Avril Lavigne met Taiwanese young heavenly king Jay backstage, she immediately put her cool face away, because Jay was talking to her very seriously about music, making her laugh very happily.

Avril held a concert in Singapore and before the concert Taiwanese musical genius Jay went backstage to meet Avril. Jay gave her 2 signed albums, Avril returned the gesture with an album. Jay said smiling that this is the 3rd Avril album he has gotten. The latter 2 were gifts but the 1st was bought by himself personally. Avril heard this and she returned a happy smile.

I am so jealous. If only I can be either one of them. I am a fan of both of them. But I do agree when Avril sings live she goes out of tune. I dunno. Jay likes her maybe because of the same rock effect they have in her songs. And Avril is her own person. So her personality is like known for being a punk.

me too. I like her faster songs like "complicated" and "sk8r boy". but I don't think her latest one is all that great. Frankly, it's awesome that she's writing her own lyrics and all. But her lyrics aren't really deep or really well written, and so I don't think that she's as talented as people make her out to be. But I don't hate her.. she's alright.

I saw the newspaper today, and it said that sum director from BMG acted as their translator...
Jay apparently insisted on speaking Chinese (like he had another choice!) because he felt that he was a Taiwanese representative, y'know, being a presenter at the MTV Asia Awards and all (So. Cute). The article also said that when the BMG translator told Avril that Jay was the 'Asain king of R&B', she looked a little dubious, but was immediately proved wrong when she saw the millions of fans outside cheering for him and screaming his name. ^_^

umm.. ill have to disagree with that... Music is music, there are always both good & bad Western, Asian, Middle eastern music, whatever. Can't compare. Years ago, all we had were cheesy cantopop and mandarin pop idols, until david tao, jay, n other really talented pple came aboard. N there are a lot of great western music out there too. I was thinking 'christina aguilera' when u said bimbo or slut.. hehe.. but there are Western gems as well, lets not forget them!

Yea yea, they have a translator. And I like Jay b'coz he's so cool, he didn't even try to say hello in English. :D , he's proud of being Chinese and speaking only Chinese (Even though this is not 100% good) but I like him being so cool about it.
