Does anyone here like Fly to the Sky? A korean band....although I don't know what they're singing, but the melody is good.
I recommend Sea of Love....not the newest song.......but pretty good!!

yeah, i've heard of them. the only song i know is "sea of love", and i agree, it is good! my sis had it on her mp3 player while i wuz listening, and i liked it. i've been too lazy to dl any songs tho, cuz i dunno which ones are worth listening. ne1 care to recommend some songs?

i love fly to the sky! i used to be really into kpop but after i heard jay i returned back to my chinese roots. fly to the sky is really good and they're awesome when they sing live. i really like these songs by them:
day by day, confession, i want, fly to the sky, and condition of my heart. their first album is really good!

Another one of my favorites of Fly to the Sky is "the condition of my heart"
That one is so good!! Sounds very romantic.....though I don't understand Korean.......but it's good. I highly recommend it aside from Sea of Love :)

err... f2ts did their goodbye just a little while ago. they're working on their 4th album right now... probably be out during the summer. just can't pull an album outta the air.

koreans spend almost a year to promote their album. so even though "sea of love" (3rd jib) came out during the summer... they didn't leave and do their goodbye until just a little while ago. you'll have to wait for almost a year (on avg. it's a year but really its indefinite) for their 4th album... every gasoo in korea is like this... you have to wait!

and f2ts is no way like shinhwa. f2ts are known as a "hiphop r&b duo". tho i don't consider them very hiphoppish.

and shinhwa is definitely pop.

woohoo fly to the sky! i got hooked when i first saw their video "fly to the sky". my friend was obsessed w/ fanny, one of the leads. i usually like both their slow and fast songs, but "sea of love" doesnt appeal to me that much.

where did you see the video? is it available for download to see? just wondering, cuz i never seen it before. Acutally, I like Sea Of Love alot!!! :D :D

i dunno. it's just their way. it's fun though. cuz for almost a year you get to see them on all these shows and stuff. also, in the korean music industry, no one releases actual singles. it's all albums. but when they start performing a different song.. then people just say that their "new" song is blah blah blah..some track off their album.

^^ i love f2ts oppadeul equally! first it was hwannie... but by 2nd jib i started to like brian also.. so now i like both the same. :love:

I dont really like FTTS. I dont know why everyone loves them. I got their 2nd CD and totally hated it.

But I really like their voices in the SMTown songs like Hello Summer and Summer Vacation. Maybe it's just their songs..

yes. hello summer MV was really cool. was it filmed in the phillipines? everything was so blue and azure... so nice.
but i was pretty disturbed with hwanhee's clothes.hehe. he seems kinda chunky don't u think?!

i think i read that either this song was written by Brian McKnight and given to FTTS as a gift.. or they bought the rights to sing it from brian Mcknight. not very sure. :?
but Justin Guarini sang another version of Condition of My heart in English..

this is such a nice song. i love how their voices blended together..

yeh, i checked it out on yes asia too, and it is real cheap!! but then the posting fee is soooooo expensive, but its onli worth it if you purchase over 40us dollars of stuff there coz then they send it to you free. i didn't wanna or need to buy that much stuff so i'm still waiting for it....*sigh*

I used to be in love with Brian..but then I realized I liked him so much most likely because he's so hot and I'd have a chance to communicate with him if I ever met him...Hwanhee is good looking too and I love his voice, it's so deep and especially when he sings Condition of My Heart, he shows so much feeling when he sings..but somehow, I'm not crazy about him ::shrugs:: Brian seems more silly/down to earth to me..but I recently realized that I didn't like his voice all that much. Especially in "Missing You"...I like the song itself, but Hwanhee sounds better in it. I still like Brian, I just want to hear better songs that fit his voice..I kinda feel bad for saying this, but it's really what I think. I haven't heard their album yet..but when I do hear it, I hope it's not too disappointing and there's a song that shows off Brian's talent better. My favorite part in "Missing You" is where Brian sings "da shin bol su obso do"..but yeah, besides that, I don't really like his parts in the song >.<

I just found Brian's latest post on Fly High, which is a forum that his best friend from the states set up in order for it to be easier for Brian to communicate with his fans. It IS legit..Brian has confimed numerous times that it is indeed him posting there.

gouwd!! i used to have this really mean classmate who thinks he's the "know-it-all" and he'd call everyone gay even if you're aren't really one. he just wants to call everyone else gay before they call him one. loser. :dry: anyways, i was listening to fly to the sky's music on my classmate (a good friend)'s cd player and then when that pea brain suddenly overheard our conversation on fly to the sky, he said out loud "oh man..fly to the sky? they're gay, man!" how can he say that about them!? he's a guy for beegeezez sake! a guy's view is different from a girl's! we never asked for his opinion so buzz off! :rasp:

anyway, on to the real topic. fly to the sky was pretty jazzy when they sang "confession" and "sea of love". such relaxing and soothing r&b tunes. me likes. :angel:

i think many people really think they're gay..especially after the missing you mv...a lot of people thought that they were missing each other because of the "moment" towards the end of the song. (i'm sure those people who've seen it knows what i'm talking about :D ) but they explained that already in pops in seoul interview saying that they're both only acting a role, one was going thru life happy even if he's missing that somebody and the other one was gloomy.

anyway, enough about the gayness talk. does anyone know when their 5th album will come out? earlier this year it was rumored to be released on august, then it was postponed to september and it's october now and there's still no sign of them..

edit: i've just found out from masterbib forum that the release date of the 5th album is november 8, 2004. so fellow ftts fans, mark your calendars now!

ftts... my old roomate was obsessed with them. everyday i would sit in my room doing homework and listen to sea of love on repeat. lol. now that i`m working with her for calcbased and we have group presentations and our teacher told us to name our group, i`m a part of a group entitled, fttsjc. where ftts is fly to the sky (her fav.) and jc is jaychou (mine ofcourse) lol.

I actually was quite disappointed in their 5th album. A lot of their songs sounded the same, and nothing stood out. Plus is it just me..or is their dressing getting more and more metrosexual? :glug:

I still love them, I just can't wait until they leave SM and find better song writers. I think that they've improved tremendously in their singing on the 5th album (Fany knows how to actually control his voice now), I just think they have crappy songwriters.

I did like the 5th, but i agree that some songs sounded the same. Well, the songs that stood out for me were "Stay", "Gravity" and "Good-bye" .

They definitely should leave SM town! I wish they'd join YG, lol
and yeah, Fany did learn to control his voice. Before he was so oversinging Brian, but now they sound really nice together. I love Fany's voice :love:

Yeah, I agree, Fany's voice is amazing. Btw, I remember hearing something awhile ago about Fany, Wheesung, and Park Hyo Shin (not sure about the last guy..) making a trio just like Kangta, Hyesung, and Jihoon made up Group S. It would just be temporary, and all 3 have some of the most amazing, distinctive voices in the k-pop industry. I would love to see them collaborate, but I haven't heard of any developments lately..:cry:

LOL, Patya, it's ok, it's a fairly new term. It means that it's like...between genders. So they're basically dressing really nice but practically to the point of, "Ew, that's really gay-looking." :laughing:

Jessica, hehe yeah I'm here! I seem to overlook threads quite often :whistle: Yes, I did hear the 5th album and I'm gathering songs from the earlier albums as well. :-) No love for Brian at all! I'm so tempted to like him just so someone will cheer for him :D I do agree that Fanny is hotter though, but I'm not too fond of his long hair. He looked amazing in the FTTS/Tim performance!
I did listen to Bi and I like some of his songs, but somehow I didn't get crazy over him as I did with the YGers, Shinhwa, FTTS, and Tim. I'd say I've got my hands full for now lol.

BTW... do you have song of Brian singing English? I wanna hear how good his English is! :bounce:

hm, it's hard to recommend smth in particular. Right now i'm all over their 5th album, so i guess you could listen to that.
As for old songs, well, their 3rd and 4th album were great!

the first time i noticed FTTS was from Music Bank...it was 2 years ago i think...they still had short hair...they were performing Missing You and another song i don't remember...so that's how i know a little about them...and after listening to the 5th album, i became more interested...these guys have really good voices that can capture ppl's attention...and they sing r&b, which i love...just no going back now...can't believe they're only 23 (24 in korea?)...i thought they were in the mid 20's because of the way they dress.

In the first one, first of all, like always, they chose a girl and gave her flowers. and Brian was sooooooo funny! He made his way to Gollum (hyeryon or whatever her real name is) and was about to give her the flowers, but then he just kicked her away and gave them to another girl :lolabove:
and then he sang "You are so beautiful to me" to that girl!!! :love:
Hwanhee gave flowers to Gollum and sang "Beauty and the Beast" to her, lol
I loved this Heroine5 also because Tony An was in it, i love him so! :-)

then there was a "Let Me Dance" part, they all danced! Brian and Hwanhee were the best!!! :love: they both dance amazingly! and Brian was so open in this show, he was laughing all the time, making fun of others. Fany was quieter, but still hot!!! <3
they played H.O.T's song "Candy" and Brian seemed to know the dance better than Tony himself, lol (for those who don't know, Tony was a member of a legendary korean group H.O.T )

the Goodbye mv is coming out soon?! :excited: ...that's the one where Brian cried right? can't wait to see.

Ok, maybe I'm prejudging. I've only seen one eppisode of love letter afterall, so I'm basing all my judgements on that. He was a bit.. mean.. TO FANY! Ok, it was also really funny and maybe he meant it as a joke but he just looked so serious! Fly To The Sky Breakup?

R&B Duo Fly To The Sky is surrounded in a breakup scandal.

They debuted in 1996 and released 5 albums. The rumor of a breakup came out last year and the fans are wondering about this issue.

Last year in November, FTTS released their 5th album 'Gravity" and returned to their fans. Last year in December their contract with SM Entertainment ended.

The possibility of renewing their contact w/ SM has not been decided as well as signing with another company.

Since Brian has a U.S Citizenship, it will be hard for him to perform in Korea. FTTS's contract with SM has already ended and there is no news whether they will be going solo or not.

SM Entertainment said "Nothing has been decided with FTTS's contract yet."

FTTS's contract has ended but since the contract goes up to their 5th album, they are allowed to finish their activities for their recent album. Right now they are concentrating on their activities for the album.

If there is a possibility of renewing FTTS's contract, they want us to wait until they officially announce it.

Last month at their fanmeeting on the 29th, Hwanhee and Brian said "We really don't know much about our contract issues. But we think it will be hard for us to release our 6th album this year.

After the fanmeeting, fans reactions were "We don't want FTTS to breakup. We want a good company who can give strong support to FTTS so they can continue their singing career."

FTTS has gained lots of popularity throughout the 7 years since their debut.

SM Entertainment says "The rumor of the breakup is different from the truth. Its a rumor that is spreading because FTTS's contract has ended and there was no official news about their contract renewal."

FTTS has finished their 5th album activities in Febuary and is officially going stop their activities with the game shows and their solo activities.

i was just flipping through channels and then i saw FttS performing Gravity! i didn't think that they will perform RHW afterwards, so i wasn't prepared to record it (and i was having a bad reception on that channel too :dry:). i frantically searched for a tape and inserted it in my vcr, but i missed a few seconds of the beginning ><... the worst part is that i erased a small portion of Bi's good bye special performance!!! *dies a million times* :cry: :sadangel:

This place sux and we're getting the same TVB package as the US ppl, but They changed one of the channels to TVBS 56.........which means I don't get to hear anymore korean or japanese songs or programs >.<. I was gonna upload some stuffs too if I get to record them, but......now..........nothing worth recording on TV which means I wasted a good $100USD on this stupid-good-for-nothing TV recorder and I hate watching TV using my computer. I wish I had that channel u have even if it's not that good. :(

I see them everyday until recently this stupid cable changed one of the channels where I get my only chance to see k-pop or j-pop MVs and sshows (on sundays or maybe if i'm lucky on weekdays)....changed to this stupid TVBS channel :cry: .....and the programs where I record all my Jay clips are gone.........(oh brother........how great could this cable company get). Jess, Goodbye MV......I will download it! I'm sure I will find hte blue eyes even if it takes hours and hours.
Oh yeah TVB package comes wiht this variety programs channel and in this program AIUEO I get to watch some j-pop videos and new CDs and sometimes I get to see k-pop videos if I'm lucky (that's the program that introduce me to FTTS.....when I saw Gravity Mv and their making of it I am amaze they have such powerful and nice voices together). Sometimes in Mandarin Music on Demand I get to watch this program which shows some Korean and Japanese videos on specific days and of course I get to see Jay most of the time or almost everyday ^^. Also I used to have this TVBS GTV and it shows a lot of J-pop and k-pop stuffs, but it's gone for months already. :cry:

I dunno if u would wanna read this cause it's kinda long, BUT I dunno........I read this a long time ago and had it save from a DBSK site cause this is when I really start to hate SM and I hate it more and more each day. Thank goodness Shinhwa is out of SM. I wonder when the others will get out of SM. :cry:

Hi~ I'm a current member of clubH.O.T,
and am a fan of the now broken up group, H.O.T. ^^

These days the group DBSK have been performing a lot
and have caught my attention.
Not only that, I heard that one of the DBSK members was a
very big male fan of H.O.T., and thats how I first started to
learn more about DBSK

As I watch the way they act and their performance,
I couldn't help but to think that they are very simliar
to H.O.T when they first started

H.O.T is seriously the god's to our generation,
so for people that were born around 82, 83, etc.
No one probably understand what they meant to us...

After Seotaiji and boys broke up, H.O.T. saved the
kpop music scene that was completely dying out.

All the teenagers were pulled into H.O.T.,
and within a year of their debut they received the top music award.
Out of all the major awards that H.O.T received, there must be awards
from at least 10 different music/television companies

When I see DBSK right now, the past H.O.T. fills my mind.
I was a freshman in high school when H.O.T. first debuted.
Now I am 22, and even today, when I go to performances or
concerts, I am looked as a young girl ^^

I heard that the majority of DBSK fans are junior high students,
and although many people say that they are young fans,
we were exactly like that too.

Whenever people saw us they called us H.O.T fanatics.
But then what about now? Even after 8-9 years
we are still here watching over them.

We hope that all the DBSK fans follow in our footsteps ^^

Liking H.O.T. for about 9 years,
I would like to give a little heads up and warnings about the company SM

I am someone that had a voice within the H.O.T fan club.

So I know a little more about the company SM, than most fans or normal people

At this moment, many H.O.T. fans have ventured out ^^
There are some that have become stars, others that became famous peoples' coordis,
and even some that have been hired into SM

Through these people we have learned that,
what we believed to be unfair treatment by SM, in reality, was very much true

SM claimed that the 2nd H.O.T. was blackbeat, but after their failure
they tried once again, and that group is DBSK

Silently leading the group with wit and talent, YoungWoong JaeJoong.
He is like MoonHeeJun.

Leader in dance, with the aura of a tough guy, but sometimes very cute, UKnowYunHo.
He is like JangWooHyuk.

Lived in the states, and able to speak English, very charismatic and outgoing, MickyYooChun.
He is like Tony.

With looks that can be looked as almost femine, and the image where you want to take care of him, ChoiKangChangMin.

He is like Kangta.

Looks that can be looked as average, but the type of person that the more you see the more you like, XiahJunSu.
He is like LeeJaeWon.

Two group that really have a lot in common, DBSK and H.O.T.
Maybe that's why, but we H.O.T. fans are genuinely scared that
the DBSK fans will have to face the hurt and dissapointing ordeals we had to go through.
Especially because all of you are so young.

SM is honestly a dangerous place.
As you like DBSK more I am sure that your hatred for SM will only grow

The first time H.O.T. began to get battered by LeeSooMan was during the beginning of their 3rd album
I'm not sure if you heard their 2nd album song, "Heng Bok"
That is the song H.O.T. received the DaeSang award,
and the album after that for every little mistake, they were hurt.

At that time, I believed that no matter what, it was merely just rumors
Slowly, everything I believed were rumors, were slowly turning into realities

By any chance do you know of Andy of ShinHwa's incident?
For awhile he was on stage wearing a mask wasnt he?
SM said some unbelievable stuff saying that he ran into something
or that JunJin fell while taking a shower.

Everyone continously told us different thigns.
The important factor is that they ran into something or fell,
but why was only his mouth hurt? How come there were no signs of anything near their forehead or nose or any other facial part?

A few days before, Andy went into the SM building, and when he came out
he was wearing a mask, which many fans noticed.
Honestly, at that time I didn't believe it.

After JTL left SM, even after they released their album,
they weren't able to properly perform for a good 2 years.

Their schedules continously got mysteriously cancelled,
and on cable t.v. their music video was not even showed ONCE.

That wast the famous SM-JTL boycott.
Boycott...

SM went to every television company and threatened that
in the case they brought JTL onto their broadcasting list, SM would pull out all their singers from that company

Many fans called JTL's company "YeJun Media" and asked what was happening,
but even from there they did not know.

This is a famous event,
It was when MoonHeeJun's 2nd album was supposed to come out
Fans were sleeping in front of HeeJun's house,
when HeeJun's mother came out and began to cry like no tomorrow.

She was begging to the fans to save HeeJun...
"Please save my HeeJun..."

HeeJun's first album sold 600,000 copies.
But SM said, "Merely 600,000?!"

They said they didn't want to invest in his 2nd album.
So for HeeJun's 2nd album, his music video, and jacket pictures...
he poured out his own money and savings.

Everyone.
Buy their album. That is helping DBSk.

Whenever H.O.T albums came out, we fans bought AT LEAST 2 copies.
That's the only reason whenever a new album came out they were able to surpass 1 million album sales.

And for that fact only...
thats the only reason the members were able to collect a little bit of money.

H.O.T. boys...
for every album they received approximiately 2 cents.

After Boa released her first alubm,
she received 50 cents per album.

For five people if it's 2 cent, that means its not even a quarter cent per person.

Then you might ask...

"What about the commercials and photo albums, and all the other side things H.O.T did?"

To keep it simple,
the only money H.O.T members make is through album sales.

Any commercials, and any shows, anything,
all that money goes to SM.
So its basically an unjust contract, a slave contract.

We heard that the contract between DBSK and SM is immense,
but thats not always a good thing.

When one leaves SM you must pay a fee that is much higher htan the contract,
and basically its to stop singers from leaving
Not only that they will take out a percentage of one's profits if one leaves.

Do you think the term "slave contract" came out of nowhere??
DBSK right now...they are probably having a really hard time.

Do you all know this?
The president of SM isn't LeeSooMan but, KimKyungWook.

To put it in lamen terms...

Although on paper KimKyungWook is the president,
the person that makes all the decisions is LeeSooMan.
The reason,

SM has done a lot of illegal things.
And if those acts are caught, someone needs to be blamed.

So LeeSooMan screws up,
and KimKyungWook takes the blame.

If you look at it KimKyungWoo is a slave too. An SM slave.

H.O.T.'s old manager is currently working for a very famous company.

That person once said that H.O.T. are kids he truely feels sorry for,
and so they were kids that he wanted to save.

That person tried to take H.O.T. out of SM, but got caught by LeeSooMan
and was immediately fired. Right now he is working at SIDUS and is producing the group G.O.D.

That is the reason LeeSooMan hates G.O.D. so much.
So much to the point that any radio show SM singers host,
he makes it clear he doesnt want to hear them putting on G.O.D. songs.

Even though slave contract, unjust contracts are against the law,
LeeSooMan is living quite fine.

He is truely a rich man. Someone with so much money it is unbelievable.
Although he waste a lot of money, he always has more.

We raised SM
and then we were stepped on by SM and died.

All the money that came in from H.O.T was invested into BoA
and all the money they invested in BoA is being currently reearned.

But now H.O.T memebers have encountered so many scars,
and they are slowly being forgotten by people.

Along with Club H.O.T who set records as a fan club.

We all are being forogtten by people.

All of you will get older with DBSK.
We were the same.

We used to say that "we're aging together,"
and these days those words sound so sad

As time goes feelings will be stronger,
and we sincerely hope that DBSK doesn't endure the same scars from SM, as H.O.T. had.
Don't take the same hurt as we did.
Within DBSK, create an awesome fan culture.

With every childless statement, the fan image is slowly ruined.

Become fans that think about what you say,
when announcing you are their fans.

Don't ever be faltered by any rumors, and always trust the member.
Singers will never betray their fans.

Please don't do things that they dont like.
You shouldn't ever make your favorite singer feel disappointedi n you.

If you are going to believe this and that, or just move on to someone else,
then don't like them from the start.
It will only be scars upon that singer/group.

As you grow older, even if you find a boyfriend
don't ever forget that you are DBSK fans.

At first it may just be a fantasy for you
but as time passes and as you grow older
you will realize that they mean a lot more to you than you know

In your heart, you will never forget your younger days
when you were their fans...

hahaha thanks pao for that ideal girl thing. i read that a couple weeks ago and i have already concluded that i am NEITHER of their ideal girl. the only thing that brian would like about me is me being a student, conservative, loves going online, loves music, loves family, and has high metabolism lol. and fany haha!! i like to hold hands, and i'm younger. yeah i'd say i don't fit either of them but that's ok because neither of them are my hubbies... just my bf :wink2: (taebin, timmy, and sungie will keep me company for now :brows:)
