My topic is ... has any particular song sung by Jay inspired you or moved you to make any big decisions in your life?

I'll share mine ... I remember that there was this point in my life where there was a 3rd party in my relationship. And I was hesitant as to whether I should have ended my relationship. And after listening to Jay's [安静]，it gave me the courage to face whatever that was happening instead of running away from reality and pretended that nothing happened. Somehow, listening to the song made me realize that love is generous. It need not be possession. I made the decision to give the relationship up.

Okay, I have given my share ... what's yours? It need not necessarily be relationship-related like mine, could be other areas of your life which you would like to share.

this 2 phrases make me wanna persevere on and keep my determination going strong.hah! amazing! basically the whole song inspires me to be try to overcome obstacles. love this song man! oh.. and it teaches to be modest. :)

I love the lyrics to this song. Just try your best to do things so you won't regret it later on in life. Doesn't have to necessarily deal with love like in the song but something along the same lines.

蜗牛 (Gua Niu). This song makes me so touched until i cried on 31st Dec 2003.
The song clearly states that the snail wants to climb up step by step in order achieve the dreams he wanted. The snail's determination in the song inspires me to buck up and it's time to do what i want to do in life in order to achieve my dreams like the snail do. I cried because i knew that i've been wasting my life doing nothing. :cry:

So people out there, if you thinks that you are not having enough determination to do something and needs a song to inspire you, i would recommend Jay's 蜗牛 (Gua Niu). Listen to the song with all your heart and look at the lyrics at the same time.

The lyrics are quite meaningful and the whole song is just to melodious!
The lyrics thought me that a fall doesn't mean failure, it means a kind of experience, never to give up in whatever i do..even if i lose once.

Fen Lie..!

A sad song but whenever i listen to it, i can cry, it really moves me, just like Gui ji too, and it makes me realise that one is bound to face many obstacles and challenges....we should brace up.

Long Juan Feng...!

It inspired me that love is like the tornado, which can come n go, but u have to cherish what you have.....n u have to accept that its reality.

I had download Shi Jie Mo Ri (End Of The World)...I know it's a song he composed for a group but he sang it at a concert right?

Well I was watching it. I wasn't into Jay at the time. I just completely froze. :oops:

I remember saying to myself. Is he an angel? :angel: Because I think my heart is beating again.

Because of him, my attempts to suicide has disappeared. I've threatened and tried to commit suicide. :sadangel:

But after that song I was in complete tears. My face of soaken with tears and it just kept falling. :cry:

The best part was I can't understand a thing he was singing. Because I'm vietnamese not mandarin so I can't understand the chinese. But it inspired me soo much that I KNEW or I THOUGHT I understood the song. And when I looked up the translation....

It was exactly how I imagined it.

He's a hero. I love him soo much. An idol that can't be replaced. :love:

But all his songs are as inspiring...but I can't forget the first song that made me cry...was Shi Jie Mo Ri :)

i think the song that inspired me most was "kai bu liao kou".. yeah... because.. *sigh* long story.. so i'll just make it short...

kai bu liao kou says about not telling the person u love about ur feelings then regretting it... [ni dui wo you duo zhong yao wo hou hui mei rang ni zhi dao, zhe xie wo dou zhuo de dao dan na ge ren yi jing bu shi wo...] "i regretted not telling you how important you are to me.." because of this.. i don't know how i got the courage but i just went to tell my crush that i like him.. :secret: arh... then the rest is history... :sadangel:

The song that most inspire me and was my very first song that I heard of Jay would be Tornado. I fell in love with it instantly and the meaning of the song was thus touching/poignant make me want to break down and cry. Akin to what the one said it’s truly hard letting go of someone you care about and that someone had such a big meaning in your life. The last thing on your mind is to forget about it and enjoy your life.

Cacky, I was also inspired by that song! Especially that part about him leaving silently because he loves her too much, and also where he's hoping for the other guy to be needing to love her more than him. It's about setting free the one you love. Even if you're hurt you must not make the situation worse if you really care for her/him. The song really gave me strength to overcome my last relationship.

Hi Cacky, I was also really impressed and inspired by that songs. That songs really teach me a lot about how to view things especially in terms of relationship and I guess sometimes we can't just force something that can't work anymore to work. Sometimes there are times when we must let go of things.

Hhahahah, that ... I am not too sure. But I guess Jay is someone who likes to move around, have a feel of what life is like before he gets inspired to write his songs and I truly believe that his songs come from life experiences of not just himself, but people around him, his close friends and all. But if you really think about it, a good bulk of the lyrics are by his good friend Vincent Fang.

Jay is usually more on the composing and arrangement of music.
