I went to see this film 2 days ago. Another Dreamwork Production.
Its about a story of the clumsy and chubby panda name Po aspiring to be a Kung Fu Warrior. Overall not a bad movie at all. If you're looking for some fun movie to watch over the weekend this is it. Kids will love it too!:-) most of the characters were being voiced by big hollywood actors:

Kungfu Panda's animation is cute but I think the plot is quite dumb, it's kind of expected. And Po is soooo cute! I like his tummy. Looks quite cool to bounce on. O_O
I love this quote, "Tomorrow's a mystery, yesterday's history, today's a gift, that's why it's called present." :D

I've been waiting to watch this movie ever since a few years back. I reckon the concept sounds awesome.
It will be released in Australia on the 26th of June. I will have to wait to see it.
Do you guys know where I can get the taiwanese dubbed version, as wilber is the voice over in there :D

^ Fortunately for me, they screened the mandarin (taiwan) version in Singapore. WAHAHA. Anyways, you'll probably have to wait for the dvd to be officially released before you can get it, cos i have a feeling the china version won't be the same as the taiwanese one.
this movie scored 87% on the tomatometer at rottentomatoes. that's saying quite a lot. :D
and i would have watched the english version with jack black too, but i don't have time for it. guess i'll just have to wait for dvds too.
but the mandarin version was fantastic as well. and it was so hilarious cos i started laughing once the movie started. well the movie started with Po talking. and it's will's voice. HAHA. <333
i like the tortoise guy alot and the shifu too! :D
and yeah prawny you're right. the concept's not bad. :D the standard is like up there with Cars. so yeah it's great. <3

I wish Jackie had more lines. It was a cute movie, but too much of the Chinese stereotype I think, though. My little brother loved it! He wants to watch it again and again. Will did the Mandarin voice-over?! I have to hear that! I wonder if there's a decent Mandarin version I can find somewhere. :brows:
I thought it was funny that the red panda's name was "Shifu," which just means "master." How do they get around that in the Mandarin dub, or do they just call him "master" there, too? :?
It was hilarious when Po told his dad that he didn't think he was really his son! :bleh:

I think it's funny they called their master "Master Shifu". Master already means shifu, and vice versa. Aren't they repeating it? Haha. I loved the "Master WU GUI", it's funny to hear it in the english version.
Quite a light hearted and funny movie. :D

I watched this yesterday and it didn't disappoint!
PO is sooooo cute and I love Oogway!
But it makes me wonder why Po never lost weight when he was training with Shifu and didn't get to eat xD
Po's dad is quite humorous too, NOODLE DREAM and always putting the apron on PO

LOL. I think this is a very funny movie but I dont have the time to watch it!!!
Will have wait for DVD to release.
I agreed that it is a lighthearted movie. The story line is simple, with no suprises. My nephew couldnt stop laughing throughout the show. I find the show quite entertaining too.
I like the part where Master Wu Gui met Po near the peach tree during night time. I imagined Po would be there training in the middle of the night.. end up Po was there mouth stuffed with peaches :)
And another one is the part where the teacher acupunctured Po at the wrong node. I kinda forget the details now, because it's been quite some time ago. But it is a nice show to watch with children and friends :)

Dreamworks' animated film "Kung Fu Panda" has raked in 135 million yuan in three weeks and become the first animation to surpass box office revenues of 100 million yuan in the Chinese mainland.
The Beijing Morning Post quoted Huaxia Films, Chinese distribution agency of "Kung Fu Panda", as saying the film made 38 million yuan in the first week in China and 58 million yuan in the second week.
