So there's this nasty Vietnamese singer who thinks its ok to copy other artists music and make profit!! Please help Jay Chou do something about it. :-x

Oh calm down its could just be a cover song :happy:. He probably got permission to use it anyways, I mean Jay is popular all over Asia so if someone tried to "copy" him then wouldn't he be caught already?

It looks like those videos are a year or 2 old...It also says in one of them that it is just translated. Maybe it's not complete copyright infringement? I dunno, I could be wrong. I wouldn't be the first time, lol

I'm a Vietnamese and i can tell you that those song are not a translation. It's a copy and very despicable. Sorry Jay, we are so ashamed of this.

Ok, so this has really caught my attention.

Andy Quach?! Nope, never heard of him before... but however, i'm feeling kind of like... half mad and half surprise seeing this. Well yeah, he would be caught if he copyrighted those songs from other artists, without permission. So yeah, maybe he got the permission in doing this.

I went into myspace just now and i've tried listening to all the songs in his media player, and could recognize the 4 songs if i'm not mistaken, but couldnt recognize the last one. Not sure whose song his 'copying' again.

Isn't imitation the highest form of flattery? If someone's covering "Fa Ru Xue" and "An Hao," it's not the end of the world. A lot of people have covered Jay's songs, but I'd just never heard Vietnamese covers of his songs. We can't be sure that he got permission, but I think Jay's songs are popular enough in Vietnam that people would recognize these songs as covers.

Those songs are being copied without Jay's consent. I am Vietnamese too, but i feel that this is just wrong. His whole album contain songs from Jay Chou, Wang Lee Hom, Se7en, JJ Lin, Ryu, and so much more. There are so many Vietnamese artists out there that are doing this. It's just sad to see my race doing something this low. I pray that this guy gets sued, because he's the worst copy cat out there. His whole singing career is possible because of the Jay and everyone else, and they yet to receive credit . Andy here didn't compose or pay for any of the songs nor notify the anyone about it.

How do you know that he has copied Jay without his consent? The only way to probably find out is buying an album from him and look at the credits or something.

i have seen his album before, and it does not have credits or anything.. Trust me, he wouldn't ask other people to use their songs because that is a flat out "No".

My gosh, some guy on youtube cursed at me saying that Andy's songs are not copied but they are being translated.. The lyrics of the songs doesn't even like match the translations.. How dumb can they be? This is really pissing me off!

Hmm... a lot of people know Chinese here, right? Maybe somebody from here who does could post a thread or something on Jaycn.com's forum, it'd be sure to get more attention there. And, they might know if this guy has been given permission or not.

That being said, if this guy did this without permission, he's
1. An idiot, he'll of course be caught sooner or later.
2. Has no real talent.

And, if he really didn't translate the original Mandarin lyrics from the song into Vietnamese (Sorry, I can't confirm this, I have no knowledge of Vietnamese), then... that's just terrible. I hope this guy gets caught. I don't think that the song sounds absolutely terrible but of course I like Jay's better.

and this singer is so low to just copy songs instead of writing his own.. or get's people to write him songs!

well... has anybody seen an official video or anything... they usually credit people in there for lyrics, music, etc! If they've stated Jay it should be okay.. if not... I don't really have a comment for this.. just too angry!!

This guy isnt even famous enough to have a English Wikipedia page. But he's not very original..he keeps 'translating' other really famous chinese songs.

But Jay will always be THE original. nuff said.
