Hey people!
Im interested in seeing if there's any Korean fans that like Jay Chou cause out of all my Korean friends, only one does, the rest hate him cause he's 'ugly' without listening to his music.. haha. They also tell me that Koreans don't usually listen to too much foreign music other than their own Korean stars... (if there's any korean people out there, tell me if this is true! haha)
Also, it would be cool to know if there are any not-asian jay fans out there, like white, black, brown, etc, and tell me how you got into all this :D

I'm white and found Jay's music when searching for Chinese song lyrics in order to learn Mandarin--my third language. I actually found "Common Jasmin Orange" on Yahoo! Music and listened to it. It was one of very few Mandarin albums on Yahoo! Music, and I really liked it. Not very many non-Asians I know know about him, except through me.
I was completely shocked by how clean the rap was. Generally, the rap here is always about violence, sex, and drugs. I could not imagine a rap song about chess. I laughed until it hurt when I saw the music video for "Jiang Jun." I had never liked rap before, but I like a lot of Jay Chou's rap songs.

I'm not Korean,I'm Malay,well half White and half Malay...What a mix :D
I love Jay,I found out about him from my brother's girlfriend who lives in s'pore, she's a fan...She sent me one song "fearless" and I got hooked [that was before I had seen what he looked like] then from then on he was all I listened to.

korean people seem to listen to only k-pop mostly...
but frankly. i dunno well about korean pop singers except real great ones,,wheesung, yangpa.lee soo young..
i've been listening to chinese music and some other japanese artists' music all the time.
and my some other friends who majored in chinese related subject, and exprienced studing chinese in china or taiwan, they love and listen to jay's music,
hmm,,, i know we have good singers in korea,
