Moving forward, here are the pop ballads

i voted for hui dao guo qu because its a very nice song..i love the the lyrics and the composition of the song..it puts a tender feeling in my heart.

i love the accompaniment and the melody of kai bu liao kou.. it's so pretty.. and it's got a nice heartfelt, but rather sad, story.. it's got my vote! :happy:

My...i've never had a more difficult decision!!!

Was considering between 'kai bu liao kou', 'tui hou' and 'hui dao guo qu'. drove me crazy!!! :wacko:

'hui dao guo qu' came out on top though. think it might be cuz of the variation in the song..slow intro then all the instruments in the chorus and bridge, then kind of dies down at the end =)

This was a difficult choice.

Back to the Past is the Jay-and-me song. Black Humour is just classic Jayness. Retreat I simply love.

It was tough but I had to choose Can't Open my Mouth. I never get tired of listening to this song.

Ark. I didn't see Can't Open mouth... but luckily I didn't at the same time, I would've had a bad time choosing between Can't Open Mouth and Return to the Past.

Return to the Past is a absolute favorite with mine <33 and to top it all,, the MV was one of my favorites. The SMS part was so much love :love:

kai bu liao kou. (: the english literal translation might sound dumb but kai bu liao kou is a classic for me. :cry: the lyrics are just touches your heart. &&& the way jay sings it. oh man. you wouldn't want to be the girl who he sings that too. :X

ehh. this is really hard to choose. i could have chosen anyone of these songs. but i chose Coral Sea in the end. was kinda surprised that Black Humor is leading. but well, it's one of Jay's classic. all the songs are great though. :D

I would have to go with Black Humor.

I actually miss these type of songs from Jay, with the heavy piano accompaniment in the beginning and the layer of grand orchestra in the end. Something like Tornado also.

I also love how the melody sound, it's somewhat unpredictable, so you don't get easily bored of it.

Boy it was tough for me to decide between kaibuliaokou &huidaoguoqu. Both are classics, yet I finally decided on kaibuliaokou cos I think it's really a striking reality :wink2:

Black Humor is my choice.

This is the first ballad that had caught my 'ears' in the concert. I was dragged to the concert by a friend and after this song, i've decided I love Jay... so much so that I went charging to the music store the day after the concert.

Another tough group but my final pick is Hei Se You Mo. It's arguably the best song from Jay's self-titled debut album. Black Humor is also my fantasy singing contest piece. :D

This was between Return to the Past and Cannot Speak for me. Return holds a special place in my heart because if not for it, I would not have gotten into Jay. Cannot has a prettier melody and sadder lyrics....and so that got my vote.

Ok guys I choose Coral Sea...it's the typical pop ballad song...very very slowly, smooth and with a wonderfull lyric...besides I love the duet! Lara Liang sings really good (Nan Quan Ma Ma rocks!!) and Jay oh Gosh...I have no words!!

i found it hard to decide between the newer tui hou or kai bu liao kou but i chose the latter. it's hard to forget the tunes of both songs isn't it...

I was torn between Black Humor and Can't Open Mouth. Black humor is such a classic but Can't open mouth somehow pulls at my heart-strings more, even if it's just a teeny-weeny bit more. It's just so sad.
But I feel that out of these 5, retreat is the weakest bcos it just seems to lack that raw and heartfelt feeling.

Really tough choice between "Coral Sea" and "Black Humor." These are two of my favorite Jay ballads. In the end, I went with "Black Humor" though, because his vocals are so earnest in the song and he sings so well in it. Also, because Lara's vocals in "Coral Sea" get too nasally and squeaky at times, but still, it's a very beautiful song with some great harmonizing.
