[Battle 4] Battle of the Soft-Rock Songs

It's very hard to categorize 70 songs, and I know my categorization isn't perfect and won't make everyone happy. There's some logistics behind it that scrambles things up a bit. You wouldn't want to vote on Silence and Black Humor in the same Round 1 poll now would you?

Ahhh! But I don't want to vote between Qing tian and ta de jie mao in the 1st round either. :wink2: This is so hard. It feels like the final round. Every song in this category is one of my favourites. If I had to discard any, White windmill would be the first to go but from then on, it's just throwing up wild cards. :wacko: Okay, so maybe the next up for elimination is maple.

But I'll still have 4 equally delightful songs left! And each song just gives me a different story and a different set of feelings that comes along with it when i listen to these songs. Ta de jie mao makes me feel happy and in love, Qing tian gives me the all tingly and 1st sweetheart feeling, 7lx gives me the happy memories and in love feeling and track gets me all nostalgic.

I vote Qi Li Xiang. :-)

This is the most difficult vote ever.... qi li xiang, qing tian, and ta de jie mao. All so good, although I'll have to vote for ta de jie mao (which is tied with qing tian... and qi li xiang bah)

This one was hard too, but White Windmills stuck out to me because of the way Jay wrote the lyrics...they're very heart-rendering without saying too much.

Track is very good too...his voice is in a lot of pain.

Wow, i was confused btw cloudless day and common orange jasmine. But finally, I chose Cloudless Day. It is the pures and most smooth song evar ^^

Argh, I LOVE all of these!! Cloudless Day, Hidden Track, Her Eyelashes, Qi Li Xiang and Feng... so hard to choose between these few.

But Cloudless Day was the song that made me fall in love with jay's music so I had to choose it - Plus i loved the Poem (White Words) he used in his MV. It was so romantic... :bleh:

Feng doesn't sound that rockish to me...

But my favourite is Qi Li Xiang. It is true that I thought nothing much of it. Just another Jay style ballad. However, i get addicted to it and now, every time i listen to it, I feel a cool breeze blowing cross my heart and it relaxes me.. haha

but i remember how my best friends and i spaz on the song qing tian when we were 14, and those beautiful memories just came back . the opening of the song is just so .... ahhhhhh .

It was tough between Qing Tian and Qi Li Xiang, but Qi Li Xiang eventually won out - though the first is really lovely, the melody of the latter is simply gorgeous.

I voted Qi Li Xiang because it was one of the first few songs that actually made me fall in love with Jay Chou. :)

OMG, all of my favorite songs are battling it all out in this very category! :ohmy:

Qing Tian, Gui Ji and Feng are my top 3 most favorite Jay ballads of all time! And I love the rest as well - Ta De Jie Mao, Bai Se Feng Che, Qi Li Xiang - I love them all. It's a really hard choice to make but I voted for Gui Ji. It's such a wonderful song. Its melancholic words and smooth, rhythmic melody touches the heart. It's so powerful it makes me cry or at least teary-eyed whenever I listen to it. :blush:

GOSH. another hard one. it's getting harder and harder to choose. everyone of the songs are great. i didn't know what to choose actually, that i almost didn't vote at all. my top 3 in this category are Bai Se Feng Che, Feng, and Qi Li Xiang. i love the way sings Feng, it touches my heart. Bai Se Feng Che is my favourite ballad in Still Fantasy album as it's simple yet nice. i choose Qi Li Xiang in the end though, as i never seem to get tired of it even after listening to it countless of times. plus somehow the song seems to melt my heart everytime i listen to it. :D

Ta De Jie Mao (her eyelashes) is my choice. :D i love it from the first i heard it. it simply a little different with jay's usual style. beside that, i love to Karaoke-ing with that song.

Holy crap this one KILLED ME. All the songs here are SO GOOD.
I'd normally vote for Qing Tian but I figure enough people will vote for it so I will throw my support for Ta De Jie Mao, which is greatly underappreciated and all sorts of awesome.

...Qing Tian really is gorgeous though ;O;

One of the hardest one to choose because I love both Cloudless Day and Qi Li Xiang equally. But after thinking and thinking, I guess I'll have to go with Qi Li Xiang because of the lyrics. It's such a beautiful song by the way. One of Jay's best
