Even though the ordering of Jay's songs are slowing going down. But it is still great to see that nearly all of his songs are still on the chart in the top 20's even after the long release of YHM album! Congrats Jay!!!

thanks phyxius for the news and sharing it here. SHE is doing quite well.......actually, their last album was not bad at all...pretty good. and wow.....Jay's always doing good on the charts, no big surprise. He deserves it. :D

I just saw MTV Chinese Kareoky Box yesterday, and Jay songs that were still in chart were

3rd : San Nian Er Ban
11th : Tong Yi Zhong Diao Diao
12th : Ti Tian.

The others are gone. On the other hand, SHE had really full the chart with their song. I think I remember "He Bing Gong Yuan" somewhere around 4th or 5th.

I've got this weird thought... I think part of the reason why Jay's songs may not be as 'powerful' when it comes to Karaokae charts is because quite a few of them are not sing-a-ble... (unless they are some die hard Jay fans who pratice day and night to perfect it...)
I mean... my guy friends love Jay son'gs but at karaoke... they steer clear... reason: 1) they can't handle the raps/faster songs... and 2) the slower songs usually have higher notes that they can't reach...
It's kinda true you know... just look at the songs of the charts and it reflects this trend... I have one conclusiong... Jay songs are not K-songs (pun unintended)

compare that to very sing-able SHE songs... of cos SHE will top the charts...

lattae, i totally agree with your point. jay's songs aren't very "karaoke-friendly". in order to sing the rap/fast songs, you DO have to practice a lot to get it down pat. as for the slow songs, they work better for girls in terms of range because of the high notes. unless your guy friends are all tenors who can reach those notes, it can be quite tricky. most of the songs by other male artists, i'd have to sing an octave highter in order to feel comfortable with the range. but with jay songs, i don't need to adjust. so, in conclusion, jay's songs aren't very singable. haha... i guess it's supposed to be enjoyed more "passively" than sung "actively". :laughing:
