The Members Showcase forums, in an attempt to revamp and make them super duper and a lot better, have been closed to viewing by people who are not logged in, newbie!, Banned Users groups. Registered Users can only view threads, but not post, and only Registered Users + and above can post.

These forums contain a lot of wonderful creative works by our members, and with the craziness with copyright and plagarism on the internet these days, we'd like them to feel comfortable posting in these forums.

These are the forums that will be affected:

Art Studio
Music Lounge
Reading Room

Any questions, comments, complaints can be directed here in this thread or PMed to one of the admins.

Thanks!

(PS, on a side note, if you're interested in reading / writing online fiction / fanfiction and want to get involved with a great group of people in recommending stories you find and enjoy online, come join us in the Recommendations Team: http://www.jay-chou.net/forums/showthread.php?t=26217 We are also looking for members to become involved in making the Music Lounge and Art Studio more active, if you have any questions or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact me)

As an addendum to this, we've closed off the majority of JCNet to registered users only. The only public forums you can view without logging in or registering are the "Site Related Forums" and "All About Jay" forums.

There's just too much personal/sensitive info in the social and international forums. And creative/intellectual works in the translations and showcase forums. We just didn't feel comfortable allowing just any random passerby to access all of this.

I think this is a great idea because I deleted some of my own contributions in the reading room before because of plagiarism.

However,I decided to repost them because the posts also show the time & date which helps in determining who own's the original work.
