I don't think there is a topic on this....

Have any of you saw Love Actually yet? I think it's the cutest christmas movie they have out this year. It's rated R in the US and i doubt they would really show it in some of the Asian ctries due to the content. :wink2:

I thought that the director did a really good job tying all nine stories into the movie plus the soundtrack is so catchy it put me in Christmas mood although work has been kinda gloomy recently.

Here is the website, it's really cool with tons of clip and funny quips!

Let me know what all of you think abt it.

ooo I really want to see this. I love romantic comedies and it's gotta be funny if Hugh Grant's in it. But my friend said there's unnecessary sexual stuff in the movie? I don't know.

Martine McCutcheon sang "Perfect Moment", which was one of the songs played in Meteor Garden. interesting huh :P

Was it confusing because of all the different stories and characters packed into one?

I don't know about the unnecessary sexual stuff in the movie but i think it might have something to do with the british comedy. However i have to agree that some of the stuff they had on there were weird but kinda funny. :glug: :)

Martina was definitely in there and she was super nice in the movie. I like her too. Her talking voice is so different from her singing voice though.

I sure luved it.
To me- it was more romantic rather than comedic (i only remember laughing constantly everytime i see the 'billy' guy :D).
Was also sad.
Had something to learn about from that movie. Somethinga bout... Christmas. :)

Mmm, there's sexual stuff? X_X
I've never watched American romance-comedies just for that reason...
I love HK flicks though ^_^

I really want to see this movie, only because I like Keira Knightley and Hugh Grant. But the one person who wanted to see it with me has cancelled on me so now I won't be able to see.

Mmm, there's sexual stuff?

I saw in the trailer that there's nudity, so I guess that counts as "sexual stuff".

It's rated R in the US

Wow, is it really rated R in the US? In Australia it's only M 15+ but it means that those under 15 can still view it if they're accompanied by an adult.

Awww...

Well well, America is run by conservatives, but populated by liberals.

Uh, in Singapore it's PG, as in anyone can enter, even 5-year-old kids. Haha.

Anyway, I loved the movie. Okay, I didn't love it but I liked it. Billy Mack totally rocked my boat! Isn't he just one adorable old man? I found the ending too saccharine and mushy so it didn't go down well with me, but the rest of the movie really made me laugh. It was good. I love the Brits. Fantastic accent. And Hugh Grant is hot! :)

right.. this movie is not just any romantic movie.. but a story about love in all dimensions.. may it be girl-boy.. siblings.. parents.. friends.. they really depicted love in all angles - idealistic (hugh's & colin's stories) & realistic (emma's & keira 's stories).. the idea of being connected wthout knowing each other is just amazing.. my friends and i cried in this movie.. hahahhaha.. especially the guy who wrote a message to keira knightly using an illustration board or something.. that was really both sad and sweet.. i guess.. one of my favorites..

^_^ Love Actually was a great movie

Colin Firth and Hugh Grant!!

There were funny parts and sad parts. I like the relationship that Liam Neeson's character eventually develops with his son, that storyline was probably my favorite.
I just noticed that a good bit of the movie actually makes fun of Americans...like the thing about the American chicks dig accents (which is actually true...for me at least :P) and the one when the President was hitting on Hugh Grant's secretary.

I love this movieee!!!
Each story in the movie is very romanticc...best watched during Xmas time with your loved ones.
I think this movie is not shown in Asia because they show sexual stuff which is about the one starring for the sex movie or something? But I remember they actually show the having sex part.

One of my all time favourite movies. The one in Singapore (not sure about the rest of Asia) had that story with the couple who acted in porn flicks totally censored out. I did manage to catch the fully uncensored one and it was still as funny.

My fav bit was when that guy expressed his love for his best friend's wife (played by Keira Knightely) with those placards around Xmas. I actually teared.
