I'm not from Thailand but i know some of the Thai stars, like Winai Kraibutr.I 1st knew him when i watched this very popular thai horror flick "Nang Nak".Then i watched his Krai Thong as well...honestly i like Nang Nak better.Oh...and i have always liked Saharat Sangkhapreecha (um..dont really know the spelling)..he's so cute :love: I'm waiting for this thai series that's going to be shown here later where Saharat is in it..yayyy :laughing: (i have forgotten its title..but i'll try to find it out) :oops: .Other than both of the actors i've mentioned just now..i know there's this pretty thai singer named Tata Young--i read somewhere in the newspaper that she's dating Paradorn Srichapan.Oh...i should really mind my own business! :laughing:

Umm, only know the ones shown in MTV Asia Award 2003 , Greg Utt, Paradorn and Tamarind ( cute name !). That Peter Corp Dyrendal (did I spell it right ?) is handsome eh, what about the voice and the music ??.
As for music, I only have an album from Soul After Six ... are they in top charts anymore ??.

i live in Thailand. but dun really interested in Thai singer or movie star..
til yesterday.. i went to saw a movie -called--> Bubbha Ratree (Thai movie)

and the one who name Ake in the movie (the real name is Kitt) made me shock!!

oh wellz..the tata and paradon thing is like over..a long time ago (actually like two weeks? lolz)..
the reason was..paradon's parents hate tata ya know..and they all got stressed out..
so paradon decided to call it off...

i like some singers like MOS and KAT. the SEVEN girls were ok too, a while back. i'm not thai, but i'm hlf laos and my aunties like to listen to the thai music (thai is to lao like canto is to mandarin)

in my point of view, the thai music industry needs alot of improvment. the music in songs are just all the same, same instruments in lots of songs. There's nothing new, not much creativeness in music and lyrics (there are some creative artist, but few of them) compared to other country's music indutry like the chinese music for example.
Does any thai peeps here agree with me? It's not that there's not good singers at all.

Anyone want to tell me whose the biggest music artist in Thailand at the moment? I'm not thai but my thai is pretty proficient and I grew up listening to thai music, so I'm very interested to know since I haven't bought a thai ablum in a year now! So I'm pretty lost.

I love D2B!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *sigh* Too bad they sorta broke up due to unfortunate things. I was watching their goodbye concert and it was so sad, especially when they were saying their goodbyes and through that whole time, they still crack jokes and goofed around too. I love their positive outlook and personalities haha.

dan and beam are soooooooooooooooooooooo sensitive....i watched that concert too...the one that was a tribute to Big D2B. dan and beam started to cry bc they were leaving...all of their fans started crying...i was crying too when i watched...wat made me sad the most was when they left the stage after they singed the last song. but no one from the audience stood up to go home... everyone...sat there, crying, chanting D2B's names...and singing their songs...after 15 mins or so beam and dan came back out...they say their FINAL goodbyes...and left...their fans cheered them on...it was soooooooooooooooooo emotional. :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry:

D2B's music were ok, I prefer more of Bodyslam and Sillyfools type of music, but I still loved them. I think they were just nice guys with really really nice personalities. You can tell so much of an artist just by watching them interact on stage with each other. And I love their jokes hahah. Especially during that concert where Sornum (did I spell his name right?) came on and Dan was like, "sawatt dee coun Poh" or something like that, basically saying "hello dad." And beam was like, "sawatt dee puen poh" (hello friend's father). At that time i was going huh? BUT THEN! I saw the series that Dan was in where Sornrum played his father and that's when the joke dawned on. :laughing:

Its time like this that I'm glad I can understand the thai language hahaha.

hahahahaha i saw that too.... i saw the serie dan and num(sornram) play before seeing the concert so i understood wat num and dan meant. it was funny...i was laughing too. yeah...i'm not that big of a D2B fan...i like their music...but i don't really like pop...it's too out there that i got bored...i'm more into rock, R&B, and a little bit of hip hop. so my favorites in the thai entertainment is Clash, Taxi, Kala, and the thai hip hop group Thaitanium! I love their music!!! very very nice...they have their own styles that i love! i've heard sillyfools and bodyslam...i like sillyfools...their music is pretty good.... :-) :-)

I'm so out of whack with thai music and just the thai entertainment industry hahah. I know the rest (Kala's lead singer's voice sorta irk me, I just don't really like it ><) but I have no idea who is Thaitanium. :sweat: I don't really like thai hip hop, I guess it sounds really outdated and weird since most of the people rapping can't really flow. But then agian, I'm really out of the thai music industry lately so I'm just basing it on past experiences.

Just out of curiosity, are you thai? I know that may sound like a dumb question but just like this is a jay site and all, some of the members here aren't chinese (like me_ so I'm just wondering. :laughing:

Hahah, Pamujung, I thought the music industry was controlled by Grammy and RS Promotion? Why do you hate them so much? I tend to like Grammy artists a bit more than RS Promotion's. RS's artists tend to be a bit too "popsy" and too "manufactured" by the managers to fit the stereotypes of teenagers and I hate that in artists. I tend to like Grammy's because their artists can play their own instruments (some) and their music style is more of my taste.

Aight, I'm really interested in Thaitanium now. I want to know if their hip hop music is broken and bad as compared to those that I've heard before (like Nicky and Joey Boy etc.)

Oh and isn't it like a criteria that to be a thai star you have to be mix? hahah, I think now its getting better. I know compared to the last couple of years, there's more full blooded thai singing/acting and getting famous not base on their looks.

hey their music doesn't sound so bad! It reminds me of Lil John and and a little bit of J-kwon. In other words, their music is very americanized.

And yeap, I'd have to agree with Pamujung that their thai is very broken. I could barely understand them half the times and my thai is pretty good too for a non-thai person. But I think with rap and hip hop its more to the flow than being grammatically correct. Heck, half of what snoop dog is saying I don't even understand. -__-

neena, that's good then. Asian cultures tend to be a bit more conservative and uphold traditional views when it comes to the female population and how they should conduct their lives once married. I like Nat though. Her voice is so sweet and pretty and surprisingly she can hit the high notes pretty good. Plus she's beautiful! I love her eyes haha.

hmm.. Neena, may be you should not call Ploy, Cherman again. You know she have changed her name to Lyla or something like that, to make her name more english :dry: I don't know exactly why she changed her name.
well isn't it how like almost every thai star is like mix with caucasion? Trishee gave a whole explanation on the thai-english mix rage with thai stars which I'm too tired to dig up but suffice its about "beauty". :rolleyes:

btw, I'm thinking she wants to be "hip" and "modernized" to fit in with the trend. Pish Posh her!

i heard that laila is also mixed, i was very surprise to hear that...i heard that her mommy is american and her daddy is thai...she sure doesn't look american to me...niether does her sis...actually her sis looks more like she's cambodian than thai...maybe its jus me... :-)

DANM! your sis is lucky!!! when was that pix taken anyhow? dome does seem like those kind of ppl though...the guys who enhoy being around girls too much :dry:
