What songs should I listen to if I never heard any of his music before? So what I'm asking is, a list of recommended songs from him that would capture a new fan. What are they? The names? And why? Thanks in advance.

hahaha...my advice to you would be to listen to all!!!
Every song of his would capture a new fan.

But I enjoy his oldies the most, so go for the Fantasy album.

Addtional to the Fantasy album, try:
~Qian Li Zhe Wai (has a nice aurora)
~Novembers Chopin (has a classic feel to it)
~Ba Wo Hui Lai Le (relates to reality)

Ballads:
Fa Ru Xue (Stil Fantasy) - my favorite. Great style. MV. etc.
Qi Li Xiang (Qi Li Xiang) - my mom loves the instrumental, even though she doeesn't like Jay.
Jie Kou (Qi Li Xiang) - nice/easy lyrics for me to remember
Qian Li Zhi Wai (Still Fantasy) - Fei Yu Qing .. his voice is too nice.
An Jing (Fantasy) - One of his original ballads

Faster songs:
Huo Yuan Jia (Huo Yuan Jia) - Great song. If u dont know lyrics ... juss go with the repetitive part lol.
Jian Dian Ai (Fantasy) - classic?
Si Mian Chu Ge (November's Chopin) - nice beat.
Jiang Jun (Qi Li Xiang) - great beat. i like blasting this pretty loud cause i like the bass from this song.
Huang Jin Jia (New EP for movie) - just heard it. nice blend of rock/chinese.

Good question. I recommend these songs to all non-Jay fans who want to discover his marvelous music. Tried and tested because my friends loved these:

1. Qing Tian (Cloudless Day), from Ye Hui Mei

2. Qi Li Xiang (Common Jasmine Orange), from the album of the same title

3. Jie Kou (Excuse), from Qi Li Xiang

4. Gui Ji (Track), from the Hidden Track EP;

and the song that made me a Jay fan and Jay's biggest hit in the Philippines to date:

Weird enough, my skeptic friend who disses Jay (she's a Jerry Yan fan) even if she's never heard a Jay song before suprisingly liked Lan Se Feng Bao (Blue Storm) the first time she's seen the video on YouTube. And now she's totally in love with that song and partially in love with Jay. :sweat:
