I bought my tickets today :D.. and they have posters up everywhere..

I got the $138 tickets :) A More Entertainment employee said he'll probably have a concert in Singapore and that it's one of his later stops?
He said that Jay's starting out in Taiwan, HK, USA, Taiwan again, and then Singapore, i think.

Thanks for the info, but yeah why always LA? It'd be nice if he came to the east. It's a bit frustrating to know Jay's going to hold a concert that's in the same country I'm in, but on the other side.

what company did jay use last time for his concerts? more entertainment doesn't even show up through a google search and the site is under construction. Also, i would think by 8/25 all the good tickets would be sold out. Galen seats 10,000...maybe if there is a lot of demand it would be moved to a bigger arena?

Or does 10,000 fans willing to go to concert sound about right for the U.S.?

I want to see him so bad, I don't even care about the price I just wanna see him. If I could go, I'd buy the $288 VIP ticket and I would order it right now but yet of course I'm 15 and I doubt my mom would let me take a bus all the way to L.A, man even if I could the tickets would probably be sold out. :dry::cry::depresse:

I'm so excited.. He's gonna have so many songs to sing from the albums: November's Chopin, Still Fantasy, and his upcoming one. =D

I didn't know about this until my sister gave me the postcard! I'm so excited! I really want the VIP seats ...And from the look of the seats, they look pretty darn close!!! I got to go and start learning all his songs all over again!

Don't worry about the tickets being sold out once the site is up, cuz the more entertainment person said that they're going to reserve seats exclusively for online ticket buyers.

I know!!! It's the same like this for Shanghai. His concert will be held here in end November.

I got my tickets last weekend and the envelope cover that came with the tickets was like some pic from his [Still Fantasy] album. I am so disappointed, wondering why didn't his agents take some effort to design a decent poster. Plus, I was really wondering if it was for real coz' Jay hasn't announced officially anything about having his world tour.

Nonetheless, I still bought the tickets. I bought the 2nd most expensive ticket which was equivalent to about USD160. And I am kinda far behind.

I hope I'll get to see him clearly from where I am ... :worry:

Hey cacky, your ticket is expensive to me and its 2nd most expensive. Hope his Singapore concert can remains as per previous. Really afraid that RAIN has spoilt the market in Singapore because his most expensive ticket is selling at SGD$888. Due to alot of complaints, the Organizer didn't sell the most expensive category to the public.

jes123, so far, I noticed, from the concerts that I've been attending in Shanghai is that it's always far more expensive than Singapore's. I do believe that there is an amount cap on how expensive the ticket prices can be in Singapore. Perhaps Rain's was an exception.

In Shanghai, tickets are generally around USD200 for the most expensive. Perhaps coz' the stadium in itself is already huge.

Oooooh, for once, a Jay concert that I may be able to attend! I'm gonna be in LA from Sep-Dec but I'm really uncertain about where I'll be and what I will be doing once Fall Quarter at uni ends... I don't wanna buy a ticket and end up in NY during that time.. ><

I hope news surfaces about an Australian destination cuz that'd be much easier. Plus I'm sure the best tickets won't cost AU$350!

I just bought my ticket! I still have to mail my cheque over first though. I got the side aisle as most of the VIP seats in the middle are blocked for sponsors and I really don't want to be sitting with a bunch of old pple who just sit and not move at all during the concert! Haha!

The guy who took my call was really funny. He asked if I was 18 and why I wasn't attending with my parents! I told him I was wayyyy over 18 and he was all shocked. I told him I sound like a kid over the phone so don't misunderstand. Hahahaha!

Hey Everyone!

I've bought my tickets! So excited! Yes, Jay is really coming to LA this Christmas 2007. I was surprised myself because things didn't really look too official but I did speak with More Entertainment and this is the real thing.

Oh, for those of you who don't live in the area, don't worry about the VIP tickets. More Entertainment told me that to be fair to all fans, overseas and in town, they have especially reserved VIP sections which will not go on sale until 08/25/07 when the website is up so there's definitely nothing to worry about. I even saw the seating chart and there's plenty of VIP seats for everyone. Hope everyone is happy because just thinking of Jay definitely puts a smile on my face.

Oh, forgot one thing. I asked what the difference was for the VIP tickets, it's just the seating chart arrangement. No backstage pass or anything. I was hoping it might come with a package but nope...just sitting closer to the stage and maybe get a glimpse of Jay....

It looks like not too many people know of this concert yet, so there's definitely a lot of seats in all sections open and should be enough for everyone. More Entertainment has definitely been kind in answering questions.

Yeah, I would have to say that the tickets are a bit pricey, but it is Jay Chou afterall. How I look at it is that he doesn't come to the US that much and I'm just glad US fans don't have to worry about attending Jay's concert with 40,000 other fans or more, like in Asia. :-)

whew, i just bought my tickets earlier today. i was gonna get the $288 ones and decided not to get them cuz they were floor level seats, and people will definitely be standing in front of you there. plus most of those vip seats are reserved for corporate sponsors, and it didnt seem like much fun to be standing with 50-60 something year olds during the concert. instead i got the $228 ones kinda on the side to the stage, 2nd row, aisle!!!

i just went and bought my ticket today with my friends at Alhambra and the MORE Entertainment people asked us to be part of the fan video where we said a message to Jay and it's gonna be up at the beginning of the concert.
we spent almost 2 hours coming up with things to say to him and it was the cheesiest crap.
they also said that the site more99.com won't be up until next week!
Wow, that's so cool! Did you record in Chinese or English? I can understand taking two hours to come up with something, I don't even know what I would say (but it would probably be cheesy too :D). Since they're playing it before the concert, Jay will definitely remember you!

you can't hand-pick your tickets online, but if you send them a check first, then they'll be able to help you find seats...this sucks butt. i'm thinking of getting the $138 tickets...talk about money drainage.

That is weird. I got mine through the phone. Perhaps at that time, the website wasn't up yet, that's why I could buy through the phone. I called and the guy said he will have to email me first and after I looked at the details, then call back to confirm my seat selection. That's how I got onto the mailing list. I think it existed since the last concert but I did not know about it then.

Ok, I think I am on the mailing list. I called to buy my ticket in August and the guy asked me if I had received an email from them and that's how I knew tickets for this concert were selling already. I said no and he said ok, give me your email so I can email you what we sent out to people and you can look at the seating plans etc. I was told to call him after I saw the email and so I did. Then I confirmed my ticket and all and since then, I got another email from them just informing that the website was up. I guess I am on the mailing list since then. Not 100% sure though. Sorry if I caused any confusion :shy:

The 1st email I got did say, thank you for attending Jay's LA concert in 2004.. we are happy to inform you that Jay is coming back for another concert... so on and so forth. And I was like.. hey.. I was there but I never knew about this! Haha!

I called More Entertainment and there is probably gonna be no ordering/buying from the phone. The only option right now is to go down to the office or mail the money in. But they recommend (for non-LA residents) waiting for the site to go back up and order online.

I'm still waiting for the site to go up so I can buy my ticket, if theres any left by then.

I wanted to buy the $288 tickets, but the only seats left for that section were at the very back, and quite frankly weren't worth since it's all on flat ground and not elevated. I ended up buying the 228 tickets and picked out where I wanted to sit. For those of you waiting to buy online, the girl told me that the 228 vip on the left side were all on hold for the online orders. But even the right side is still pretty open because I was able to get good seats. I wouldn't worry though because I looked at the seating chart and there's still a lot of good seats.

One more note, if you pay by credit card (cause asians love cash so they don't have to pay the fees to the credit companies) there's a 3% charge which is more than reasonable if you've ever bought tickets through ticketmaster, where the service charges sometimes add up to either the same or more than the actual ticket.

I have been reading this post for a while but haven't gotten a chance to post. It seems like most people has around the same question, I went into the More Entertainment office yesterday and asked them some general questions.

1. They said that they are current selling pre-sale tickets, or these vouchers, and we would have to go back to the office sometime mid-late october in order to exchange these voucher for real tickets.

2. They said that they prefer cash and cash, and they said that it's for the customers, since a 3% charge is added upon any credit card purchase.

3. About the website all they could say was that they are having some technical difficulties. But it's been like this for at least a week or two now. They told me that latest it should be functional next week.

4. I asked them how come no one knew about this concert, and it didn't seem real at first. The lady at the front told me that it's because they haven't started media advertising yet. RIght now they are only posting posters. When they know for sure that the website is working, and have the real tickets printed out, they'll start advertising on news paper, radio, and tv.

5. Lastly, I think most people wanted to know how many tickets are left. The manager told me that they are reserving half the ticket for online customers, however they have already sold out 1/3 of the total tickets... so I think we would have to buy the tickets fast. Hopefully online will work soon so everybody can start buying!!

ps. The people there are really nice, and they said that if we have any question we ca just call them at (626)457.8788, it's their alhambra office. And yes, they said that they also did Jay's concert back in 2004, so this is pretty legit.

From what I heard they have a computer picking system for online customers and it would be on a first come first serve basis. But that's kind of risky because some people might prefer center-back view vs. front-side view. So yea iono, I live close by so I just went to the office.

Right now, I am getting tickets myself. And for me, I am getting my relativse to get it in person. Because first off, yeah you can't chose your seats if you buy them online. Then again its harder to hope and -_- worry that the mail gets mishapped or something.

But right now, at the store my aunt watns to buy it from...they dont even have it yet. So other than the Alhambra one, has anyone bought it at another store that is sponsoring it yet?

I highly doubt it, since they said that they are the host and promoter for this event, and that they are only giving out vouchers right now. I don't think concerts usually sell voucher tickets at other stores, probably have to wait until the real tickets are out or so, my guess though.

I've been reading this thread for awhile now. I live on the east coast, but I absolutely <3 Jay so I'm going to see him in LA. I was waiting for the website to be up to purchase tickets myself, but they KEEP saying they're having technical difficulties and kept pushing back the release date. It's been almost a month now. I didn't want to take the chance of good seats selling out, and conveniently, my parents live in LA, so I asked them to buy me tickets. I didn't bother going for the $288, but as of last Wednesday, the best $228 floor seats you can get is in the 7th row which isn't worth it because those seats aren't elevated. And I think this was mentioned before, the entire $228 left section (facing stage) is reserved for online purchases so my parents couldn't touch those. I ended up getting the $228 on the right side, 3 blocks from the stage, 2nd row. This is just so you guys have an idea of what tickets are left. I was also told that the block of $228 seats closest to the stage may be blocked by screens...

Yes, it's true that they prefer you pay cash, otherwise they charge you taxes & fees if you pay with credit card. The tickets are also NON-REFUNDABLE. Kinda sketchy if you ask me, cash and non refundable, but these people sound legit so I'll buy.

My dad didn't mention anything about vouchers redeeming for real tickets. Can someone confirm this? Is this true? I was under the impression that he has the actual tickets in hand.

jenyi~ when i went there all i got was a voucher. they said you can come pick them up sometime in october, or you can pay $7 for them to mail it out to you when they get it. they said they'll also call when the tickets come in to let you know that you can go get it or that you should be getting it in the mail soon.

hey jayy0ung - i'm talking about the block of $228 seats on the side, closest to the stage, so you have nothing to worry about! :D i think center seats are fine. if you think about it, most concerts have big screens on both sides of the stage so people in the way back can still see. but i also heard this from the lady that was selling the tickets talking about the seating chart with my dad while he was on the phone with me.

I don't know if you guys know or not, but it looks like you can buy tickets online now. There's no (testing) label.

I wouldn't be so sad about not getting the 288 tickets. When I went the other week I was ready to buy the 288 seats but thought better of it because the only ones left were in the far back of the 288 section. I'm not gonna pay $60 more to be stuck in the back on flat ground straining my neck to see past all the people in front of me. If that's the case I'd rather have closer seats in the 228 section. And yes you do get a voucher instead of a ticket. It has the info on it like you name, address, seats, and so forth. If you're worried about paying cash, then use credit. Honestly the 3% charge is a steal. And tickets being "non-refundable" is standard in almost all cases when it comes to concerts. Just like ticketmaster won't refund your tickets if you decide you don't want them.

i think in an earlier post, someone said the difference between VIP and non VIP is just the seating. VIPs don't get special privileges like going backstage.

does anyone anything about an autograph session jay might have before his concert? someone had mentioned it to me very briefly, but i didn't get the details.. i knew he had one the last time he was in LA for a concert, but it was under really dumb circumstances.. like u had to have purchased a tag heuer watch or something rediculously overpriced at the jewelry store to get a glance at him.. I almost freaked out and thought they changed the date of the concert, but I'm going to assume that it's some sort of meet and greet perhaps w/an Omega purchase. So if anyone lives by there, and can read Chinese, maybe you could tell us what the sign actually says rather than my mediocre guess.

It's holiday season. Rates may be a little higher than usual. Your best bet is to use hotels.com or any of those other sites. Either that, or trust some of us who live close to there hahaha.

where you looking for something closer to the concert area or around the asian san gabriel/alhambra area?

in the san gabriel/alhambra/monterey park area:

cheap/ghetto: motel6, nice day inn, pasadena inn, budget inn ($60-100/night)
middle/decent: lincoln plaza (AAA discount), holiday inn, sheraton, double tree ($80-200/night)
more expensive/nice: hilton, marriot, ritz carlton, westin ($140-300/night)

u can also try travel sites like orbitz.com, expedia.com or travelocity.com..

I just transit in LA to go home or come back here and the one time I did go around a little was in 2004 when Jay had his 1st concert in LA. Hahah! I might go sightsee a bit and then go to the concert. But if I stay there, transport might be a bit of a problem? What is the area near the concert venue?

It's at USC, so you're basically in downtown L.A. or at least right by it. It's right next to some museums and the Colosseum. It's basically a pretty ghetto part of town. But if you went to the 2004 concert, then it should be familiar because the Shrine is pretty much across the street from the Galen Center.

I dun know that area at all as that year, my friend from college who lives there actually was home during winter break and he drove me there and picked me up after. This time he is staying put in Saint Louis. So I'm pretty much lost and on my own. Haha!

In that case it might not be such a good idea to stay over in San Gabriel, if you'll be by yourself that is and you don't have someone to drive you. Technically it's not far if you drive there, 10 maybe 15 min. I'm not sure how convienient the bus would be. I would just try to find a decent place by USC rather than somewhere farther.

there are 2 parking structures and it's usually $8 to park, but the rates might be different when there's an event going on..

iono if there's gonna be street parking.. i highly doubt that u will we able to find a spot in the downtown LA area. u have to be extremely lucky to find parking on the streets and even then i would worry about leaving my car there.. it is down town LA haha

there is that one pagoda ptel right in the heart of chinatown, but i heard it's haunted there.. haha

I am so disappointed, wondering why didn't his agents take some effort to design a decent poster. Nonetheless, I still bought the tickets. I bought the 2nd most expensive ticket which was equivalent to about USD160. And I am kinda far behind.

umm someone said on this thead that jay didnt make an official announcement on his world tour.. but i found on yesasia for his cowboy on the run album description and it says:

I really wouldn't suggest you walk from USC back to Koreatown even if it is close, especially by yourself and at night. There were some people earlier asking about hotels and where to stay. Maybe you can contact them and if you're staying nearby, you could at least walk back together and not by yourself. I know they have taxis downtown, but I don't know how easy they are to come by near the venue, afterall everbody drives here. Best would be to try and buddy up if you can. If not maybe someone you meet there can give you a ride back.

In addition, anyone else who is still a little uneasy about the whole legitimacy of the concert you can check jay chou's website and on it he is scheduled to have a concert in L.A. on 12/24. The site admin also lists the concert to be at the Galen Center, and more importantly for those of us who have forked over several hundred dollars already, the the ticket purveyor to be more99. Hope that puts some your minds at ease is case you were still worried that it was a scam.

Gosh, I hope we don't have to buy jewelery or anything else on the side to see Jay at the autograph session. When I asked about the autograph session, I was told it hasn't been confirmed yet. It will most likely be held on 12/20/07 or 12/21/2007 if there is one.

Acutally I'm glad he's having it at the Galen Center. It's practically brand spanking new since it only opened a year ago. At least the seating capacity is more than at the Shrine where he had it last time. I think the Hollywood Bowl would be too cold in December. Besides amphitheaters almost always have crappy seats unless they're right up front. I always feel the smaller the venue the better, because then my chances of a good seat are better. If anything I wish he was having the concert at Universal, or is it called Gibson now, amphitheater because you pretty much have a good view from any seat.

what is all this talk about not being able to bring cameras into the concert? seriously? i went to the East Coast 2004 concert and they didn't stop me from bringing in my camera. i took tons of pictures and even some video clips. i saw pictures of his LA concert in 2004 too on people's websites... which means they brought in their camera and took pictures with flash.

i mean, i don't see why we can't bring cameras in. it's not like the pictures we take will be professional quality enough to sell. what are they worried about?

Well I guess it depends on where you're from to determine what's cold. I'm from california, so even san diego feels chilly to me sometimes. We don't really know what "cold" is here, I mean 60 degrees is chilly to me. The concert is still a ways away, so I wouldn't worry about it too much especially since it's indoors, but I would bring a sweater or jacket. I don't think you'll need to bust out the winter coat or anything. But just for reference I think it's usually around the 40's-60's. Yes I know it's sad, we consider that cold, whereas people in places like Chicago are shoveling snow.

The autograph session is...interestingly enough...at a Jewelry store on in the San Gabriel Plaza (the one with 99 Ranch and Ten-Ren Tea Station) that's down the street from the More99 office. They told me he's signing on the 21st. The cross street is Valley and I think Del Mar, but either way it's the 99 Ranch Plaza in San Gabriel across the street from the Hilton.

Oh, by the way, that jewelry store where he's autographing is also selling some of the better tickets for the concert. They bought pretty much the whole section immediately to the right of the stage (they have a promotion where if you buy a watch or something they'll give you a complimentary ticket). Their only catch is that it's cash only. I got my tickets through more99, but there's another option for people in case tickets start selling out.

I saw that sign in front of the store about a month ago and figured it had to do w/a signing, but since I couldn't read most if it I didn't know the details. Just dl his new album and two of the songs on it have the music from secret in it. I think he'll do something with those songs. Well I could be wrong but it's just what I think.

I don't know what time they're open on weekends... but they're really friendly so just call them and ask :)

Funny cuz I'm kinda in the same boat. I bought three tickets and one of my friends might (I hope not) cancel on me too. But I'm sure the other is going with me. At first they didn't want to go and I told them come on it's JAY. He doesn't have concerts in the US that often. So got them to go.

i purchased my tickets in person on aug 8 and barely got them last week (288x2 & 98x4) so my guess is that it may take just a little bit longer for those who ordered online. they're extremely busy from what i see, however, im sure they'll mail those tickets out on time.

I ordered my tickets online and still waiting on them...has anyone heard about them? The delay is making me doubtful about whether more99 is real or not. I am getting very anxious since the concert is about a month away!

I called more99 to ask them about the tickets because i was getting anxious too :P They said that they are sending them out right now but they're a bit delayed because they have to look for everyones information one by one. He also mentioned something about emailing everyone the ups tracking code? well hopefully that makes you feel safer :) although i did not get any emails from them yet.. ):

Yay!! I got my tickets from walking in the office and showing them my voucher! Yay!! omg...the ticket says any audio recording equipment, video equipment, camera equipment are prohibited. If discovered, the equipment will be confiscated, and be returned after the performance. Noooo! I wanna take a lot of pictures of Jay! Nooo, I paid $288 and I can't take pictures. Boooo!!

I would think that yes, cellphones can be considered electronic equipment. After all, they run on batteries and use electron flow to power themselves.

omg its like so stupid if they dont let me bring my phone in, what if you need to call someone RIGHT after the concert. what if its an emergency. im not gonna let them confiscate my phone since they might lose or damage it.

on another note, i asked them when the autograph session was and they still were not too sure, only to say that it was gonna be somewhere around the 22nd (darn, the same day as wang leehom's concert)

I know many of you have said that the guys at more99.com are legit and nice, but they have got to put their act together better with the ticket situation. I bought the tickets online and confirmed with them at the time that I should receive the tickets by mid October. I can understand how busy they must be, but at least they should send an email letting us know the current status. To make matter worse (and us more worried), the website is no longer working, all the emails have bounced back, and nobody pick up the phone. It's a complete communications breakdown. I still have faith only based on what I read here. I already booked by non-refundable air tickets and hotel room, and feel kinda stranded. This has certainly put a blemish on an otherwise very exciting experience seeing Jay live.
Just a little venting and suggestion, for what it's worth.

I am in the same situation. It is extremely frustrating. I bought my tickets online in september and they keep telling me that they will mail them by the next week. But it never came! I'm having a hard time reaching them and last time when I finally did reach them..one of them gave me an attitude and hung up on me. What am I supposed to do? I'm thinking about asking for a refund..cuz I have this horrible feeling that it may not work out. I know you guys sad that they are legit but their website never seems to work right. The website looks unprofessional and the concert is about one month away and they say they are not done mailing tickets out?? It just seems really odd to me. I spent so much money already and I just hope everything works out.

im in the same situation also.. i try to contact them, but i can never reach them!! this is so frustrating.. i already booked my hotel rooms and everything and its all non-refundable.. now i'd rather go to the lee hom concert in san francisco, which by the way is an hour and a half away from me and his website looks more professional than jay's

just out of curiosity, who has already recieved their tickets?

btw, lee hom's concert was wayyy cheaper than jays =_=;

I went to their office today and picked up my tickets. I'm not sure what the situation is with them getting out the tickets to online orders. When I went to their office, the guy found my tickets really quickly, but they took forever to find the tickets for the guy behind me. I don't know if they're just unorganized and have some kind of filing issue, but while I was there the phones were constantly ringing off the hook and the two guys who were working the front desk looked like they were running around with their heads cut off. Also, a note to those with floor tickets, I'm not sure which section, but I think there may have been a slight change in the seating arrangement. Again, I don't know which section or how major the difference is, it may have been a very minor one, but while I was waiting there was an irate woman who found out her seats had been changed. Apparently, I heard while employing my eavesdropping skills, it was the fire marshall who said they had to change some of the seating.

Of all the chinese concerts I've been in Vegas, I actually brought a camera. I took a lot of videos and pictures and the securities didn't stop me from doing it. So, maybe we can still bring a camera. =)

haha i was the person who originally asked if ppl could tell us when they got their tickets...but i got mine :D i also ordered in september and i got them yesterday :)

so no worries, i'm sure they're getting them out :)
and they're taking no chances in delivering them...i'm not sure if this was true for everyone, but my ticket was in this HUGE envelope(it says flat rate mailing envelope) and also they put 'signature confirmation' on the package, so if they don't get a notice that it was signed for and delivered, then they know the ticket's lost or whatever. :)

gah. freaking omega watches....crazy ppl XD
