[SG Talk] Jay is coming to Singapore on 30th July for "Secret" movie promotions

Hello my dear Jay fans!

Finally he's gracing SG once again after two years! But then, it's for his first directorial debut, "Secret".

I've just heard about this news via 93.3fm that he's coming only for a day on 30th July, Monday and he will also be attending the preview of this movie. The details of the venue are not disclosed yet so we have to tune in to the radio or tv these few weeks.

The movie will be shown in cinemas from 8th August.
So should we girls start preparing to welcome him? :rolleyes:

Anyway, for the past autograph sessions I have been too, I've always made big boards, but then this time round I don't think I'll do this anymore. Why?

1. It. is. really. bulky. And holding on to the board, you can't wave your hands frantically or anything. So yeah.

2. If you're behind, the board will block other people and they will be screaming their heads off at you.

I guess small boards are okay though. Around the size of an A4 size paper. This is what I think...

I think if you arrive at around 2-3pm you should be able to get quite a good spot already. I wasn't with JCNet at that time (because I haven't joined the forums) so I went with a friend after work. Quite alot of the people there seem to be working adults too, most probably they came after work.

I missed the Initial D movie preview 2 years ago and I'm so sad, but now I finally have another chance to meet Jay but my mother don't let me go as I'm familiar with the place and nobody wants to accompany me. I have juz seen the trailer last night for the movie and man it was WORTH the $$. People out there you really need to go and see the movie, Jay has improved a lot and the kissing scene well --- I will leave it to your imagination....hee*hee*.

From my understaning after his arrival at the airport and after check-in into the hotel maybe 3-4pm there will be a press conference for the movie, the premiere will normally start @ 7.30 - 8pm as the movie will commence @ 9pm so that pple can go catch the transport home.

Regarding the tea dance @ St James Power Station all you have to do is to spend $100 dollars at The Cathay and redeemed a pair of tickets at the information counter. i just redeemed mine though it's not the tickets itself as they have yet to receive the ticket but according to the staff, i'll definitely be able to get the tickets.

There's actually advance booking of tickets for Secret at The Cathay Gramaphone and you can redeem tickets to the Tea dance too. For this, i'm not too sure how many tickets per redemption.

Actually I was around the area, and I saw the BIG poster outside cathay. I really had this BIG urge to like go in and buy 100SGD worth of things I'd probably not need to see Jay. Then I sorta cooled down, smsed petricia to ask her to talk me outta it. I mean, I work damn hard for the few bucks and I am not about to blow it on being in the same room with Jay. He can't see me, he won't even notice my presence. And it's a movie showing, so hell he won't be walking around, it'd be too dark to even know if he walked out halfway which a lot of big shots do. :dry: AND I probably can't concentrate on the movie (which is what this is about), given that he's in the room. I think most of us will be trying to see him. :wacko:

The school attire thingy is pretty ridiculous right? If we really have to wear school uniform, doesn't that means it's strictly for students only? So my friend and i are just gonna wear our JC class t-shirt. They can't possibly refuse entry anyway since we've got the passes!

i just went to amk hub today, and i saw this promotion. get a friend to sign up with NEBO as member with you and you'll each get the ticket for "secret" gala premier on 31st july. and just nice, my gf and i were there. so we signed up and we got the ticket! its quite worth it though. one of you will pay $29 the other one will pay $40 for the membership. ITS REALLY WORTH it. you get to enjoy the privelleges of the membership as well. eg. cheaper movie ticket in cathay, cheaper entrance fee for escape theme park, wild wild wet ,etc.

if you guys are interested, its at the highest level of amk hub, at the cathay cinema there. they guy told me there is still 50++ tickets left! so hurry paeople!

Only 50 tixs for the premier? I dont think so. I went for Cathay's premier of the Transformers, and it is similar. All the halls will be screening the show & handphones & cameras are not allowed. If you look closer at your tix, it is stated TBC. (to be confirmed)

Nonetheless, hope to see u guys there. Hehe. I also got the tixs to the tea dance. Bought $200 worth of adidas stuff. But not gng for the Tea Dance, as I need to work and not able to take leave. Want to give Liwei, but she got the tixs le. So near to my workplace aso. Haiz.

Dragonfly is quite a small place, and can accomodate to 900 paxs. Can quite see clearly if you sit in front of the stage.

By the way, the preview tickets nebo are giving out is on the 31st August. Which means, it isn't the one which Jay will attend.

My ticket has a (TBA), which means the rating is to be advised. Don't think this has anything got to do with the preview though.

The Cathay is only giving out 50 pairs, I am sure of that. As for other sources idk. But fact remains that Jay can only be in a cinema at a time :)

Regarding the premiere movie, i don't think Jay will stay throughout the entire movie. As i have been to one movie premiere whereby Vanness Wu was there, he only stayed for a while and talk at the beginning before the movie starts and left. So don't really have high hopes about watching the movie together with Jay.

And indeed, The Cathay is only giving out 50 premiere tickets for the movie but i think there are other organisations like Gramaphone is giving out movie premiere tickets. meaning there won't be only 100 people in the theatre watching the premiere of the movie.

I called The Cathay just now (6736 0606)... they say there're 206 seats, and all who buy this Gala set (at S$50/tix) will be able to redeem the music box (so no first come first served thingy, *yay*!)

However, we'll be sitting in a different theatre from the "invites only"... so we probably won't be able to hear speeches (if any...)

Also, movie is starting around 8.30pm, Jay will appear around 7pm... (the guy ain't sure about piano performances...) but given the long time in between, I think there should be something going on.. *hmm*...:rolleyes:

Red Carpet is just a long carpet which Jay and the female lead will be walking on with fans on the side screaming for their attention and to shake hand and all. As for gala premiere, it means that you will get to be the first to watch the show in singapore. Jay might go into the theatre to say a few words and maybe watch with the crowd the movie for a short while.

Please note, I have been inform by a fren who is helping out at the event, dress code school uniform doesn't necessary have to be a school uniform. Just be creative, you dress all black, all white, black and white it's up to you. I wll be wearing black pants, white top and a vest over.

hi peepz... I just checked with T-shirt printing... I think let's just say maximum 20 T-shirts to be printed (due to time constraints...)
Budget should be maximum around $25 per person...

I'm thinking...
- polo T-shirt, so we can wear it to the tea party? (that is.. if the design is like school emblem...)
- black colour polo, so it won't get dirty... (oh, or we can have ratio of 7 white, 5 black, so we can pretend to be piano keys.. hahaha...)
