Yahoo Messenger 8

I downloaded Yahoo Messenger 8 today...

After downloading it, I have problem with my Windows Explorer. When I opened My Document, and I clicked on a folder, it can't be opened. I can't remember what it said (system malfunction or something. or it might be something else), since I was so pissed off and I did a system restore right then and there.:-x

I'm 100% sure it was resulted from Yahoo Messenger. Thats the only thing I did after I turn on my notebook.

The same thing happened to my sis. and it happened twice.

Anyone knows what exactly happened?

Does this happened to someone else too?

Hmmm kinda strange did you download from a clean source and final build? I think i've seen some betas which could have bugs ont them.

8.1 is the current version, so I think betas would be hidden away or something.

I'm not sure what the problem unless there's more detail. Hard to tell because many things could've prevented the document from opening, not only Yahoo Messenger.

I don't use Yahoo Messenger, so I can't be much of a help on that.

Yeah, it was strange, I downloaded it from Yahoo itself.

I've been using Yahoo Messenger forever and this is the first time it happens.

If you really need to use Yahoo Mesenger, it might be good to revert back to an older version. New products take some time to get patched and fixed. And sometimes Yaho responds slow, which applies to others also.
