Most Hated...Jay song of the month? (Dec 06)

In the theme of the Winter Games, Anti-X will do something a little...controversial for a Jay forum. Considering the popularity of the "Sell Out Jay" thread, we'll talk about which song of Jay's you are tired of hearing or every time it comes on, you just want to turn it off.

While of course we at JCNET still absolutely love and adore Jay, but there has to be one of his songs that gets on your nerves.

For me, the song is a tie between Blue Storm off the November Chopin album or My Territory off QLX. I would even take a step further and say that all of the slow songs on QLX sounds like Jay is about to die of consumption, but that's a rant for another day.

I don't like Blue Storm because it just sounds like a lot of noise and the video is terrible. I don't mind the style experimention for My Territory, but put together it's a whirlwind of bad music.

Yeah, Blue Storm, along with Duel of Trapped Beasts, are the songs that I never want to be played on my computer and mp3 player. Everytime they do, I just skip it. Not very keen of Double Sabre too, but at least the MV is cool.

Oh i totally agree with the Blue Storm one. it got on my nerves when i just got the album. then it became ALRIGHT. after a while i started to skip that song again. for starters, i just can't stand that sound in the starting. it's like punching numbers on your telephone and i find that it gets irritating. plus. the song sounds really strange. the chorus is like :oops: and the MV is totally :bang:. i laughed my ass off watching that mv. :rolleyes:

i like double sabre but since this is an anti-x thread. i'm not commenting. :D

so i shall talk about. QING TIAN. that song is OVERPLAYED. so very OVERPLAYED. to an extent that i'm so sick of it even though it's still nice. but overplayed. :oops: JIE KOU is also overplayed. during the 'prime' of those two songs, i hear them everywhere. on the tv, on the radio, people's cells going off. OMG :bang:

I dislike Indian Old Bird (Yin Di An Na Lao Ban Jiu), Duel of Trapped Beasts (Kun Shou Zhi Dou), Chaotic Dance Spring Autumn (Luan Wu Chun Qiu), Blue Hurricane (Lan Se Feng Bao), ... can't think of anymore, but these songs on my mp3... when these goes on, I skip on the next one!

I hate when in Indian Old Bird, they go all laughing and the horses and stuff. Then in Duel of Trapped Beast, the song just irritates me, the beat is... uggh! Chaotic Dance Spring Autumn, I don't know why but I don't like it at all, I heard it over a thousand times and I still don't like it. Blue Hurricane is just wow, it starts with creepy stuff, you know church and stuff, and it says Amen all over in the song. Plus, the beat seems wierd, telephone digits touches? ...

I dont really like all the songs from the first CD espeically Indian Old Bird.
One other song i dont really like is "My Territory" from QLX.

for me personally .. i hate wierd music in jay songs.. like the lan se bao feng....and the si mian chu ge...... the camera sounds just kip clicking non stop .. perhaps it's unique but sometimes it really does gets on my nerve.. whereas lan se bao feng is too noisy and it doesn't appeal to my liking at all.

I loved Lan Se Feng Bao.

But I didn't like his songs in 8 Dimensions... espeicially the Orcs. It just got into me and the song sin 8Diemnsions (not including Hui Dao Guo Qu or the Last Battle) were boring. Too much rapping maybe. And also i didn't like Red imitation, Herbalists manual, Qian Li Zhi Wai... hmm actually nearly all the songs in the still fantasy album. The songs in Novembers Chopin, Qi Li Xiang, Fantasy and Ye Hui Mei were MP3 breakers. But my ears just hurted after listening to songs such as Ti Tian

I actually hate Lan Se Feng Bao, Ti Tian and Shuang Dao. I *always* skip them, until today. I hate the tunes and I hate it even more that LSFB was a song for a commercial.

blue storm is the worst, the keypad tones ruin the song, the MV omg, i wonder how come Jay or his manager agree to use the MV, its like an amateur mv. compare with YeQu MV or Fa Ru Xue.. u will ask ur self, who is the director? is the director a fren of Jay or wat? i like the others song dou. oh ya when i 1st time listen to Indian old bird, i skipped it, yet the next time played i tried to listen, n now i found dat the song is quite fun. the territory actually is a nice song, yet.. abit boring.

Okay... Before I go off topic, one of the songs that I can't stand is Romantic Handphone (Lan Man Shou Ji) and Malt Candy (Mai Ya Tang). :oops: My finger will automatically push the 'Forward' button when the two songs come on in my player. :whistle:

Oh... If I am not wrong, Blue Storm MV was directed by Jay... :dry: Though I like the song, I absolutely hate the MV

Sad to say, I do have some songs of Jay I hate.

One would be, like majority of everyone else, Lan Se Feng Bao.
I thought that song was messy and uninspirational.

Didn't like Ban Shou Ren (The Orcs) and Shuang Dao either. The latter especially because it sounded like a lousy sequel to Long Quan.

And I don't like the ballads of his recent albums like Hei Se Mao Yi, Lang Man Shou Ji, Tui Hou, Xin Yu and Bai Se Feng Che because they all sound generic.
Up till now I still cannot remember the melodies of all the ballads from Still Fantasy even though I listened to the disc on repear for an entire month.

I hate "The Orcs" because of that monster sound that comes out of nowhere. o_o It scares me so much. I hate "Hei Se Mao Yi"... it's the boring-est song ever. =/ I also hate "Mai Ya Tang", the song just doesn't sound right to me. No matter how hard I force myself to like it, I still can't stand it. Yeah, I think that's all. =P

Actually, like pet, I like most of the songs that have been mentioned here, like "Blue Storm" and "Ti Tian". But yes, "blue storm" MV was just terrible.

But the songs I absolutely cannot stand are "Grandpa's Tea" and "Mai Ya Tang." I've tried to listen to them before, but I just skip those tracks now. I do agree most of the recent ballads are very generic, but they catch on after a few spins.

I didn't like bai se feng che because I didn't like his vocals in there.
An Hao was a SWEET song but don't u agree that his vocals was a bit messy?
I never touched the Jay Album because I can't stand most of the songs in there.

I never hated Lan Se Feng Bao (in fact I was loving it) until I saw the horrendous MV. Now it's a messy song with a messy mv.

I actually used to really like Blue Storm...I don't know what happened that made me start to skip it halfway and then skip it completely now. I think it's the telephone thing.

I really dislike Nian Zi and Old Indian Turtledove. I think altogether I've heard those two songs a total of no more than 5 times.

I still like My Territory though.

The most songs I don't like reside in Jay's debut album. Some of them are just weird!!

For some reasons, I don't quite like Mai Ya Tang (Malt Candy) and Ti Tian (Rice Fields). The former is like bubblegum leftover and the latter is horrendously chilling because of the weird incantations. I can't stand the 'chanting' part Hoi Ya E Ya na lu wan... When I hear it, I skip to another song 'cause I'm afraid people might think I'm listening to cult music. I'm also afraid that if my friends hear that song they'd be more convinced to thinking that Jay's music is rubbish. Jay Chou is no master of Gregorian chant, duh! :dry:

i wont say Hate but i don't like Mai Ya Tang & Romantic HP. i hate romantic HP MV its so stupid. i love all those songs you all don't like, Shuang Dao, Ban Shou Ren & Lan Se Feng Bao is oK. Whenever i listen to Shuang Dao, i get into e imaginery don mess with me mood. Its very diao! & Ban Shou Ren is very fun to rap to. haha

I hate ni lin. I really do. For whatever unfathomable reason, I can never stand that track. And the MV is baddd as well so that's a double whammy.

Jay is a cutie and a sweety, but I have to do this to him. Okay here I go.

1. Orce(bang shou ren)- I really don't like this song because of the lyrics. I mean the beat is really nice, and I could really find myself dancing to it if I ignored the lyrics. But, the lyrics are quite weird. With curses, and blood, and demons being mentioned. It freaks me out. I dislike anything weird and creeepy. And it didn't help when a weird creature growled in there. What was that?! A monster or something?!


2. Nocturne(Ye Qu)- Another one that is on my, don't listen to list. I mean this starts out right away with the meantion of rotten fleash, and blood, and ants eating it or something. And it gets weirder as the song gose on. A graveyard?! This is the stuff that will really keep me freaked out.

3. Rice Field(ti tian)- It is the chanting that dose it for me too. I mean, that spooks me out. Its like listening to one of those vampire movies.

I'm the kind of person that will fall in love with the beat, but if the lyrics aren't right, I don't want to listen to it. And this is the case with these songs here. It makes me think," What was Jay thinking?" I mean was he depressed, when he wrote about rotten fleash?! I love you Jay, but this is just one thing you have got to fix, baby boy!!

BTW I love romantic cell phone.

I don't really hate any songs from jay, but there's just one song from him that i just can't stand to listen to it at all, which is "Indian Old Bird". The beat and the noise of this song is just plain weird, but it's very brave of jay to try such a different element of music though.

i wish i could say i love all of jays songs, but as a few of you guys said, theres just one that i absolutely will DIE listening to: indian old bird. that song just messed me up, with all the cartoon sound effects and weird tempos it gives me the same reaction as if someone had just clawed a chalkboard :oops:

some other like Niang Zi, Ren Zhe, Dui bu Qi, i feel the beat doesnt really work to create energy. its just not a pretty sound.
and some of his ballads are just soooo sloooooow and they practically have the same im-so-tired sound (fen lie, jie kou, ge qian, feng) i can hardly tell them apart, even though ive been listening to them for months.

Mhmmm... I dislike his first album except "Xing Qing", I started listening when he released his 4th album and when I listened to the former albums I ve got the feelings the songs weren't that good... so lame.

On the second album I don't like "Williams Castle" - such a weird creepy song... however it's childish to sing such a song.

On the third album... the last track about the battle... it's a good idea, but somehow I'm afraid of listening to that song... it's awful LOL i cant describe it.

"Ni ling" on novembers chopin is definetely the song i dislike most on his 6th album. its soooo boring. For "Still Fantasy" it's "Twilight's 7 chapter", his raps sounds ridiculous in the second verse... >< I hate it.

"Blue Storm" was also a song i really disliked. However, i started to like it... (except the awful chorus), the instrumental is so cool in the verses and his voice, anyway I still don't really listen to that song and that phone tunes are annoying...

charlette, if you must know, I like sad songs (or songs that sounds sad), romantic ones and some fast ones. I like Twilight Chapter 7, Qian Li Zhi Wai, Ju Hua Tai, Fearless, Ye Qu, Fa Ru Xue, Black Sweater, Si Man Chu Ge, Piao Yi, Qi Li Xiang, Wai Po, Garden Tour Festival, Youth that Ends War, Broken String, Yi Fu Zhi Ming, Qian Tian, Clock That Turns Backwards ...... etc etc lazy to type now because there's even more that I like. :shiny:

Still Fantasy- Red Imitation.. it has such a bad melody. It's just so annoying to me, like someone repeatedly hitting your head with those, *dooiing doooing* rubber band noises.

Novembers Chopin- Blue Storm, for the 100+nth reasons stated as above.

hehe, i like Ti Tian and the Orcs :) Ti Tian has that melancholy touch (not sure if it's meant to be, but thats how i take it). And, the Orcs just a piece of semi-musical genius!!

I agree... some songs from a few of his last albums are almost repeating the same formula (wai po=ting ma ma de hua / tui hou = jie kou / chapter 27 = wounds of war = yi fu zhi ming, etc.)
Methinks he hasn't been concentrating enough on his music... he's probably trying to branch out, like in acting & stuff....Maybe he needs more time in the studio to really focus or something... Or he needs a new source of inspiration...

Blue Storm was an absolute crap. Though Huo Yuan Jia wasn't so bad even though Jay practically used the former as a template to compose the latter.

Tui Hou, Bai Sei Feng Che and Xin Yu = Generic! Even those ballads in November's Chopin weren't that generic.

I hate all the fast rock chinese songs...Long Quan, Blue Storm, Fearless, but mainly because he looks utterly hideous in the music vids.

currently is Huang Jin Jia. Is not used in the movie curse of the golden flower yet it tries to make itself connected to the movie so that the ep+dvd album can be sold to milk fans' money. in fact this is his worst movie songs that he made. jay, dun be overly commercialised!!!

I actually like "fearless" albeit because of the girly singing part which I found insanely funny *pffffftttt -cracks up- also the mv was pretty cool (of so I thought)

I don't really like "xin yuu" and a lot of his songs actually - his voice is nice, the songs aren't bad, but except for a select few: "ye qu" "feng" "tingmamadehua" "juhuatai" "qianlizhiwai" "fa ru xue" "hei se mao yi" and "ma ya tang" I find the rest boring since they sound the same as each other and all the other songs out there xD at least to my unmusically skilled ears

i hate his new song, Golden Armour. it's like another imitation of Fearless. I CANNOT STAND BLUE STORM LOR. the cellphone beeping part and video is absolutely ridiculous. i would sue the director for making Jay look like an absolute fool. and i loathe The Orcs.. the video's is bad, the chorus cracks me up. Actually when the album November Chopin just released..i hate Blue storm very much for no reason..i even told my friends that this song was badly done because Jay just want to entertain the Pepsi company..lol

But after a few months..this song is repeatly played on tv commercial ..then i found it quite cool and even tried to picked up the rap..lol

Now the most dislike songs to me are "hei se you mo" in Fantasy and "Ju Hua Tai" in the Still fantasy album ..whenever i got those song played..i will just skip it..because i think that they are freakling slow..made me wanna sleep..lol

i dont like his new song golden armour cause the way he sung it and the intro. I also dislike blue storm, that song is so :profanit: but i wouldnt say its like bad music. I also dislike rosemary but the only reason for that cause i find it boring but not everyone thinks its boring right?:wink2:
