yup, Pfleger is something like a nurser. it's usually used as a word component like in "Krankenpfleger", however, and it's derived from the verb "pflegen" (to care, foster, nurse etc.). feel free to ask your teacher, he'll know what it means, if he's german. :wink2:

Umm...wasn't sure where to post this but I was reading the newspaper the other day and I saw that they have a new Euro coin out and it features the comic character Tin Tin and his dog snowy. And I was just wondering whether it was a collectors coin or just a normal coin because I'm a big fan of the comic character. Has anyone seen it?

most european countries use the euro, but not all of them (like switzerland, norway, iceland, uk, and denmark).

I live in a country who hasnt yet joined the Euro..and the majority of people here dont want it, except our Prime Minister seems convinced we should. The only time i used the Euro was on holiday and i still dont know how to convert it..i just handed over the money hehe... :glug:

Although wouldnt things be bad cos people would round up to the next whole number or next 10 when they change prices so the price in Euro would be a decent number? So unless they continued at the original price and paid a funny number of Euros, prices would have changed..and I expect not to benefit the consumer.. :oops:

i think ppl don't want to use the euro in england coz your currency is so high, changing it to the euro might either pull your currency value down, or make the other euro using countries equal to you.....i think. :oops:

talking about euro? well, i would've liked to say smth, but Russian haven't converted its currency into euro, we're still using are old good rubles, haha, so i don't how the situation in the countries that use euro. do u really feel "united" by euro? i never thought that currency could "unite". i think it's just another way of making money!
like in Russia, in our shops everything was either in rubles or in dollars, but now dollars are being changed by euro, but the thing is that euro's rate is much higher than dollars, so naturally the things turn out to be more expensive! and people say that it's not fair, why we should use euro, we always used dollars and everything was alright, but they say that we belong to Europe and that's why should use euro. but come on! neither dollar or euro are Russian currency! well, everybody wants to make money, nothing surprising here, i guess.
so, there's no other way but to accept the current situation, although it really drives me mad sometimes, especially when i buy something and in euro currency it costs much more than in dollars!!!

At first I thought German was not so hard. The only thing to do is just remember the sex of the word - die, der, and das , but when I got to that part that we had to write sentence I was like :crazy: . It is so confusing and difficult. I guessed I might have to live there for like..20 years to master it.

hahah....genau wegen meiner besessenheit werde ich FreaK genannt..haha
ich habe ein paar sachen von yesasia und ein paar sachen habe ich von china und hk, da ich im sommer meine ferien dort mit meiner familie verbracht habe. ich bin aber erst seit 6 monaten oder so edison fan. glaubt man fast gar nicht..hahah
ich muss bald mal meine ganzen edison bilder auf eine cd brennen und absichern. denn falls ich einen bösen virus auf meinem pc hab...dann bring ich mich um!! haha scherz...

Ah, ich glaube, ich habe auch Final Romance irgendwo herumliegen. Aber irgendwie hatte ich bisher keine Zeit, mir den anzuschauen.

Hm, das mit dem Lieber-Nicht-Meine-Monster-Ordner-Oeffnen-Problem hatte ich auch, bis ich irgendwann angefangen habe, alles auf CD zu brennen. Allerdings macht es das nicht besser, weil man danach anfaengt, doppelt und dreifach so viel runterzuladen. Jedenfalls war das bei mir so. :angel:

Oje, da gibt es ziemlich viele. Ich hoere lieber Maenner, weil ich von zu hohen Stimmen (wie das ja nun mal meistens bei Frauen der Fall ist) meistens Ohrenschmerzen kriege. :wacko:

Ich lade allgemein relativ viel runter, z.B. von Wang Leehom, David Tao, Jay und so weiter und so fort... Wenn ich die nicht regelmaessig entmuelle, dann geht da gar nuetschts mehr.
