hey everyone i finally watched the show today! i dragged my rather unwilling friend to watch with me.. so for those who watched it let's share our thoughts on the show! ok if you haven't watched the show and don't want to spoil it for yourself.. please don't read the rest of my post.. i am going to spoil it for you...sorry :bleh:

ok to be very honest i didn't really like the show.. there was a point where the story didn't seem to move all and there wasn't much of a storyline.. i think it's trying to convey different views on love in a way to the audience.. i admit the direction wasn't too bad and a little abstract at some parts.. but really the movement of the plot (if there was any at all) is just very slow and on the whole the movie wasn't particularly exciting or funny.. the best of of the show was when they played jay's songs and when jay appeared in the end.. but even the scene when jay appeared at the end didn't have any connection with the plot at all.. and as many have said it ended too abruptly... my friend laughed at the end cos she couldn't believe it was over.. haha i would say the best part of the show was when jay appeared and when they played his music.. ok that was a little mean but i think the director was trying to convey the different ideals of love in an abstract manner without providing enough entertainment value to sustain the audience.. for one perhaps the script could be better written...
anyhow i think all jay fans should watch it cos well it's jay's debut on the big screen and that's a moment worth seeing.. :excited: but really don't expect much from it... that way you won't be too disappointed

ps to mods i dunno if this should be put under here or jay discussion.. please move it if you think it's suitable under jay discussion

Yupz.. i watch it too.. before i watch hidden track.. i did watch the trailer.. and i have to admit.. i go for the movie just to somehow support jay in his deput movie..
so .. true enough.. the story plot is rather confusing.. It needs alot of imagination to understand the whole story well.. The movie includes much humourous part.. the plot somehow jumps here and there.. and as wat dazzlette said, the part when jay appear have nothing to do with the story.. so ... i muz admit that .. i go to the movie is just to see jay on big screen only... anyway.. the movie also include a number of jay's song..
Sorry if my commend spoil your mood to watch the movie.. but plz support him by watching the movie.. ahah.. thankz :bleh:

dazzlette, posting it here in Concert/Music Discussion & News is fine with me.

I guess your review has further enforced my stance about not going to watch the movie. It isn't about the 1.5/5 rating in some Singapore publication (sorry, I forgot whether it was a newspaper or magazine review).

The script seems weak to me, and the storyline seems to be pretty much non-existent. I guess Jay is going to feel the pressure (with regards to the movie's performance at the box office), especially since he has "lent" his name to the movie title.

That he cameo-ed as himself near the end of the movie was possibly an attempt to perk up the anticipation level of the audience, who are probably lost in the murky shallowness of the script. Whatever the intention, seeing Jay on his big screen debut must already be more than satisfying for those of us who did watch the movie.

I am a huge Jay fan. I totally love Jay....But seriously, the show...sucked. I mean, there was no plot at all and the impression I get was that they were making a show, for the sake of making a show. And they were putting big shot stars (Eason Chen, David Wu, A Niu) for the sake of putting them in.

Sometimes, the show felt rather arthouse-y...but in a lacklustre way. And it was slow.

The only saving grace was probably Jay's appearance. He was HOT...but....honestly, I don't think he acted great (there was some mention of a Golden Horse Award in some other thread right...? I tell you, it's impossible). I mean, he was good, but not great.

In the words of my friend (who had the misfortune of being dragged to watch it with me), "This show is filmed to cheat the money of Jay's fans."

*sigh*....Cost me $7.50. But it's ok, I love Jay still. If I could turn back the hands of time again, I guess I would still watch it. BUT only because of Jay.

Yes..It was kind of exciting at first to watch a movie with people who supports Jie Lun.. When we saw "Special Appearance: Zhou Jie Lun" everyone screamed, so did we at the point when Gui Ji came on, there were lots of Jay in the room, and his appearance for last 5 minutes of the show. Other than those moments, the show totally is =p U will come out of the theatre speechless, with only one thought, "y did Jay agree to take on this movie.. it was a mistake right from the begining.." It is honestly the lan-est movie I've ever watch in my entire life even though I dun reallie want to admit.. Jay made it better, but not enuff to save the movie.. Only Jay's biggest fans should watch it. Otherwise.. not recommended.. So sad to sae... *Plus they totally so spoiled the images of the shuai ges!! Shawn Yue and Daniel Wu..

well, the movie wasn't as good as i had expected to be...i guess those who are not Jay fans , who went to see the movie , may have a bad impression of Jay...anyway, this movie plot isn't well done ... Jay has nothing to do with the plot, thus it is a "special appearance" as pupu is searching for Jay's Hidden Track.

Since this movie is out and we have seen it...we can't argue that it is badly done or whatsoever as Jay is part of it too....
I just hope the next movie "Initial D" will have a better plot and more appearances of Jay in it.

yes~~as much have been said by others....the plot is realli way below standard...my frens and i were so excited to see the movie cos it's jay's debut after all (imagine seeing jay on the BIG screen!) we were not expecting much from the story cos we knew it will be quite lame....but didnt expect it to be THAT lame....still worth it if u are an absolute jay fan...cos Gui Ji was played quite alot of times in the movie!! and yeah....jay is in it!! ( dats the main point ) agree that the movie realli ended too aruptly....my frens and i were still not willing to leave after the lights came on as we were still hoping jay will appear again....(some movies do that...like make pple think that the movie has ended and the actors might suddenly appear again) but....well....he didnt....hahaha....thought when leaving the cinema: WHY did jay ever agree to lend his name foe the movie and to appear in it??!! maybe cos he could write the songs himself?? this remains a mystery to me.... :?

i didnt really like the movie. i think the plot isnt good enough. or maybe cuz we expected a little more since it's got sth to do with jay. the songs in the movie were nice... OF COURSE. haha.. but it's kinda draggy...and as we all kno.. we watch it because we wanna see him and he only appears in the end.. when suddenly..the movie just ENDED. the lights went back on... and my friend and i were like..... 'errr.....'.
HAI. disappointed.
but it was funny how everyone in the cinema actually SCREAMED when he first appeared. hahahaha. thank goodness i didnt. (:
well.. just hoping that his next movie wld be better.. since we'll be seeing more of him in it!! and NOT forgetting...edison chen.. lol

:? I haven't watched the movie yet and I was quite reluctant to watch the show after seeing the trailer... But after reading the comments I don't think I want to watch the show. :) If Jay's appearance has nothing to do with the show... I don't know... Maybe they put Jay there just because he wrote a few songs for the movie... :) Well and I don't think it should have used "Xun Zao Zhou Jie Lun" as the Chinese title.. because it has nothing much to do with Jay (except him writing the songs). So anyway I don't think I'm going to watch this movie just because I'm a Jay fan.

Anyway, I hope the next movie (Initial D) will be much better... :D Because this time Jay will really be acting in it... as the lead actor.. and it's about racing cars... So I'll definetely go watch that one no matter what comments there are.

Haha, thanks guys for making me feel better about not being able to catch the movie!! :bleh:

I did watch part of the "making" of the show, available in the downloads section (or at least the first 9 mins of it since the file was corrupted after that....) and i must say i wasn't very impressed with it. It looked a little strange, and plotless....and judging from the reviews, it seems like the show in its entirety isn't any different from the "trailer" thingy i saw.

I think I would catch the movie anyway, if i could, just to see how the songs tie in with the storyline.... :) I really like Gui Ji and Broken String!

Haiz...i watched the movie yesterday and was quite disappointed...The plot was quite stupid..I only like the songs and the parts where Jay appear...I dun remember hearing duan le de xuan leh...Did u all hear it in the movie? Aniwae, hope that the you all will support jay by just watching the movie even though it is quite boring..at least let it have a decent result as it is jay's first film..

i watched the movie on the first day and i dragged my friend along with me..and i must admit that yeah, the plot isnt all that great, but the scenes with jay in it -- they were worth it!!

the movie..is basically diff perspectives on love, which didnt come out very greatly. cos the whole thing came out kindof flimsy.

but the best parts were when jay came out. the girlfans were going "gasp!" giggle...and then i was seated at the end of my seat and trembling. get this, trembling..lol..and when the movie was over, i talked to a girl next to me. could see that she was equally :excited: as me! yeah, that was the best part of the movie. but shawn yue looked pretty funny in the movie, in the way he dressed..shabbily.

actually Jay looked tensed in the movie... not as natural when he's in MV. I think he is too nervous. I heard comments from some girls sitting behind me in the cinema.. :-x they said,"Aiyo, don't what kind of movie is this... don't even know what they trying to act.." Then i was like  . Sighz.. actually this show really needs lots of imagination to watch... you will know what's the 'thing' they trying to show and tell the audience.

Acting skills for Jay: 65% :worry:
Rating for Hidden Track: 65%
Rating for an abstract movie: 80%
Song for the movie: 100% :yeah:

BTW, I just wanted to add that, I went for the 7.45 pm show at Toa Payoh, on the opening night...And there were less than 15 people in the cinema.

And when they played the mesh of Jay's songs, starting with Ban Shou Ren, a row of guys burst out laughing.

*shakes head*

nunchakus, you went for the 745 show at toa payoh?? my show is at 930 at toa payoh too!! the cinema also less than 15.. mine side only have 10 people.. :? and it's a friday... perharps, not much people watching shows at toa payoh... orchard might have full house?

perharps, not much people watching shows at toa payoh... orchard might have full house?

As far as I know...for GV Cinemas, only Tiong Bahru and Plaza Singapura showing.

Heheh, if you went for the earlier show...we'd probably be very near each other, since...less than 15 people in the cinema!!

Heheh....but I don't know, I kinda feel bad for non-Jay fans who were there. (my poor friend.. )

Oh yes, while surfing the picture gallery, I saw the pic of the many Jays scene. I loved that scene, too bad it was only like 5 seconds long!! I also like the one where he was standing in front of the vending machine...So...alluring.

Lastly, can someone enlighten me on why Pu Pu was dressed in that purple garb in that scene with Jay?? :?

Jam
11-15-2003, 06:07 PM
actually it's funny that he can't get that round shaped titbits from the vending machine... but he really looked very sad and moody.
as for why pupu wear the purple garb, i've no idea... :?
something interesting in the show, the 3rd dog looked soooo cute!! haha that small little one.. it fell down from the stairs when Yu Zai played the classical music.. poorthing!

anyway i like the 3rd dog too.. it was so cute!! i liked it the minute i saw it when it first appeared in the scene where yu zai was eating ice-cream... and the scene with 50 jays? that was quite a shock!! i almost screamed out loud..

Hey guys ... dun brood too much about it. I mean ... in the first place ... we all know that Jay's gonna just do a cameo appearance in the movie, so we should never have set our expectations to see much of him. And as we all should know by now, movie-makers throw in loads of money on advertising through media for movies just to hype things up.

I guess for those of you who went to watch this movie ... it just gives you a stronger urge to wanna catch [Initial D], isn't it? During then ... you can set your eyes for longer scenes of Jay!

ps. I didn't watch the movie, didn't think it was worth it, even though I really think it was a good effort of Jay to step into the movie industry.

oh my, all these comments really made me even more reluctant to watch the movie, actually, i dont know how to say it, i was really hoping that jays debut movie will be unique, something that has to do with instruments ......as he said before he would love to act in a movie which is music associated probably as a pianist, but actually this movie is also very music associated, just that sorry....i m sorta putting this blame into the director, even she directed 12 nights, its wasnt great .....its dull and again the plot doesnt stand out......so when jay decided to cameo in this movie, i really sense that somethings wrong, but jay must be feeling the huge pressure now....i really pity him, the movie does not match up with the standards of the composition he made tailor made for the movie, i mean, gui ji definitely suits some deeper meaning movie......sigh.....anyway, i guess.....jay knows this himself, and just hopefully his nex movie will be great, but the tracks for this movie is ultimately great......gui ji and duan le de xuan is really nice......and i think the part that jay appeared in the movie is whats worth all out support........whatever it is, i think we really should not affect out support for jay just becoz this movie isnt great....i m sure everyone here, will always support jay for his music, and also his next movie by a much acknowledge director tsui hark.....and storyline.....will definitely be a much better exposure for jay in the movie biz.......

The movie was soooo stupid!! But I don't care. Jay made everything worth it.

I was thinking that one of the reasons why he "lent" his name to the movie was not only for publicity but also because he is having a series of concerts in China! Not only does he have CMs now on TV for free (from people doing the movie) but his name is everywhere on the movie posters, as well as the billboards. So now more and more people will be aware of him!! Anyways, whatever the reason, I paid a good 20 yuan to watch the damn movie, and only the last 11 minutes of it or so made it worth my time.

I also got a free promotional CD for his interviews and stuff so that was also worth it.
haha.

And it was such a stupid movie, I wonder why Nicholas agreed to have a cameo in it!? I mean, come on. A 13 year old could read the script and consider it stupid. Why don't they at least revise it or improve it!? Damn HK directors!!

Hmmm actually I have already decided not to watch the movie because Jay only appeared in the movie for 5 mins. Besides that I dont really like the plot. I am waiting for the vcd to come out :wink2: But after reading so much of the reviews, I feel sad for Jay because he is hoping that the movie sales will be good but from the way you all described I dont think so.... I hope Jay will not be disappointed by the poor movie sales... :wink2: because we will still support him no matter how bad this movie is!! Is the Jay's talent and character that attracts us to him

I saw the movie for the 5.30 show in Choa Chu Kang on Monday, and I could count everyone(including myself) in the theatre with my fingers and have spares.

The plot is weak, the storyline is all over the place.... You know, the story is good, but the way of presentation could be better. Reality, then it cuts to the animation all of a sudden, presenting another theme of its own.

The movie wasn't stupid. It was based on the cental theme of roundedness, a rounded love with no edges so it can be perfect. It started with the scene where Pupu asked for a round cake instead of a slice. And then the stewardess adjusting the light so that Pupu could see a full 'moon' though reflection. Then in the fish shop, notice that in the centre of the shop was a round table with round tanks.

To be honest, it really takes a lot to really understand the movie, because, like I said earlier, of the presentation methods. The movie could have just cut to the chase and bring the points smack on the viewers' faces. It'll cut subtlety, which in my opinion, a weak point for most people. And also honestly, I didn't go just to see Jay. I also wanted to see how it links to Jay. No links. There wasn't anything much about him thoughout the entire movie except mentions of his name over and over again. This doesn't help much in promoting him, except the soundtracks of the movie.

One other obvious factor after looking through the rest of this forum is bad publicity. I don't have an impression of an ad on TV for the movie. And with all the people who saw it badmouthing it and saying how it was a moneysucker, it'll just go down. Remember that this movie has Jay's name in it, and would directly affect his career in the long run. If the movie turns out to be a disaster, it's be tougher on him. So is the case for Pupu, another person to debut in a movie.

I bought the EP today. The songs rock.

I caught the movie last night with my sister (who's also a Jay fan) at Shaw's Lido. The theatre was surprisingly filled seeing that it was a Tuesday evening.

I had to post this review after reading the above posts about how crap the movie is, etc. Personally, I didn't think it was that bad. Perhaps I went in with low expectations after reading the reviews on this thread but personally, I found the art direction tastefully done.

In fact, I'm happy that Jay didn't agree to lend his name to a typical love story or a slap-stick comedy type Chinese movie which is very prevalent in the Chinese movie-making industry. I have to say I don't usually pay to watch Chinese movies at the cinema purely for this reason and yes, the main reason I caught Hidden Track is because of Jay. I'm not a arthouse film fan either but I found the movie beautifully shot with an admittingly weak storyline. Sure, there were cheesy bits which made me cringe but overall, I'd say that I pretty much enjoyed the movie.

However, I have to add that I saw no relevance in the last bit when Jay comes on with Pupu in the skimpy waitress uniform. And although I'm a Jay fan, I have to say that although he was supposedly broken hearted (after falling out of love), he didn't look like it ! He just looked like...Jay (unsmiling, don't-give-a-care attitude). But I agree with the vending machine scene. Sheesh, he looked drooolicious there

I'd give the movie a 3.5 / 5. The extra 0.5 purely just for seeing Jay on the HUGE screen upclose.

hi ene, oh finally there is someone who sort of enjoyed the movie......i was kinda sad reading all the comments of how crappy the movie was though i think the movie was admittedly quite weak in plot.....and hav u guys read about the latest news on his shanghai concert??? it seems that the tics arent selling well?? do u all think it has any connection with the responce towards this movie????since the movie isnt all that interesting and.....JAY's name is used as the title.....well, i really dont know......if jay ever knew that the movie will affect his music, i think he wont risk lending his name, we all know how hard jay built up his own career......and i definitely dont hope that anything like this will affect his music career.....

hey everyone,
i feel bad from reading all the posts saying the movie is poo. i feel really sorry for Jay, especailly cos it's his first time to appear on the big screen, he must of put alot of effort into it, bless him
Hm..his tickets aren't selling well?? i think its because of the movie too, people think the movie is crap, then they'll probably think the concert wont be good either, but wont the Jay fans go support him? if i could, i would!!

Does anyone know if there is gonna be a VCD coming out in HK? cos i live in UK, so i'd have no chance seeing it here. so i hav to ask a relative from HK to buy my Jay stuffs.

Well Jay will be in the initial d movie, so that should make everything a lot better in the long run.

I got a free promotional CD just because I went to go watch the movie in the theatre. It has the making of and interivews with everyone. I think I'm starting to get the hots for Shawn Yue as well. haha.

Well, that's what most people did. His fans went to see the movie. If it wasn't for his fans, they'd have probably pulled the movie out of the theatres by now. I went on the opening day and only 3 other people were watching it with me.

but i also watched some movie like what you guys have been said...bored, no plot, only the name of big stars...will jay regret that he already play, write and lend his name to this movie?

I don't think he'll regret it because he got some acting experience which is what he wanted. I think he'll be disappointed, though.

Ok, the movie wasnt great... I thought it was pretty boring, but thats because I dont like romance genre movie in general. But then again, it was CRAP either, I've seen much worse before. Some parts were a little funny at least.

I think most people here think its bad because it has jay in it, so they expect it to be out of this word. But then they see it's an ordinary movie which doesnt live up to their high expectations, so they're disappointed. I just hope that the ratings of this movie doesnt affect any future movie he might do, which might actually be good.

My fav. parts would have to be those cartoon parts (They're so cool), and the last part with jay and pupu in the skimpy waitress uniform

Chun Li
11-23-2003, 03:12 PM
The waitress uniform was cute, and I thought that was when she looked the prettiest. That was also my favorite part of the film, of course because Jay was in it.

Anyways, how about a discussion about the WORST parts of the movie? (Since we all know the best part is when Jay showed up).

As for me, I thought the part with the guy rolling around as a ball with his body was the most gayest thing in the entire planet.

i_am_jay_oriented
11-23-2003, 04:55 PM
oh you mean eason? hahah.. yeah, and pupu seemed so interested in it.. well, frankly, the movie wasn't that bad to me, maybe it's due to the fact that i seldom watch movies, so i can't really judge... no bad parts, no good parts(except when jay appeared)...

Chun Li
11-24-2003, 02:49 AM
I think Eason is kinda ugly. But I don't listen to his music or watch his interviews so I know nothing about him. He's just not attractive to me, though. But that body rolling around as a ball thing really really annoys me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (It wasn't really him doing it of course).

hmm.. i went to watch it with mushy and 2 of our friends on a friday at Jurong East Shaw. there is really not a crowd, its not even half full.

But, i still enjoy the show. although there is not a strong plot, i think it is funny enough for us to enjoy it. the animations add humor to the show.

the concept builds on pupu who lost her love, and she looks to round things as being perfect, flawless, a meaning of "yuan man". and with shawn who lost his dog, and began to ponder about what other things would not die. then he started to keep a tortoise, and plant a "tie shu". but even the plant eventually "died". i interpret it as he is finding something that can fill his emptiness in life, something that is long lasting (but in fact there is none). and with pupu searching for the Hidden Track, its like she's also finding something to ease her emptiness. but in the process of finding Jay's hidden track, she got to know shawn, and realise that shawn is in fact the one who can ease that emptiness. so both of them found each other.

its only the last ending part that Jay comes in, with pupu as the waitress that doesnt seem to link. but still, Jay is so CUTE! :excited: i think the round ear ring caught his eyes, its like what pupu has interpreted the meaning of roundness. when he ate it, he said "tian de" (its sweet), ah... it sound so cute!! :D its sweet cos its perfect and flawless.

actually i think there is some meaning to the movie just that we have to use a bit of our imagination, its like an abstract painting. and how we interpret it, i think its all up to us. :)

As for me, I thought the part with the guy rolling around as a ball with his body was the most gayest thing in the entire planet.

when it came to that part when i watched the movie.. the 2 girls next to me commented very loudly that it looked damn fake.. and yup i didn't like that part either... actually i didn't like most of the movie.. i was bored within the first 15 mins really.. and i think shawn looked really bad throughout the whole movie.. i was suffering cos i couldn't really bear to see shawn look so bad... i actually think pupu is quite pretty.. as in she looked good for most of the show.. except the waitress part.. (i didn't like her hair in that scene!)

i've seen the movie but i dont understand it cuz first of all, i dont speak chinese. i also dont know any of the other stars in the film except for jay.

so here's my unbiased opinion....

i think there are a lot of retarded characters in the film. especially that guy who lives in that white house and pupu visits him often. that guy!

and pupu, she acts like she's in a daze most of the time. maybe it's because she's sad because of the break up.

to those who want to watch the movie just to support jay's debut.....you can expect a nice nap, with jay's songs playing in the background. but just be sure to be awake at the end so u wont miss his cameo. :wink2:

i saw the movie in hng kong - day show on 2nd day of premier - about 20 ppl then - a few left half way during the movie . this movie is slow and abstract but have it's funny moments . so happy to hear jay's music throughout the movie . jay's cameo apperance is really too abstract to understand - seem more like a cahnce to bring in jay's fans . i think in hind-sight , jay should be invloved only with the movie's music and wait for inital d role's for his big screen debut- a more worthy project . frankly i went because of jay but - the movie is not a total flop - i have seen worse .

FINALLY, i saw the movie (been waiting for it to be released here)! :excited: ... AND JAY DID NOT APPEAR ON SCREEN FOR 5 MINS! ... that was such a lie  ... at most, it was probably 3 mins... the plot was kind of weird and the characters were even weirder... in my opinion, it's not as boing as 12 nights... but this movie was so short... i was hoping to see Jay for a full 5 mins... i was really surprised to see the multi-Jay shot... i wonder how long it took to shoot that scene... i like the animation also... much to think about after watching this movie... i don't get Jay's appearance and Pupu being the waitress at the end... does she play another character?... those cakes look delicious... no wonder Jay can't help but eat the whole thing after shooting.

honestly, i thought the movie was a waste!!! if its titled search of Jay chou then it should be good & directed well! but in my oppinion at the beginning i thought it would've been good, because it was funny in the beginning with shaun Yue but then i was wrong.. ended up to be the most "waste of time" movie at alll!!!!!! so dissapponting!! xpt the part where jay was kicking the machine since he didn't get what he wants.. he was cute there! It ended so suddenly too~ no afterall this was a poorly done movie .. they had to fix the plot! I'm looking forward to Initial D a whOLe LOT! but now they are delaying it??

Nah.. the plot was very good! It's just like another Lit play with deep meanings under the surface of the whole movie. It shows different perspective of love by different pple of course. I dont really understand Jay's part too. My friend explained it to me but somehow i forgot. Perhaps it's to show how any other person would react after a breakup ba.

Haha, the other day i was watching with 2 of my friends. Tt was like my 2nd time. One was falling asleep. The other was so engrossed with the show. She loved the plot cuz it's just so deep and meaningful. -shrugs-

actually it's just about finding 'jay' the first album of jay chou.

CuZ it is said that after all the songs, there is the 'hidden track' which only starts playing after i think ten minutes when the whole album finishes..

so this girl got to noe of this song becuZ of her lover, then everytime they 'do' it, they will play that song.

So she broke up from her boyfriend, and she tries to find that cd to find dat song. But in the end, she met shawn yue, and they fell in love, so she did not care about the cd anymore, cuZ she loved someone else, instead of the old lover, so no point finding the cd anymore ma..

and in the end jay chou appeared bcuz he was 'ditched' or say, shi lian...

i watched it just then^____^ i was soo excited..buh the first half just totally confused me...like..flashes of cartoons and it has this theme of the shape 'round'...but eason chan and shawn yue and daniel wu and heaps of other ppl were reallllly funny! =D

Its just this girl called Popo trying to find this particular song (gui ji)...but its 'hidden' in the 'track' therefore hard to find..she meets shawn yue on the journey and many other ppl..and finds out how they see love...she tries to copy them so that her heart wont break...then she falls in love with shawn yue blahblah...

the best part was the end 10mins...starring jay!! he is sooooo cute! i dont think he was acting at all..i think he was just being himself....the way he speaks..well i guess he was meant to act liek himself...=.=" oh wellz..its a confusing movie but its all good! id give it 8/10 XD

i totally agree with that, muzikanjel!! :D when he talked during the last part of the movie, it's like how most of my guy taiwanese classmates at school would talk like...just the normal, usual, quite monotone way...haha...i think for his first time in acting, he didn't really portray his character very well...he's still better as a singer than an actor...i believe music is his passion so he's better off sticking to that...po po was actually pretty good in it though.

my rating of the movie: 6/10 [it bored me a bit on some parts...]

wow! i'm a bit late but i recently watched it on vcd. I honestly think it was not a good movie. First of all, i thought that the storyline was not great. By the end of the moie i thought the storyline was different waiz of experiencing love. Jay went on the last 3 minutes literally. I herd that the director said he wasn't a good actor... but i'm not sure on wot basis he can base this on. He only went on for 3 minutes! i just seroiusly hope jay does well in initial d!

I bought 'Hidden Track' on dvd when i went bakc to shanghai this summer and it was a great disappointment. i couldn't believe jay was in the last, what, five minutes of it and that was it. THE MOVIE IS NAMED AFTER HIM, 4 GOODNESS' SAKE! i also didn't get the last part when he apparently had broken up with his girlfriend and wanted to eat the waitress girl's earring! that was weird!!! the part when the machine gave him everything except the lolly thingy he wanted was funny though. I encourage anybody who goes bakc 2 china or has access to this movie not waste their money buying it, it's a waste of time. or on the other hand, u could just fast forward to the last five mins and get a glimpse of our guy jay! :bleh:
