Where are you ninyagrrl ?.

Sheila on 7 is one of the most popular Indonesia group. Last year they were within the MTV AA Indonesia nomination and present one of the awards in Singapore. I only like some of their song and don't know them that well. As far as I know, they don't have an English song, but one of their song "Sephia" was resung by a Taiwanese male singer back in 2003.

I think you could get more information in sonymusic.com.id (but in Bahasa) and MTVasia.com (Indonesia pages).

I heard of them from a former schoolmate. She used to be really crazy about them. Didn't know much about them but I definitely heard of their song Sephia before (including the Mandarin cover by the Taiwanese). It's a good composition and suits people who have a liking to slow rock genre.

Well it's an Indonesian band actually..i like their songs..
The newest news from them is that they are singing as the oST 30 Hari Mencari Cinta (30 Days looking For love) an indonesian movie..and i've already heard their songs and its all great..

I agree.Sephia is really really good.In fact,Sephia was the one that made me know Sheila on 7.Well..i was tuning to the radio and this radion station which i tuned in played Sephia.The 1st time i heard the song i was like "Wow..this song is good."I didnt know which group sang it but i knew the group was from Indonesia (i just knew it,hehe).So..i made an effort to remember how the song sounds like and then the 1st thing i did when i stepped into class was to ask my Malay friend which Indonesian group sing Sephia and my friend told me it's Sheila on 7.That's how i get to know em'.Oh Sheila on 7 reminds me of M'sian indie band OAG.Both of them are cool! :excited:

hi im from the philippines. i heard about sheila on 7 from a local rock radio station...the station's ID is NU107...and i saw them on MTV indonesia (which is being carried by my cable provider)...
i like the beat of the song that i saw...the MV was pretty funny...they were driving a big truck...thats all that i can remember...the song was in bahasa though...so i'm really not sure what was the title

and ninyagrrl, i think it's errr "Jadikan Aku Pacarmu" a.k.a "Let me be your boyfriend" with Dian Sastro as the model, with her scenes making funny gestures, is it??? it's not a new song...but hmm quite cool that philipinos know them :happy:

So7, wuah :excited: i always like their songgg, so different, like they use many many styles but in one album , it all workss together..

their guitars part are really nice in alll their song, i prefer the rock songs of So7, but all are guud :-)

I love SO7 also among other indon groups such as dewa and peterpan. Started noticing them when i heard the song Sephia few yrs ago... nice... now my fave song by them is Berhenti Berharap, which is a superb powerful ballad. I've always liked all their songs. I find that their music arrangement is great and love the guitars. The song for the OST 30 hari mencari cinta is called Melompat Lebih Tinggi. Its a cool upbeat song and quite catchy too. The song Itu Aku from their album Pejantan Jangguh (2004)is also another one of my fave. Hehe....
