2nd Korea Concert News

A Concert with 12,000 Fans,

The concert kick off with "The Way You Are" with the concept of "Million Man". Followed by "Rising Sun" etc. They performed an alternate "Miduhyo" which sizzle the crowd, then there is "You Are My Miracle".

Xiah imitated a popular quote of "GAG Night", "PEACE" to bribe the audience. (not very sure what is this ) His solo was brillant. He had performed his self composed song, "My Page" for the 1st time.

Micky performed Brain Kelly Mcknight's "One Last Cry"

Uknow Performed his self composed "Spokesman"

Max performed Extreme's "When I First Kiss You"

Hero performed FLOWER's "Crying"

After 'O' and 'Remember'. 'Balloon', 'Fool', 'Hug' ends the 2hrs concert. Performing from the height of 17m, using cars and aeroplanes as props together with LED stage effect are the many focal points.

Sudden change of the stage into a big ocean (special effect) to save the girl who fell into the sea, surprise the audience. Last performance of "balloon" - Appeared on a plane -> Climax of the concert.

Dong Bang Shin Ki, starts Asia Tour with Seoul Perfomance


The group Dong Bang Shin Ki which collected most of the music awards at the end of last yeara will start their second Asia Tour following their first last year.

Dong Bang Shin Ki held their Seoul concert under the title of 'The 2nd Asia Tour Concert "O"' on the 23rd for two years starting at 7pm.

Dong Bang Shin Ki will hold concerts for three days until the 25th in Seoul followed by concerts in seven cities in Asia including Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong, and Bangkok later thi syear. Prior to the Asia tour, they will release their 2nd Japanese album 'Five in the Black' in May and embark on a concert tour throughout Japan.

1,500 fans from eight countries attended the event in Seoul, once again showing their popularity in the Asia region. Including these fans, 12,000 or so fans attended the performance cheering for Dong Bang Shin Ki.

A total of 24 songs were performed including their title song of their third album and other hit songs. During the performance of 'Tri-angle,' Jang Ri In, the Chinese singer of the same agency also came on stage gathering attention.

Dong Bang Shin Ki hosted a dynamic performance including wire action 17 meters above the ground, as well as, using cars and airplane props throughout the concert. A total of 1.6 billion Korean won was invested in the concert.

The following is a question and answer interview.

Feelings regarding your second Asia tour?
- There wasn't much time to practice as we were going back and forth between Japan and Korea, but we put our best into it. (Choi Kang Chang Min)
- Last year, I wasn't able to do the same performances as the other four as I was injured, so I believe there is meaning put in the fact that all five of us will be dancing together on stage. (Young Woong Jae Joong)

Anything special prepared for the concert?
- We prepared some of the songs in an acoustic version. It will be a stage of lovable charm and charisma together. (U-know Yun Ho)

What were some of the obstacles in preparing for the concert?
- We concurrently did promotions in Korea and Japan. When performing in Japan, it gets confusing as the language and the songs we sang were different. (Young Woong Jae Joong)

How do you calm your nervousness before a performance?
- I feel as if my teeth are going to fall out when I am nervous. I drink water or rinse my mouth by gargling to calm myself. (Xiah Jun Su)
- Before we go on stage, the members always say 'fighting' in that country's language. I do things such as praying in my own way to calm myself. (U-know Yun Ho)

yeah, the couplings can only go so far before they get really nasty (like those creepy fanfics) and SM was only adding fuel to the whole Jaeho pairing thing with the 'Dangerous Love' bunjun drama :thumbsdo:

Charmy, I hate fancams and fan recorded audios too but those are the only ways to get to see the boys' solo performance :oops: Some fancams are pretty good! The Joongie's solo clip from Daum is pretty clear and not much shaking and fans' screamings in the background :-)

K I'm not nearly that good. I don't have any dancing background. Took me several months of picking up bits and pieces from tons and tons of performances. Some of the moves are pretty hard to time...Changmin's especially. The chorus took me FOREVER because I couldn't synchronise the footwork with the armwork. It's fun though after you master it...I get the urge to just get up and do the moves everytime they perform.

None of the new songs were very impressive to me. Although my jaw fell to the floor when I realised that they let Yunho lead Yakusoku. That boy has inproved his vocals IMMENSELY.
The songs aren't spectacular, and none of them are really memorable...which is a bit of a disppointment for me.

they kinda suck to be honest... well, nothing to go gaga over because they are nothing special. More like b-side tracks to 'accompany' their songs from singles they've released. disappointed, really disappointed. The only song that barely goes near the quality of deserving to be on the album, that wasn't released as a single, is Hello Again. Maybe I'm just not a fan of this new genre, I prefer Heart, Mind and Soul.

Some of K-pop's most popular idol groups TVXQ, Super Junior and Big Bang are to hold concerts that will surely delight their young, mostly female, fans this coming summer.

S.M. Entertainment is gathering its top stars TVXQ, Super Junior, Kangta, Jang Ri-in and Cheong Sang Ji Hee The Grace for the ``SM Town Summer Concert" on June 30 and July 1 at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena, Olympic Park in southern Seoul.

The concert will coincide with the release of the annual SM Town summer vacation album, which features songs from all the artists. However, S.M. Entertainment's biggest female star BoA is not in the line-up.

TVXQ, composed of Yunho, Hero, Max, Micky and Xiah, is one of the most popular boy bands in the country and around Asia. Since their concert in February, TVXQ has been absent from the local music scene. Known as Tohoshinki in Japan, the group is currently in the midst of their Japanese concert tour.

Super Junior, another popular boy band, is making a comeback after a car accident injured four of its members last month. Composed of 13 members, Super Junior also has sub-groups such as the R&B trio K.R.Y. and trot group Super Junior T.

Kangta, former member of the boy band H.O.T., has recently been concentrating more on his singing and acting career around Asia. He has starred in a Chinese drama, and last year, he formed a duo with Taiwanese singer Vanness Wu.

Cheong Sang Ji Hee The Grace, a girl group composed of Dana, Jin Bo-ra, Lee Ji-yeon and Stephanie Kim, recently released their first album ``One More Time, Okay?''

Jang Ri-in is the first female Chinese solo singer in the local music industry, and has released her single ``Timeless."

Meanwhile, hip-hop group Big Bang is also holding their ``Want You" concert tour starting July 15. The concert will be held at the KBS Changwon Hall in Yeoido, Seoul.

As for the new Yakusoku mix, it's a very different feel from the original song - more relaxed and 'intimate' kinda because of the instruments they used. I like it :happy:

DBSG to Hold Concert in Taiwan; Fans Line Up for 10 Days, Invites Super Junior?

Korea's top idol boy band "Dong Bang Shin Gi" (TVXQ) will hold a concert in Taiwan on October 5 and 6 of this year. Fans line up early in the morning to get the tickets. According to results from yesterday's sale, over 6000 tickets were gone within three hours. Because Japanese boy band NewS is also having a concert on October 6 in the Taipei Arena, TVXQ refuses to admit defeat and is planning to invite their fellow SM juniors, SUPER JUNIOR, to be their concert guests.

TVXQ's world tour concert will take place in Taiwan at the Chungshan Soccer Stadium in Taipei. Fans were already lining up to get the tickets 10 days prior to the official release. However, because the Chungshan Soccer Stadium had just finished holding a major soccer event, fans were forbidden to line up outside the stadium. Fans had no choice but to disperse and to line up all over again. There were also fights within fans for cutting in lines, but all the conflicts were resolved peacefully.

Yesterday was the first sale and there was already a long line of fans. There was also a pregnant woman of five months lining up along the rest. Some fans even flew to Tokyo, Japan three days ago to meet TVXQ at a signing event and then quickly flew back to Taiwan and lined up to buy the tickets.

Because on October 6, 7 Japanese boy band NewS will also be holding their concert in Taipei simultaneously with TVXQ, fans of both parties will definitely be tight with each other. Because both boy bands have contracts with Avex, thus in the same family, fans do not want to be too harsh with each other. Fans of both groups have even decided that they will watch TVXQ's concert first, and then watch NewS the night after.

Yep, it's been confirmed last month, 15 and 16 December. The most expensive ticket will cost around RM400-RM500. XD

I watched shine pv and I love with the choreography and the individual-water-dance-slow-mo shots. The PV has faint traces of Suju's U. I'm not crazy about the song but they all look classy in it. My fave was when they did the baby talk. When Chunnie did his and the other two did the fan screaming thing... that really crack me up! The ending made me wanna get them as my babysitter, haha.The toho-psychology was spot on for our dolphin!!!! I love all their corners!

It is exam season in Malaysia during that time and many of the quintet's fans will not be able to attend the concert.

The exams aren’t your usual end-of-the-year tests where you can just skip it, but the SPM and STPM are government exams local students need to take in order to obtain entry into university or college.

The petition requests that the organisers push the date back a week or two and 3,000 signatures are needed in order to persuade the organisers.

I'm so totally in love with Forever Love. I actually listened to the whole song first, then watched the PV. Somehow the song gave me goosebumps, and their vocals really carry the emotions of the song well. Yunho improved a lot! SEOUL (Reuters Life!) - Backed by legions of teenage girls and middle-aged Japanese women old enough to be their mothers, South Korean boy band TVXQ is looking to conquer Asia.

The five-member group whose bubble gum pop tunes and glitzy dance steps are reminiscent of Backstreet Boys are among the top music sellers in South Korea, and they have also posted strong sales of 13 singles in Japan.
"We definitely want to perform in bigger parts of the world, in Europe and Northeast Asia, eventually. But now, we want to be on top of Asia," said the band's frontman who goes by the name of U-know Yunho before a sold-out concert in Seoul at the weekend.

South Korean boy bands have a history of burning hot and bright at home and finding fans across due to the inroads made by Korean pop stars such as the artist known as Rain.

However, unlike other parts of the world where boy bands die out as their popularity wanes and the members become older, South Korean boy bands often fall apart when their members are called in for the country's mandatory military service.

TVXQ, which is an abbreviation for what can be translated in Korean as "the gods will rise from the East", was formed three years ago. It has set a frantic pace for itself to make the most of its time in the spotlight.
Its members are between the ages of 19 and 21, and will likely start being called in for military service in the next year or two.

It took four hours for the group to sell out 33,000 seats for a series of concerts in Seoul, its management company SM Entertainment said.

The group is in the middle of its second Asian tour, playing Taipei this month. They will perform in Malaysia, Thailand, Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai in the coming months.

TVXQ has done well in Asia's biggest music market of Japan. It latest single "Summer" has climbed to the top slots of the Japanese charts.

TVXQ also has a following among Japanese 40-something housewives, who are fascinated by the band's fresh and boyish image. Many flew to South Korea for the concerts at the weekend.

"They are so cute and charismatic," said Hiromi Iino, a 40 year-old Japanese woman from Fukuoka.

hello i finally had time to post here~

i have been fortunate to go to tvxq's seoul encore concert. :D i think it was destined for me to see dong bang shin gi, everything seemed pre destined for me the moment SM announced the concert on the same week i was in korea :D

there i got to meet mish. it was our cheot mannam even though we came from the same country and have known each other for years already. :D haha. it's quite magical meeting people. i got to meet jecka and tes in seoul too.

it's been an awesome experience. i got to watch all three concerts with luck. TT looking back, i can't believe all of it.

I went to their concert at malaysia last Saturday (actually i only accompany my younger sister & i'm not really dbsk fans :sweat:) and i bought the tickets on the spot & i got second row seats!! Right hand side since my sis likes changmin and jeajoong

Comments on my seating zone:
I bought Rm283 which comsidered cheap tickets but i'm so surprise that the organizers upgraded all the RM283 seats into same high as the stage! Man...they even changed the stage the design. HUGE!!
I <33 it since i see the boys clearly without standing for few hours and packed like sardine!! The stage like 3-4 tables away from me!! Unfortunately i didnt bring camera

Comments on the boys:

JJ: He was the first boy walked near my side. Everyone screams like idiots & i was laughing (i'm pretty sure all the girls at my area LOVE him). Imagine he really standing in front of you & singing. He really a pretty boy from head to toes

Yunho: He loves my side so much since he at the for almost the concert!! I can tell you that he real person looks better than in photos or tv. I started to know why he attracted so many girls heart. He dances in front of me...oppies

Micky: Most hyper on that night and he's really funny and CUTE!! OMG... he waves and smiles all the time. I got eye contact with him about 5 seconds!! At first i'm not really sure he is looking at me coz that's unbelieveable out of the thousand people and he can spot on you.. then my sis shouted to me he's looking at you + waves *dies* He same as uknow..real person better than in pix

Junsu: He dominated the dancing part for the whole concert since he also performed yunho parts. He is just same as in the photos and such a big kid! No much comment since he less on my side but he really can dance!!

Changmin: He only walked to my side when the concert almost ended and dont even really stand properly...just walked and turn around. I managed to see his half face clear...arrrggg...1 word can descride "handsome"

ranking appearance on my side: yunho, micky, jj, junsu and changmin

Overall, great performance, awasome stage design and main point is i can see them so clear with my ecomonic tickets without being sardine.
First time i feel that RM283 ticket is as worth as RM503 or VVIP since they are so many people on those areas and i know that's tough to see them clearly since the stage at the front is to large plus the 2nd part of the concert, they're walking around the stage.

At last, all the boys came to the end of the stage and said so many things...i can see 5 only them :laughing:

The bad point is....they speak korean and only micky speaks english and i got no time to read the tv texts since busy to see them :D

Dong Bang Shin Ki revives the Hallryu wave and wish to collaborate with Jay Chou

Hallyu swept across Beijing once more. On the 2 Decemeber, Cyworld's public charity event was held at Beijing again, thus they invited popular Korean group Dong Bang Shin Ki.

Their arrival caused fans to chase madly, therefore the press conference was postponed half an hour later. During the press conference, Leader U-Know Yunho represented the group and donated toys, also expressed that they are glad to be able to contribute for the charity event.

Yunho said "It has been a long time since we been to Beijing and we miss our Beijing fans." At the same time they announced that they will hold Beijing and Shanghai concerts in May and June respectively. Early this year, they have start to learn mandarin but because of their busy schedule in Japan, their mandarin proficiency is not good.

Despite their hectic schedule, the five members did not show a slight sign of tireness. Xiah Junsoo and Micky Yoochun talked in whispers, lowered the heads and giggled when the other members were answering question. Thus, the reporter praised their good relationship. Xiah Junsoo joked "We are not familiar to each other, but we are always arranged to sit next to each other. I have no choice" This caused an uproar of laughter. When ask which chinese artiste would they hope to collaborate with, Hero Jaejoong answered, "We admire Jay Chou."
