Rocky Balboa is probably one of the great oldies in movies. Rocky I-V, made in the late 70s to early 90s, showcased great fights. It's been about 17 years since a sequel was made. Rocky Balboa is a pretty decent sequel.

Rocky Balboa has now been retired for some time, but hard-up for money, he decides to step back into the ring against a few small-time boxers. Everything changes, though, when Rocky is offered the opportunity to step in with the reigning Heavyweight Champion, Mason "The Line" Dixon. Does Rocky still have what it takes to make another Championship comeback?
I don't want to spoil the movie, so I'm using IMDB's plot outline for the movie.

The sound I gave a 4.5 because I love the theme song when Rocky trains, with the meat and stairs. If you'd ever seen the older movies, it's staying true to what Rocky is about. The plot is more or less half character development, half fight. Rocky's wife died, so he's kinda in that "devistated loss" state. For acting, I think these Rocky movies were never about the acting. It's the fight that
speaks for itself, along with some words of encouragement. Stallone is in great shape, for a guy in his 60s.

Watch this movie. Not one of the classic Rocky movies, but still good. Best sequel to come out in some time.

I was worried they just gave up on new ideas and were redoing the oldies to an entire new degreee. But it sounds like it's worth checking out. Thanks for the review.

Wow, it's already come out?! Darn you people out the West, people down in Aus have to wait until next year to watch this haha.

I loved the Rocky movies, my favs are I and IV. I absolutely get inspired when they show Rocky's training scenes, like in the first movie where he runs around the whole town with people following him. Then in IV where he runs in the snowy mountains. hehe can't wait for this- thanks Orangeman for the review :D
