this is just the saddest songs you've ever heard...cuz i love sad songs and i'm just looking for recommendations...i'll try and post a sad song here each day that i recommend you guys to listen to :realsad:

surprise! i used my first smilie!!! after 200+ posts my first smilie!!!

anyway...here's my first recommendation...i've never felt like crying listening to any song...this is probably the first exception...i didn't actually cry but it was close :realsad:

one of the sad songs i had listen to lately is Because I m a Girl from KISS, a korea group i think. first heard it on radio some time back n the DJ was commenting on the plot of the MTV. Since i find the song to be quite nice, i went on to look for its mtv and dl it. u can really be touched by the song after complementing it wif the mtv. Although it was in korean and i dun understd korean but watching the mtv alone is alreadi very sad and touching.

The saddest song I've heard is a Korean song called Reason by Young Jung Il. It's the theme song to the Korean drama Autumn in My Heart.
It maybe the effect of the show rubbing off the song cos although I dun understand what the song is about, it just sounds SO SAD to me... the melody, the way the singer sings it... everytime I hear it, it makes my heart weep.
I find Jay's Shi Jie Mo Ri and Hei Se You Mo particularly sad too...

the saddest song i've ever heard and is always sure to make me cry is 'he's gone' by suede.. it's from their 4th album, and the music's really sad and haunting, and brett anderson's voice just sounds absolutely heartbreaking...

I think Elva Hsiao's "I Love You So Much" sounds sad.. not sure what the lyrics say though. Will go check it out.

hmmn... there are a lot of sad songs but off the top of my head, i think SHE's ai ne is pretty sad. it's about this girl(prob) singing bout where the love btw her n her bf has gone..quite sad. if i have the time i'll type it out, k? :)
for jay's songs.. hmmn...a lot of his sings are pretty melancholy...like an jing, kai bu liao kou, ban dao tie he, zui hou de zhan yi...so can't make up my mind which is the saddest.. i guess it dpds on wat mood u're in when u hear the song..
hmmn..'sometimes love ain't enough' by patty smyth n don henley is pretty sad too.

hey, i live in melbourne too and i heard about the shooting... i study at melb uni though, but it still shocked everyone.. we talked about it in class, one girl even cried.. it was horrible, wasn't it..

Yeah, Forever Love is also another classic, the best performance put up by X-Japan of this song should be their last performance at the Kouhaku a few years ago...before hide passed away.... :(

have to agree with Jay is a Shy Boi there, Kangta's Polaris is a really sad but bee-yootiful song. Also dittos with Yukiko. H.O.T.'s A Song for Lady is so incredibly depressing for me. I cried the first time I saw the MV. I've watched the drama series that go along with the song and the series itself (endless Love or Autumn in My Heart) is quite touching.

There are many, many sad songs that I love. One of my favorite sad songs of all time is "A Time For Us", which was used for the old movie of Romeo and Juliet. I'm not sure who sings it, but I like playing the piano version of this song...

i don't know if this has been posted before, but i think penny dai's "1999" is incredibly sad. i'm usually not someone who's crying alot, esp. not while hearing songs or watching movies, but this one was too much for me. :(

another one is song by a german band. the band's name is vivid and the song is called "ballad 55". i don't know why, but i'm always feeling somewhat depressed when hearing this song. :sniffs:

I agreed with June, Broken Vow is like so sad. Just look at the lyric, it breaks my heart. I broke into tears when I saw Meteor Graden II while they have this song in the background. Not only the scene was so sad, but the song and the melody really torn my heart.:( :(

One other song is F4 ZaiZai's Wei Ni Zhe Zou. I don't have the lyric now, maybe I posted it later. It's about a guy who liked someone, but the girl like someone else and left him. But this guy said that he would keep waiting for the girl. It's so self-sacrificial. Just like Jay's An Jing. :(

Penny's "Jie jiao de zhu fu" (Blessings at a street corner) is sad, esp when u listen to it at sad times.

here's this korean song by Wheesung called "Ahn dae na yo" (isn't it possible?)...the lyrics are sad enuff, and he makes it even more woeful coz he sings it with so much emotion. u can almost feel him bleeding in his heart. :(

The saddest song i've heard is David Tao's shou zou jiu zou(say leave then leave) i get teary eyed everytime
but the saddest mv i've seen is by the korean music group Kiss...too bad i don't remember the name, i think it's called woman...not sure. but basically the man gives up his eyesight for the woman he loves...so touching i had to use a whole box of tissue....not to mention kinda embarassing when my mom walked in on me tissues all over the place, eyes all puffy, and cradeling the tissue box.

Mine is a song by Eric Clapton, "tears in heaven". I've heard that he wrote this song after his baby boy die by accident.(the poor baby fall from a balcony of his condo.) Well, it's question me that what if I die, do I still remember my family or my beloved? I didn't cry! It wasn't even that sad. (and I think I cry easily when watching dramas/movies/tv :bleh:) I suppose because it was just SO unrealistic... I mean, eyeball transfer?! Wth. Not saying that it's a crappy MV though. It just didn't move me much like it does everyone else.

The saddest song 4 me is by "VITIAM C" ~"GRADUATION (FRIENDS 4EVER), cause I mean it's a song bout moving on after graduation. It's hard 4 me to let go of things even something so small n pathetic like a pencil, I know I'm weird!!! O.K. but losing a best friend that u really care bout is different!! yes i thought the MV for KISS bcos i'm a girl was a bit unrealistic. but it was still sad.. just listening to the song itself, i didn't feel sad.. but gotta watch the MV first..

hmmm... i think it'd be really hard to narrow one song to be the saddest song. but the lyrics to westlife and mariah carey's "against all odds" are quite moving. i think it's a pretty sad song, especially the pictures that surface in your mind as you imagine the exchange that occurs in the song.

and i also think that kiss "because i'm a girl" song is pretty sad. loved the MV for that song!

Other than Candle in the Wind by Elton John for Princess Diana after she died, i would say Shes the One, Robbie Williams is sad. Its not a sad song, just very emotional...which can make me upset if im that sort of mood.. :cry:

But Candle in the Wind is the ultimate sad song, especially when Elton John sang it in Westminster Abbey as her coffin was being brought in. The line, 'Goodbye Englands Rose' is so poignant cos its so true.

the saddest song i heard. it's an old song, but it was the 1st time i put down watever i was doing(studying actually) and listen real carefully to the lyrics. quite sad when the grandma in the song passed away and the granddad sang the song to the wife. the song takes a different meaning altogether.

i think i've already written in this thread somewhere but i just remembered a song that always gets me every time i listen to it...it's an old, old song from the mid 80s by The Leon Haines Band...it's called For You To Remember...it's about the hardship of breaking up and stuff...i don't have the lyrics yet but when i find them i'll post it....it's a really, really sad song...the music, the way the guy sings....it's a killer combo....

Not sure if this song has been mentioned here earlier. But it has to be Kenny Bee's latest album. Almost all his songs are sad ... but there's one particular song called [在屋檐上跳舞 / Zai Wu Yan Shang Tiao Wu].

That's definitely a melacholic tune you've got there. The lyrics are damn sad too.

Bloody hell man, the first time I listened to this, I actually cried. To make matters worse, it was on my discman - have you ever noticed that when you listen to something with headphones, the effect is almost 3D? Like it's real.

It's about the love of a Mother for her child and having to say goodbye eventually. It's sad cause it's true and nothing lasts forever, no matter now much you want it to, it doesn't always mean it'll come true. And I love my Mum so much that it really struck a chord with me.

But I think whether a song is sad or not really depends on the person.

Well unless I've heard wrong many times (which is very much possible), I think Miriam Yeung's He Ren Yi (Ho Yun Yi) [Sorry I don't know the English name] and Sammi Cheng's [Yi Sung Wo Ngo] The Doctor and I were pretty sad. actually i think some of 5566's songs are also very sad and very sweet.. like boyfriend.. shou hou.. chun zai.. its like they are soooo sweet.. hehex.. feel v touched after listening to these songs.. yea i agree with ya.. that ending song for MVP valentine soo sadd...it's called wo nan guo...o man everytime i heard it i felt so sad and stuff....also from that drama also..every heary by BoA although i can;t really understand it that well, i think the tune and everything has like a sense of saddness about it i dunno maybe it's just me

also i think that shouaiwo by Liang from the MARS OST is pretty sad also. i mean it;s not like depressing but i think it's a really sweet song. o and one more song from this OST...the main theme song ling...it's liek sad because of the lyrics//because it's just talking about how this guy never though that his world could be perfect or that he would have a good ending because of his dark past until he met this girl

definetly Early Morning Phone Call. . . . its SOO sad!! i think is by zach. . somebody lol. sry can't remember. but yea it talks about how this guy gets a phone call in the early morning and how "she had gone" and then he sings about how she was the music in song and everything. . . it is SO sad... ;_; i felt like crying when i first heard it. ooh and also Heaven by DJ Sammi, the 9/11 version with the little girl talking asking her daddy if he will ever come home, and that maybe they will see each other in heaven ;_; *cries*

omgosh.. there are soo many sad songs out there. but i guess one factor that influcenes how sad the song is, is the context of the song. like i watched the movie classic, and now the songs are really sad. lyric-wise, there are alot of songs out there. like 1tym lyrics are really sad.. but then again, it also depends on how much you relate to the song..

I think Heaven Knows from Rick Price is one of the sadest songs i ever heard. If i hearthe song i always almost crying. Also, Tears in Heaven by EricClpaton. The song is dedicated to his son who passed away when he is still young.

I think Wang Lee Hom's Ai Cuo is also quite sad. The lyrics together with the piano and volin playing together makes it a sad song. I think the song is about a guy explaining to a girl that he love "wrongly" although I do not have a clear idea what that means. Anyway, it is quite a nice song.

this song was from MISA (I'm Sorry I Love You)..my heart still aches when i listen to this, and it has been a few months since i've finished this drama. you might have to watch MISA to feel the full effect of this song.

I heard on the radio a while back Eminem Mockingbird. Personally I'm nto really that into Eminem's music but the piano drew me in and he raps so clear that it made me really listen to him and the lyrics made me feel slightly emotional :cry: Here they are... though he sort of ruins it by swearing at the end. hmmm... i donno if it's the saddest songs i ever heard, but whenever i hear it, my eyes will feel hot... it's this instrumental piece by SENS called "Wish". It appeared in Takeshi Kaneshiro's Japanese drama serial (god, give me some time or sthg). SENS, if u guys haven't heard of, is this Japanese group (guy n girl), n their music often appears as background music in movies n drama serials.

i first heard this song in a rather old Hong Kong TVB drama Burning Flame (lie4 huo3 xiong2 xin1) starring louis koo(gu tian le) n wang xi & some other pple.. was really a very sad n touching show about gfirefighting, i cried so much while watching it... of course, the background music was marvellous. n after N years then did i realise it was by SENS. if i have time, will upload it for u guys! =)

omg... the saddest song i have ever heard was this remix of DJ Sammy or something like that.. and the song was called, Heaven or something?? It's really popular.. and well that was playing in the background.. while this little girl was saying stuff like, "daddy i miss you," "daddly, this summer i learnt how to swim!" and "daddy, i started school today, and there were big boys that teased me. i wish you were there to protect me" and things like that. It was a song dedicated to thos who lost their lives at the Sept 11th attacks. Really sad...

another sad song has to be An Jing by Jay Chou. I was on the way back from camp.. and i was listening to my friend's mp3 player and i started crying... no-one saw of course... but yea.. what happened at camp was reflected in the song......
