[Semifinal 1] WINNERS: East Wind Breaks & Coral Sea!

Polling can be boring, so I wanna try something different. We will be playing an elimination game which I got the idea from another forum. This requires more interaction and input on YOUR part!

How this works:

1). You will pick 2 songs listed in this thread and tell me whether you will give 10 points to it, or take away 10 points from it. All songs start off with 100 points. The cap is 300 points.

2). You can post/play more than once, but at a minimum EVERY 10 POSTS, so give others the opportunity. Make sure the person above you did their math correctly before posting yours. Adjust your totals accordingly if they INDEED made a math mistake.

3). Songs reaching 0 points are eliminated till we have only 2 songs standing. If a song you want is at 300, you can throw your +10 vote away if you can't think of any other song you want to give it too.

4). Copy the list of songs with their updated point totals in every post!

This is new to me so I don't know how well it will work! But the thread keeps going till we eliminate all but 2 songs!

What an interesting idea! :-) Takes the monotony out of having more polls.

While Retreat is actually rather listenable, it is too sub-standard for a Jay song. I always felt that it was lacking a particular sincerity. Coral Sea on the other hand, is really quite moving. :happy:

If you guys keep saying it's pointless because it appears the song is gonna lose anyways then it defeats the purpose of this technique. It only takes a few people to bring the scores in close range.

You vote for the ones you really want, not because the score is going a certain way. Otherwise, I should just declare the winners now. I'll let it go for a little while longer, and if it doesn't appear to change then I can close it.
