I ran a serch and no one came up with this topic either, so I decided to post it.

When it comes to science vs logic, people have a different view. Logic is good for alot of different circumstances. And Science can be good for certain circumstances as well. But when it comes down to it, Science and Logic tend to clash. Science cannot find solutions to everything, and Logic tends to rule in my book. At imes it can be confusing as to wich one is better. But for me, Lgoic reigns surpreme. What do you think?! Which is better, Logic or Science?!

I prefer wisdom, which would lean more to the logic side. Wisdom is knowledge of what is right coupled with just judgment. It's kinda like morals and philosophy.
I value this because not everyone can obtain wisdom. It's easy to have logic and science, but wisdom is learned, not taught or given or recieved.

"To understand reality is not the same as to know about outward events. It is to perceive the essential nature of things. The best-informed man is not necessarily the wisest. Indeed there is a danger that precisely in the multiplicity of his knowledge he will lose sight of what is essential. But on the other hand, knowledge of an apparently trivial detail quite often makes it possible to see into the depth of things. And so the wise man will seek to acquire the best possible knowledge about events, but always without becoming dependent upon this knowledge. To recognize the significant in the factual is wisdom."

The first post just doesn't provide enough to spark debate of any sort.

Can you please define the terms Logic? That will at least set the sort of boundaries. If you are not aware, logic covers a pretty wide scope of things and some of them ARE in the field of science.

Without a proper definition/introduction to the topic at hand, you've only rendered your thread illogical, and that's an ironical... at least it is here.

...ok if you're talking about science versus logic it doesn't really make sense considering what you're saying is that science is not logical.
but there are many people, myself included, who would argue that science IS logical and driven primilarily by logic as opposed to other disciplines.

and like lattae said...you have to define what logic is.
logic encompasses many, many aspects of our education and our interactions with the world, so in a sense, science would have to be governed by logic.

rephrase and reedit your question please.
