The story revolves around the Zhong family, who owns the largest jewellery company in Taiwan, E-Shine. Jimmy Lin stars as Zhong Tian Qi, the second Zhong son, who had chosen to pursue his dream to become a professional F1 racer in Italy. However, he was forced to return to Taiwan to attend his elder brother, Zhong Tian Jun's engagement party with his ex-girlfriend Ou Ya Ruo.
Disappointed to learn that Ya Ruo chooses his brother over him, Tian Qi decided to steal the family heirloom -- Queen Mary -- which was to be auctioned on the same day in order to save E-Shine's cash flow problem.
Just as he was about to escape from his father's bodyguards, he bumped into Xia Zhi Xing and dropped the Queen Mary into her hands, causing everybody to believe that she is the one who plans to steal the expensive jewellery.
Xia Zhi Xing, acted by Yoo Ha-Na, is a professional con artist who make and sell fake jewelleries. Coincidentally, both of them had met each other a few years ago when she was running away from the police who had caught her cheating a rich mistress.
By fate, they meet each other again for the second time. A young master and a con artist, will their relationship trascends through objections and separations?

Personal Opinion:
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this drama. In the period where Ou Xiang Ju (idol-drama) mostly boast pretty face and bad plot/acting, My Lucky Star is like a gem in the dirt.
The first time I saw the DVD box, the cheesy title and Jimmy Lin (after such a long time, i thought he was returning from his grave or something), I thought this drama was a goner. But my friend kept on pestering me to watch it, saying it was the BEST drama ever. So i decided to give it a try.
The first 2 episodes have not really glued you to your TV yet. It started out something like My Girl (the K-drama staring Lee Da Hae), with the swindler-girl and rick-boy plot. But after the 3rd episode, i was seriously mesmerized.
Jimmy Lin's acting as the arrogant yet innocent young master was hillarious. As the show moves on, he further adds his character as this romantic and caring boyfriend who is willing to sacrifice the world just to make his girl happy. The scenes with Tian Qi and Xia Zhi Xing are so sweet and adorable it would make you smile like an idiot. Just who wouldn't love a guy who follows a 'dating manual' just because he doesn't know how to apologize and ended up stupidly standing in the rain for hours and hours waiting to be forgiven.
The dialogues are inspiring and heart-warming that you'll end up remembering it even after you have finished watching the show.
Even though the plot started out quite slow and predictable, it unexpectedly twist and turn every single episode, bringing in new casts and opening tied knots. Each new surprises made me even more curious that I just had to finish the whole drama in 2 days (yeap, sacrificed my weekend beauty sleep).
I just have to say that this is one of those rare dramas where all the casts have great acting skills. Their diverse characters complement one another like milk is to coffee.
Where Tian Qi is childish and romantic, Xia Zhi Xing is mature and independent. Where Tian Jun is kind and understanding, Ya Ruo is schemeing and ambitious.
All in all, My Lucky Star is what i call a complete package! If i have 100 thumbs, I'd raise it all up to support this drama...
Oh, not forgetting the OST... The songs are all so addicting that you'd end up humming it over and over again in the shower. It makes sad scenes even sadder and happy scenes even funnier.
The OST are as follows:
Opening Song: Ji Shu Ai Qing by Shivia Lee
Closing Song: Dui Wang by Jimmy Lin
