Ruien is back home to promote her new album after a whirlwind tour of Taiwan. The album is "seriously recommended" by alfa music label mate, jay chou. her easy manner shone through even when she was asked whether critics were justified in saying tht she was riding on the wave of jay's popularity.

The Nanyang Technological U business undergrad said: "it's the plan of the record company. you know, sometimes, you dont have control. im not really bothered lah because i expected ppl to say those things."

wad abt rumours about her linked romantically to jay, who recently held a sold-out concert here? she replied casually: "jay and i arent really close and we barely see each other."

jay's fans had reportedly bought 40000 copies of her album in Taiwan (is it true?) but ruien thinks supporters belong to her fan base. she said cheekiily:" hay's fans hate me. why would they want to buy my album? so they are my fans (tht bought those albums) lah."

yah, saym, its lyk she expected jay's fans to hate her alreadi. Not all of jay's fans hate her tho...i'm not a huge supporter of her, but i dun realli haf nefing dat much against her. Well I would love to listen to her songs, especially since there's the song WHITE FEATHERS on the downloads. So much shame I am not a computer expert I can't even download that song onto Yahoo Breifcase! Will someone please slap me? Gosh. I am such an idiot. Oh well. Back to Ruien. She's cool. Very pretty. I mean she could go for a sister of Jay. Wouldn't you think? I'm sure she's going to be pretty popular soon.

that sounds like the same thing i would do, too. it doesnt necessarily mean that we are her fans. but she's cute, i like her. but then maybe the translation wasnt accurate...or anyway

i like ruien 2... 1st she is from my hometown, 2nd she sings really good.. morever, she is jay's shi mei. she look very pretty 2 me... she is the 2nd singer who i bought the original album without downloading...

i think she's on ok singer.. the style is.. a little similar to jay?.. maybe just a little.. but as for her looks.. i don't think she's thaaat pretty ... but she ain't ugly~

agree w all tt all the comments fm some of Jay's fans are prob a little bit too unfair to her. She seems to be on the rise now. She is quite cool n her voice isn't too bad.

Fm the report, she seems to be quite a tectful speaker as well. Tink she is trying to play dw any hostilities by admiting tt she noes some of Jay's fans does dislike her. Dun tink many celebs will come out n say tt. So guess we have to respect her courage here.

She is still really young and it must be really stressful hving to entertain the media who are constantly on her back for any gossips n stuff. Tink she is coping rather well so we should really all support her.

I DO think that Jay's fame helped RuiEn's popularity rise; I guess she's awful lucky to be on the same label. But the good thing is, I find she she IS a really talented artist. It's SO refreshing to hear a new voice out there, one that doesn't fall under the typical innocent, cute, defenseless, high-pitched, too-too-feminine category.
No offence, to Jolin, Valen, Joey Yung, etc.. they're all great and a LOT better than me, that's for sure, but they all sound alike.
