Now that it's the new year, we can center all of the hatred into one thread. The three most popular targets seem to all fall under the same horrifying accusation: they pretend to be cute, but they are TOO OLD.

It's one thing to be sixteen and sweet and giggly, it's another to still play roles when you look like an old woman!

Exhibit A:
RAINIE YANG.
Our featured artist back in October of last year, and now she can still be seen for her strange fashion sense, for pursuing her lips, and for jumping & dancing in front of a school bus like she's in elementary.

Known for her revealing outfits but still trying to pass off as a cutie. She can't really dance, can't really sing...and is really really bad at decorating other people's nails.

without the least bit of hesitation i voted for CynDi because i never really hated Jolin or Rainie. i just dislike them cos of some things they do. :dry: besides i've always been ABIT of a jolin fan. though i kinda hate her now. -.-

but CynDi, she's been getting on my nerve ever since her second album. i can't stand her looks and i can't stand her disgusting act cute poses cos they are not cute at all and her stupid act cute voice cos for goodness sake why must you fake that accent. at least jolin doesn't fake a cutesy singing voice and rainie doesn't fake a cutesy hosting style. :whistle:

I chose Cyndi. I've never liked her from the beginning and I can't think of a single reason of why I shoudn't like her.

I'm actually a Rainie fan, although she acts cute like Cyndi, but at least she can sing and she's prettier and her acting cute is more funny. I disike Jolin for certain reasons, but at least her songs are catchy.

Cyndi? Annoying voice, annoying face, annoying acting. Enough said.

wow i thought with the popularity of the anti-jolin threads on this forum that there would be people who were annoyed by jolin. but i guess cyndi is leading the pack.

i was about to vote for jolin but then decided that cyndi was more of an annoyance because she tries so hard.

Cyndi's fake cuteness does grate on my nerves, as does her crappy music, but there's something about her disengenuine cuteness that I don't mind as well, I don't think she takes her image too seriously so I guess I don't mind it that much. Rainie is adorable but she's so overrated and popular that it's painful, her music tires me and yet so many people sing her praises and play it over and over, I don't have much against her really but I guess my pure hatred for Ai Mei just pushes me over the edge to vote for her. Ugh, that song just makes me want to kill things.

As for Jolin, initially I didn't care much for her but I've really come to like her, especially with all the hatred directed towards her, so no real qualms with her here :P

i kinda stopped watching wei xiao pasta because of cyndi. she kept twirling her hair and all.. i felt embaressed for her too. dressing as a turtle and doing all these stunts in front of the whole school. she kept falling and its like OMG its the end of my life! but i liked the songs she sang in that drama.

Can't stand her sweetness and those dances in her MV. Looks like some primary school girls dancing. If she's 13, I still can accept that.
At least I enjoy Rainie's hosting and Jolin's songs.

I seriously think the she tries too hard to be cute. I mean c'mon she is already 20 something. If she is like 15, i might accept it. Even during Devil Besides You, I couldn't stand her acting. She have to stick out her tongue all the time. i think she is too dramatic! And come to think of it, when she sings some of the baby songs 'ex can't see. I can't stand her voice. She is like trying to hold her voice to be like a baby or something and she definitely can't sing that high! X__X Plus she took the song from the Korean Group, seven princess. i was so disgusted when i found out! she singing seven years old stuff!

I really hate Rainie's hosting.. I think it's so boring and too exaggerated. Especially in Guessx3, all she can say to all the participants is "hao ke ai ~~"(cute~ etc.)
I also hate how she uses the baby voice and says all t hese phrases, most frequent used was "ko" ai.

Everytime I look at Cyndi, I always thought she was too skinny. Does she think she looks good looking like a stick?

I voted for Cyndi, because when i thought about it, she's the one i hated right from the moment i saw her. i can't even explain it, it was like instant hate. ugh. but i've blasted her already in her anti-x thread so now, all i can say is cyndi trying to be cute = rot! if elton john had something to say about her, he'd probably say that she should be shot!
jolin, well i hate her now, but there was a time (and that was a really long time ago, like when she wasn't that big yet) that i actually though she was OK. but now: scary nails, the denial about her artificial enhancements and her seemingly publicity-hungry comments...
rainie, i don't really have much to say about her, i watch guess guess guess sometimes but i don't really stick around. don't know much about her and i'm not really that interested, so i won't insult her lol

i kind of had a little trouble choosing because i dislike both rainie and cyndi. but at the end, i decided that i can at least listen to rainie's songs without trying not to puke ... =(

so my vote goes to cyndi.

i hope the crown is pretty, cyndi, because you can't stand ugly things that aren't cute and "fit for you" lol.

jolin.... about her, i think sometimes, she's actually okay. i have a few of her CDs, but now, she's turning into an Asian version of Paris Hilton. Like she's doing these stupid things like wearing all these slutty clothes, and doing slutty dances, and she even kissed Elva. Who would be so desperate of attention to do that?

Jolin is okay.. she works really hard and it shows.. just that sometimes she can come off as a slut. But that doesnt really make me hate her that much. It's her own image.

Rainie is okay too. She's smart and her 'cuteness' doesnt come off as being too fake. As least she admits that she 'acts cute' for work purposes. I believe that underneath her work personna, she's rather down-to-earth.

Cyndi is bad bad bad! She's so bloody annoying. She's so old and she looks like a hag. Plus, it's no big secret that her attitude stinks. Add all these together and you'll get the most hated pop 'princess'.

i dislike cyndi for her over cuteness, her expression(notice i didn't say expressions) and her attidude..she trys way tooooooo hard to act cute and its not working for her..i mean how old are you now cyndi?? and when i found out she lip-sings my hatred for her increased. she just basically sucks..

and as for jolin and rainie..
i don't hate jolin, i actually quite like her but i just can't stand the ay she dresses and the fact that she can't even admit to surgery..but other than that i like her songs (i think they're catchy) and shes a good singer.plus shes hard working so must give her some props on that..

and rainie..
i don't hate her at all..shes cute.and she sings well. and atleast she admits that she acts all cute for publicity purposes and she also says that she wants to stop acting cute too.

I had a hard time choosing which one to vote so in the end, I voted for them all. xD

Rainie Yang was cute back in her Meteor Garden days but when I saw her performing at the HK Disneyland opening, I was beyond unimpressed. I guess her 'overcuteness' didn't win me over. :dry:

Cyndi Wang is pretty but it didn't help boost her credibility as an artist.
She was quite okay for me before but now...eek! :oops: :rasp:

And the very agile Jolin Tsai... hmm... no comment. :shifty:
I think I've written enough not-so-good things about her before. :bleh:

I ABSOLUTELY cannot stand her. She cannot sing, her songs are freaking annoying, and I don't get why everyone thinks she's so cute. Some people are just naturally cute. She's not one of them.

As for Jolin...there's a love-hate thing I have for her...and Rainie...I don't care about her.

Jolin's over-exposure is terrible (God I hate Brittney Spears style pop idols - speaking of which why isn't she on here?) but her music is actually okay, I listen to it quite a lot and it's good enough

Rainie I don't have much against - only saw a bit of Devil Beside Me and she really didn't do much in MG1 so can't say anything about her acting, but she's cute

Cyndi is annoying - I hate people who try too hard - if you can't do it, you can't, live with it (but I guess the rest of this rant belongs to the "I hate ..." thread since it doesn't really pertain to Cyndi)

I am torn between choosing Jolin or Cyndi and in the end I decided on Jolin cos she is just a big copy cat and she denied about doing surgery on her face. In addition, recently she said something about she has many suitors and is like showing off. And her dressing is getting a bit too slutty for my liking.

I voted for Rainie. I CANNOT stand her... and plus Cyndi and Jolin are at least prettier than her. I mean she sounds like she has asthma everytime she sings and have you seen the expressions in Devil Beside You? If it wasn't for the sake of watching Mike He I wouldn't have finished the drama.

I actually wanted to vote for Jolin but I hate Rainie more.

I just sampled several music videos on youtube from all 3 singers and yes I think Jolin's music videos are creative but boring.

Her songs were somewhat catchy,but nothing special.The other 2 singers.There were actually songs that I liked from them so I pick Jolin.Sorry to all those Jolin fans if there's any.^^

This is a no-brainer - I voted for Cyndi.
I didn't like her the moment I saw her on tv. She does nothing except to prance about looking cute and er, yes, dance with stuffed animals and pout.
You know, she actually has a decent singing voice but she really needs to do something about that image.

I voted for cyndi too! Didn't really appeal to me. A decent singing voice but her image spoils everything. I suggest she need to undergo a extreme makeover again. Re-package her otherwise she'll be thrown behind by the market. :D

Anyhow, I pretty much hate Rainie and Cyndi just as much. I agree with ene that Cyndi has actually a decent singing voice, but I couldn't stand everything else about her. Can't stand watching her TV dramas.

Rainie... hmmm, let's just say... I HATE her acting in DBS. She can't be funny even if she tries to, so let's don't try then. And her voice is whiny and weak, and to put it simply, she doesn't have the quality to have a solo album. I can't believe she has 2 albums already. *gasp*

Actually, I wasn't so sure myself. It's what I read from this post ("http://www.jay-chou.net/forums/showpost.php?p=751915&postcount=19). They said she looks prettier ever since Magic 72 album, and rumors said she did plastics on her cheeks. But again, it was a rumor. No one knows for sure.

im not that familiar with cindi..so i cant comment..

well..i watch *Devil Beside You*..and i enjoyed it...[i think largely due to the fact that Mike He was preety cool in it...and cute too]...rainie's acting..was..erm...ok in it....it's better than a lot of other taiwan actresses??..or at least the ones i've seen...
