Welcome to Jay-chou.net's 4th Annual Karaoke Competion!

We have a total of 16 wonderful contestants. This time, we're doing the voting a little different than from in the past. There will be 2 polls held at the same time, with 8 contestants each. (This is the poll for the last 8 contestants.) Voters will vote for their favorite entries from each poll. At the end of the voting period, the winner of each poll will face off, and the winner of the final poll will be crowned Karaoke King/Queen!

Ground Rules:
1) You are allowed to vote for yourself, but only once. Absolutely NO signing up for multiple accounts to vote.
2) DO NOT ask anyone to come vote for you. You may ask them to come take a look at the voting thread, though.
3) In general, just don't cheat.

Without further ado, the entries can be found in the link below, listed in the order that they are listed in the polls:
http://www.soundclick.com/bands/pagemusic.cfm?bandID=716581

For soundclick, click on either lo-fi or hi-fi and the song will begin streaming. Downloading has been disabled.

One last thing, please do leave some comments for our wonderful contestants! I'm sure they would really appreciate some feedback! Thanks everyone!

Don't forget to vote for the entries in Group1! (http://www.jay-chou.net/forums/showthread.php?t=26814)

(For those of you that have extra time, take a listen to missTBA's recording! (http://www.sendspace.com/file/nety4v) It's not an entry and you can't vote for it since she didn't know she had to record a full song, but it's good, so I didn't want it to go to waste. Leave comments if you want!)

yay im the first here! maybe that isnt a good thing.... ><"

ok well , im currently listening through this group first cos i like the songs here more ^^ hahaha ok ill try not to be biased but its got some of my fave songs, but some really difficult songs too! this pool is gonna be hard...definitely, but i havent heard everyone yet.

ill have to listen to all the songs to be able to vote. ok off to listen more! i cant wait to get to gui ji! i hope alice does well!

edit : WOW!!! bonnie and ropgurl , you two are really good! you have both got the vocal range to perform the songs and bonnie, your song was really hard! sometimes you sound a bit strained, but that really can be excused when considering this song. i havnt heard it before this, but you gave me a really good idea of the song!

ropgurl, your song was well sang/sung??? if your voice was a bit higher pitched, which is none of your fault, it would have made thi song perfect. but you made this song really nice and pleasant to me (and i hadnt heard it before.) good work!

cat, i think your song lacked a bit of emotion, may also be due to your suffering mic ><" i think it would have been much much better if the quality was better. but you did really well...i began singing along halfway =P haha! but i think the main problem is not many ppl can be compared to alan's voice, it is so unique!

alice!!! thank you for singing my all time favourite song ! i began singing along near the end where it gets really emotional and sad! i think that is one 'lacking' with female voices singing a guy's song, just that sometimes they will miss out on the emotion carried through. but hey, really good job and congrats! timing, wording, pitch, was all neat. you didnt disappoint!

i don't know if this comment is allowed. if it's not feel free to delete!

thanks kirasuran for the feedback! I just listened to my own recording...and that's not my voice! in the original mp3 my voice is much higher. for some odd reason soundclick makes my voice sound much lower than it really is. i thought it was just my computer or something..but i guess not -_-||

^ sorry about that ropgurl, i've fixed it. it should sound fine now. the reason your voice came out sounding so low on soundclick is because you probably encoded your song in a different sample rate than 44.1kHz. anyway, i've re-encoded it, and it should be good now.

so, everyone, listen to ropgurl's entry again!

and thanks chris for the comments. =)

everyone did an awesome job, my comments are in the other thread. =)

ahhh i love so many entries ~!

and im most impressed with AkimotoMitsuki, bonnie, jess, and ropgurl's entries.

in the end im torn between the two, akimoto and bonnie, both were so good. akimoto was in tune throughout the song, and her voice was really pleasant to the ears and her high notes were real pretty. ahh and bonnie, i love her slight huskiness in her voice, plus how her voice itself is already an identity of herself. she made the song her own and i really like that. you listened to it and you know 'hey that's bonnie'.

(:

and really good effort everyone ~!
