How long have you been a Jay Chou fan?

Hi, I'm a little lazy right now to post a "Hi, I'm new here" thread, so I decided to ask this I guess. I also don't like posting new topics, but it seems a little quiet here, and I also searched the exact title, and I don't think there has been a question like this, but I am pretty sure there has somehow, sorry if I repeated a thread or however you people like to call it.

I have been a Jay Chou fan ever since I saw the Initial D Live action movie, which was only about 1 or 2 months ago, but I knew who Jay Chou was before I became an actual fan. I am already listening to most of his songs, and I look forward to finding out more about Jay Chou's career, movies, music, etc.

I've been a Jay Chou fan since 2005. It started when I was sitting at the back of a friend's car and they played a really nice song, and I immediately fell in love it. Then he opened me to new JC songs and I fell in love with those too! The song was 'Snow like Hair' by the way!

The first song I heard from him is Kai Bu Liao Kou and my first Jay Chou album is Qi Li Shiang! I have to say that he's the one who got me into chinese music. Before I listen to chinese songs, I only listen to english songs...

I think he revolutionalised the chinese music industry... but sadly... he has too many imitations... Jay Chou wannabes who copy his style and make no sense out of it! Jay's style... to me... is authentic and original! (I agree with his own opinion in his song Hong Mo Fang =D)

I discovered Jay when my husband bought the CD's of the Incomparable Concert home one day while he was studying Mandarin. That was early 2005 so it's been 4 years now and we've bought everything Jay has bought out since.. we just love it all. Discovering Jay was one of the best things about moving to Melbourne. I remember my husband gave me the Initial D movie for valentines day one year and he's been planning to take me to China just to go to a Jay concert. lol Thankfully Jay is coming to Australia so we don't have to wait any longer. :-)
