i agree that i liked a few of the first album songs, but that is it.

why dont they realize that no one cares anymore. her image is trash and the critics have had their field day about her....why make it worse?

if you ask me i think Britney should have saved up a lot of money...and quit~! just slipp out of view, never to return. this new album will only make the Brittney backlash begin again. she will cry, her family will be upset, and the media have another stabb at the "why we hate Brittney" thing again.

see............pointless~! why try to force people to like you? never works.

It's important to judge music in general by the sound... Not by the look...

With that said... I took the time to listen to the samples to the album... (I'll admit it... I bought her first album... But not 2nd... I never knew she came out with 3rd...)

Some favs on the album- I Got That (Boom Boom)
Some weird stuff on album- Breathe (Um... Wth? This is crap) Toxic (Weak... Bad bad song)

This is definitely a dance album... With some really bad tunes and some decent ones... But nothing worth paying over 10 bucks for... I really like that I Got That song though... The only good sample I got... The beats awesome... And voice actually matches the song ;p

I'm not really like Britney either. But hey we all chinese. We still have east tradition. All of American love Britney. All the girl like her. If they don't Britney will be fall so long ago. She change her image from a scholl girl to become like this because all of Americans like it that way.
You know Fergie from Black Eyed Peas? She sang better than every singer. She can pretend to be Britney or Christina. With exact voice. So we don't need Britney or Christina anymore cause she can do it. She said that she can pretend to be every woman singer. I was shocked when i heard her voice when she sing Britney and Christina song. Haha... so funny. But i still like Christina. And i never bought Britney album cause i don't like all of her song.

i recon, this album should be kept only to be played in clubs. it's sooo techno and electronified that they all pretty much sound the same.

Hope she realises the HUGE mistake she's making in her career and soon!

I admitt, I was a Britney fan before. :oops: But now I find her HORRIBLY GROSS AND INHUMANE. In fact, I hate all those American artists like Britney and Christina. Makes me wonder, are they selling their music or their body/image?

Yah, I heard about this album. I saw clips of that one MV with Madonna "Me Against The Music" and I was not amused. LOL....but I did hear Britney sing (LIVE!) "Everytime" on SNL a few weeks ago. Its a pretty nice song! I can't wait till her album comes out so I can download that song. I seroiusly thought of buying it, but NAHHHH.... :)

she changed her music style...her music in this album is more beaty and sensual..like 'breathe'..it sounds like a kylie song..but it suits her cause she needs the noisy background music to cover up her less like perfect voice..i personally like 'me against the music'..i like the idea of madonna singing with her...have u all seen the video? madonna is so sexy! i also heard 'everytime'...this song is about her ex-boyfriend justin timberlake(i'm a JT fan!)...i heard her sing it on SNL..she sounds horrible..she CANNOT sing! the rest of the songs in her new album are crap..

I agree... it's more 'flesh' rather than 'flashy music'.
I used to like her songs at beginning, but now... i'm quite disappointed in her style of music. Have u's guys heard her new song, the one with Madonna? Well... that's where the idea of 'disappointment' came from.

i used to be a HUUUUUGGGEEEEE fan of her. i own all of her cds. i own her dolls. i own her books. i have a huge box of britney stuff. i like her ever since she started singing. i really liked her bubblegum pop style. but sadly, everything changed. starting from her virginity to her music, i'm gradually starting to not like her as much. i will still buy her new album and support her, but really, i'm really disappointed with her.

but think on the good side! i've started to like jay after her :laughing:

Yes, I've watched it. I still think she has no talent in singing. In fairness to her, she can dance but that's all. My friend even commented that Britney puts the Mouse in MMC. :laughing:

I don't think Madonna is overrated. She changes image and can still get away with all of it with grace. Have you seen her BMW short that was directed by his husband, Guy Ritchie??

She would've a chance in singing 'sensibly' (sory to all her fans who's reading this), but lately- i've too, also noticed how her voice becomes more of a frog (or lack of singing techniques). I guess it's something to do with style of music these days...

I've heard over the radio that there is a song which is about urm... anyways- DJs say that Britney's really wanting to become a 'woman' (so that could explain all da changes lately? o_0), and there's a song that talks about... erm... Anyways- DJs also say that she's becoming dirrrty with triple Rs, worse than Christina Alguilera (though i like Christina's voice 'and' her songs), but hey *shrugs* heard it from da DJs :D

it's a damn great dance album...but the problem is britney's voice is too sexy and it's all over the album

You guys are so harsh. I happen to really like Britney Spears. I was really anticipating her new album "In The Zone". I must say, it a good album (i may be biased because i AM a fan :wink2: ). It is different from her past albums, this album is more vibey. You guys should have listened to it before you judge it.

Some of my favorite tracks off this album are: (I Got That) Boom Boom, Toxic, Showdown, Shadow, The Hook Up.

On the side note, Britney will not be disappearing anytime soon. If she debuts at number one next week, she will be breaking yet another record. She will be the first female performer to have her first 4 albums to debut at number 1 (Although i believe she currently holds it with the first 3, but hey.. keep the streak going!)

Well, that is my opinion. Give her new album a try :oops:

wah, i don't like her at all, and frankly, i think it'd be a waste of money to actually buy one of her albums. the songs might be catchy, but that's mainly because she's got a whole bunch of great composers and producers. but all in all, i really dislike her.

her voice sounds fizzy and is way too high. besides, that "oops, i'm not an innocent virgin anymore, cos nobody'd buy it anyway" attitude of hers is really disturbing. why is every so-called "artist" nowadays taking his/her shirt off when record sales are going down? that's so pathetic. :dead:

the only thing she probably really cares about is the size of her bank account. :dry:

I used to really hate Britney Spears. When she first came out, I thought she was okay. When she started going through the whole 'I am not a teenage girl and to make you all treat me like an adult I'll do the most immature thing I can think of, which is to dress like a slut to PROVE my womanhood, HWUAH!" thing. After she disappeared, my hate for her subsided and now that she's reemerged, I have to say the new Britney is slightly better than around 2nd-3rd album era.

Her 2nd album sucked, the 3rd sucked more and it seems that 'In The Zone' rises above these past albums. It still doesn't come close to being any where near as good as her debut album (few artists make a better album than their 1st or 2nd), but it's tolerable when compared to her last two.

I've actually listened to most of the songs on 'In The Zone', and I see a vast improvement from the yesteryears. Her singing isn't great, but she's a little wiser now. She knows how to market, she knows what songs to pick to draw a fanbase, she gets that for her to be successful, she'll probably have to stick to the dance-pop genre. I still don't think she's worth all the hype (I mean, how could she get a Hollywood star at such a young age? Did they run out of people?), but to be fair, she isn't as bad as before.

i was just flipping through the channels on TV and saw a bit of the "In the Zone" MV... :glug: i didn't know that this was a collaboration of britney and madonna... it was "interesting"... reminds me of that post chun li made of their kissing on stage during the MTV awards. ah well... i haven't listened to her for a long time now... i liked her when she first came out. i guess she was one of the first female pop artists out of all those boybands... but then she just got more and more sluty... that's such a bad influence on the young kids, especially all those girls who wanna imitate her... :wacko: but anyway, it's hard to understand the transitions that she's gone through, her messed up relationship with justin, her need to prove her womanhood, etc. etc. at least she looks like she has more clothing on in this MV than some of her other MVs... :crazy:

Anyway. I watched this Britney Spears special on TV the other day (I was bored okay) and she seems so.. ditzy?! And, I know her 4th album is supposed to be "trancy" but it does NOT help Britney to show off her talent (if she has any) at all, because her voice just sounds so digitised and "processed" in all the songs. I gotta say, the song she wrote (for Justin, I think) is quite nice. It's called 'Everytime'.. it's something that would fit in nicely with her debut album. Which everyone agrees was her best. I didn't know she played the piano though? Okay, +1. But it's such a SLOW SONG, and she couldn't even sing it live!! -10.

I know everyone likes to compare Britney to Christina, but that is so insulting to Christina. <- She's so talented; awesome voice.

First off, let me just say that I haven't listened to Britney Spears's latest offering and I don't intend to in this life or the next.

Having that said, can I just say, too, that I did unfortunately chance across her 'Me Against the Music' thing on MTV, and while the MV was something that would take another post to write about altogether, I didn't find the song that great either.

Truth be told, I think Bit-bit denigrates music. She can't sing, she's totally commercialised and she has one the most horrible image I've ever seen. And she also happens to be a total bimbo, from the various quotes of hers that I've read when flipping through the papers, and from that one episode of "Punk'd" in which she appeared. She is, like, a total, like, valley girl and all, and like, that is sooooooo not cool, like you know?

Seriously though, I don't get all the fuss about her. I did like her when she first started but heck, at that time I didn't even know what good music was. But god, to recall her first album cover and to compare it with her present image is like... well, it leaves a lot to be desired, let's just say.

and back to her new release of which I've heard only one song. I don't know, when I heard it, all I could think of was, "What the hell..."

Britney is just... to put it politely, she makes me laugh. And when induced laughter is unintentional, that isn't a very good thing. Oh well.

Britney's targeting her songs to dance clubs and she knows how to make it good. She ain't a good singer [Chritsina took that place] but she is a good dancer. people...you really need to relax...were not dissing Britney like shes the devil or something...we have this thread to DISCUSS about Britney, so of course you'll see different opinions by different people. of course, every artist has his/her own talents, style etc. but that doesnt mean that it will be accepted by all people.

i personally think Britney is a great artist. she can sing, dance and entertain...thats really important. she is kind (from the interviews ive seen) and is loyal to her fans. although i like her because she has her own style, i still think she dresses herself a bit too slutty. most of the time its part of the MV, so thats not too bad.

about the part that shes changed alot, i totally agree. i still remember the time when she released her single "Baby one more time"...i even tried to dance like her...LOL...but you can see that with every single, Britney's popularity will increase. for me, was I'm a slave 4 U a total surprise. i never thought that she would actually do that kind of things...O.o

i went to her movie Crossroads, it wasnt that bad...i think shed put a lot of effort in her work, so i admire her for that.

I think 1st the MV was gonna end with her "drowning", but then they had to change it because ppl kept saying that it`s a bad influence on kids (making them suicidal and stuff) . so no, i don`t think she dies in the end. she kinda just "dozed off" in the thub and had a weird dream^^

i`m not a britney fan, but i think everytime is one of the nicest britney songs.. and I think she co-wrote it too. and Stephen Dorf (is that how you spell his name?) is very goodlooking (especially when he takes his shirt off) :drool:

One can interpret "best" as record selling, charts hitting, most played on radio, what boost her to fame etc. But if you said "interesting", that'd be a whole new story. Like maybe Jay's 7LX is the "best" record selling but maybe Ye Hui Mei is the most interesting in terms of music style and songs etc. you know?

I'd still say her first album is her "best" too. Its what made her who she is today, the princess of pop or something like that. personally without 'baby one more time" maybe earning her rep. and fame would be harder since there's so many artists breaking out today. And yes, maybe her 4th album is the most interesting. She talks alot aobut things that she rarely does and shows a more mature side.

i love her fouth album 'in the zone' because a large majority of the songs are written by her, i think it reflects her persona.. and the tunes are really good. the next album would have to be "slave" cos for the first two, they were really not that good, except for a couple really good songs. i dont think that britney had alot of control of her music for her first 2.

radio disney is like living in the late 90s these days, they play the oldest music now. they do play her music, but ti's like " not a girl not yet a woman" or "oops.." "lucky" the old buble gum britney. but it's prolly cos the lyrical content is kinda pg 13ish.

my sis bought the perfume. the larger bottle comes with this tube with a lil bubble. its' those old fashion kinda, where u squeeze it n it'll spray the perfume, but sadly the small one doesnt include it. my sis also said that it was hard to make the perfume stay on u . does that make sense? cos usually if u spray a perfume, it kinda grows on u, and u start smelln like it. even if u dont spray it

Ok, about those 10, 13 year olds trying to imitate Britney, the fault lies in the parents, NOT Britney. She's not their parents. She's a "role model" of some sort but that doesn't mean they assimilate into being little versions of Britney themselves. And besides, who bought those clothes for those little girls? Their parents. Who bought the CDs, let them watch those videos? I personally think that she's just doing what she coins as her job and she has that right to do whatever she wants and well, she didnt' come into the industry to be a mentor for those little girls. :rolleyes:

I actually love Britney's music, I can;t help it, i don;t want to, but I do lol. I bought her Greatest Hits (which debuted in the top 10 straight away here in Aus, showing that ppl do frikking like her! esp. since 'Me Against the Music' was Top 5 for a month or two here, and 'Toxic' was no. 1!). However, i am ashamed to like her hahaha, esp. since i have 4 of her CDs :shy: hahahahhaa i see them in my collection and almost wet myself laughing sometimes, but hey - who cares, i love the songs.

She can't sing, as we all found out when she sang 'Oops I did it again' in Tokyo with only a drum as accompaniment!! It was awful, she really can;t sing live at all (thats why its GOOD that she mimes 99.9% of every concert :wink2:). 'Everytime' live on her Onyx Hotel Tour this year was vile ROTFL, so i would seriously rather pay to see her mime!!! :D

Her weak voice is why the production has to be so good on her albums, to hide the fact she can't sing for shite! But hey, I still love her lol :bleh:

That said, her dancing skills are phenomenal, she really rivals Madonna when she was at her peak around 1993. And her concerts' staging etc is always top class (except for the lack of clothes lol :oops:). The artwork in her new Greatest Hits is like a trip from clothed (in 1997) to wearing bugger all (2004). LOL :whistle:

Anyway, despite the fact that she is a bit of a ho (ok a big one at times), i still think her time has been important to the music industry haha. She has actually said she's taking 4 years off now, so all those ppl who want to burn her at the stake should be happy :rasp: lol

i havent got a chance to watch chaotic yet, only some parts... only part i didnt like was that, it was filmed by them, so it's all shaky. but i think it shows alot on their relationship. it actually got me to like kevin, cos b4 i wasnt sure i liked him. the only episode that i watched, kevin says "do u realize how many dreams, you've made a reality?" after britney tells the camera that brad and jen had broke up. den kevin joked that she'll leave him for brad, so britney protests that it was just a dream.

I must admit that can't act too. And she cannot make great music all by herself.
But I know she's got talents too - and I respect her for that.

yeah, in all honesty, i really dont see whats great about her. but then again, i have no reason to judge if i dont personally know her. the only thing i give her props for is for making so many tweenagers [like, middle schoolers age 11-14] want to be like her. so much manipulation. not many people can do that and i give her props for that. and i think she wants to consider herself as a role model for the youth, but i dont think i'd want my kids looking up to her =/ i guess i'm too conservative for wanting my future children to live a lifestyle like that. sure, everyone changes, and i'll give that to her.. but i guess its just out of my selfishness that i wish she wasnt a celebrity because i see young girls wanting to be like her and showing so much skin and trying dress like a skank. i shouldnt judge what they wear and stuff like that but i derno, it just irks me

Yeah,she really has talent and it shows.
She wouldn't get this far if she doesn't possess any talent
and even if most of her songs and her image as a whole may seem bad to many,
I still like the fact that she remains true to herself even if it means
people getting to judge her from their own unjustified points of view,
without realizing the constant ups and downs in her life and her career.
It's just that I don't think Kevin Federline is the perfect guy for her. :shy:
That guy makes me want to avoid the Newlyweds-type reality show
Britney and Kevin: Chaotic which airs on Channel V.
I try to resist watching it even if I am a big fan of her,
perhaps because I don't like him and it hurts me that Britney

Britney has hinted to fans she is ready to ditch Kevin Federline, in a poem posted on her website. :excited:

She has written a heart-felt poem on her official website,
in which she appears very unhappy in her marriage.

The poem comes after Federline, renowned for spending Britney's money,
openly insulted her on a radio station in the US and also admitted that
the couple spend most of their time apart.

In the poem, Britney describes feeling chained down,
asking the question to her husband, "How do you stand sleeping at night?"

She also hints that she feels secure enough now to take her son
Sean Preston away from the apparently bad influence of his father.

The poem was mysteriously removed from BritneySpears.com
within hours of being posted, without explanation.

By the way, Britney's perfumes are selling well.
She was talking to reporters at a special celebration
to honour the enormo-sales of her Elizabeth Arden perfume range.
When asked if her dalliance with the world of smells meant that she was going to go into fashion too,
J-Lo-style, she admitted that she currently has no plans in that direction, but that she wouldn't rule it out.
She told Women's Wear Daily: "Maybe one day, but the fragrances are keeping me busy for now."

i was reading Us Weekly, and they did a comparison picture of her and pam anderson. goodness, they looked SO much alike in those pictures. it was really weeeeird. who knows if brit would turn out to be like pam anderson. that'd be pretty sad, dont you think?

Britney definitely doesn't suit for being a mother (personal opinion), she can't even handle a baby :dry: The photos of her carrying her baby was really so freaky, it's like he could fall anytime, and what's with the drink on the right hand? ><
I think she keep her chihuahua with a 100k colar would be better.

And yes, I prefer the old Britney, with her innocent looks and MORE clothes. I think my favourite video would be "Sometimes", where she wears the white outfit and dances at the beach :D

As a Britney fan, it's a must that I watch Crossroads.
It was an 'okay' movie. But Britney's acting isn't really THAT bad!
It was way better than what Mariah did on Glitter.

Us Weekly has launched a countdown clock on its website, usmagazine.com, which ticks off in real time the number of days, minutes, and even seconds since Britney Spears and her infamous husband Kevin Federline were last seen together in public.

The webpage features a photograph of the notorious couple posing affectionately at a birthday party for Federline on March 25 in Atlanta. As of this writing, that was more than 75 days ago--and the Us Weekly clock keeps ticking away with seemingly no Spederline reunion in sight.

While Federline is reportedly finishing up his debut album, Playing With Fire, his wife has been photographed by the paparazzi numerous times without him. Instead, Spears has been keeping company with her son Sean Preston's male nanny: a hunky, 28-year-old Naval Academy graduate named Perry Taylor. I think I have that disorder too. :secret:

2. Britney bravely posed nude for the cover of Harper's Bazaar's August issue.

Don't clink that link unless you're 18 and above, don't you have a phobia of seeing pics of pregnant women

3. According to contactmusic.com, Neyo has been helping Brit work on some new material,
and he was not exactly full of praise for K-Fed. He said:
"I don't know the guy, but I know people that know him
