Jazz or blues either. The only singer I like who comes close to Jazz is Michael Buble. And even then I don't like his 'swing' songs. I prefer his more poppy ones like 'Home' or 'Everything'.

Cindy: Yeah! B to the I to the G - BIG BANG!

I never really saw the appeal in GD for some reason. He's too girly for me. And he's very skinny. And the whole bun thing he had going on - Bong's kinda crazy =) But he's adorable in his own way, they all are.

Now TOP...there's one fine man :brows: His voice is sooo sexy! When he speaks I die :D And he's got pretty eyes ^^ Shame he has to cover them up with his sunnies

Lies is pretty cool huh? I'm obsessed with Crazy Dog! GD's rap in there is awesome! Love the way he says 'Oh mah God' <3

Yay, feel the BB love :excited:

Cindy honey, that's very sweet but you don't wanna work for me. I'm a hard-ass  Hehe...

Starry: WOW...14...I'm in shock. Man, that seems so long ago for me. You're 10 years - that's a decade - younger than me :glug:

sha... hahah... male receptionists... oh wait.. there was this nice old guy @ my old hostel... but I guess it's rather difficult to imagine young guys being receptionists..... but I think I do often see bald middle-age guys at backpackers' inns... esp for night shifts:?

"number thread".. hmm.. lemme consolidate a few more first...

hahaha.. i've eaten rice with potato salad before~!! it does go well~!! try it~~!! :bleh:

so you prefer soup noodles (like ramen...) or fried noodles (like yaki-soba)?
can't really remember the name.. but I like the cold "hiyashi" ramen... which is usually eaten during spring... :D

hmm.... generally, I think it's easier to get sick of noodles because the entire bowl is just one flavour... whereas with rice.. you can have a bit of veg, meat, seafood, etc. :D I guess I'm easily bored :D

*grinz*... don't worry.. i think I know fan-girl :-)

ohh.. yes yes.. I know se7en... just not familiar with their songs... who are the other "must-know" artistes? I think I need to update my "database".. haha..

yes.. as in girls weren't given the same freedom of thought and speech as we have now..

oh yes.. Michael Buble's voice/songs are rather soothing to the ears...

hmm... I like too many songs from too many singers/bands to name an absolute fave:D
but there is an exception... I am in love with ALL... and i really mean ALL... of Jay's songs... :shy:

Whilst I would hoot 'Aussie Aussie,' it sounds less impressive.

Pardon my laziness for not reading the 25 pages or so but what are talking about?

^Well if you are indeed a true Aussie, doesn't the laziness just come naturally? xD

I've been too lazy to read most of the posts, they've just become so long :glug: Even Andu is joining in!

What is the point of labour day anyway? :?

I don't have a day off either because I usually don't go to Uni on Mondays :D

And isn't Perth's labour day different to Melbournes?
