My favourite songs of Jay has been always the chinese-style (zhong guo feng) songs.
Now Jay has a wide collection of these very special songs with always very complicated lyrics:D


So here's my poll for all "zhong guo feng" fans:tongue:
Which chinese-style song do you like the most:

i think fa ru xue(hair like snow) is the best. maybe because of i saw him live singing this song. to tell the truth, i like those chinese-style song. but not too oldies. so it's kinda hard for me to choose.

I like Dong Feng Po... but I have voted for Fearless... donno y... both of the song are very good... maybe Fearless is a fast track and Dong Feng Po is a slow track... ;)

Fearless is really a new style of music. I was shock when I watch Huo Yuan Jian at the cinema to see the vibrant chinese style and so diao. I caught me off guard and is a remarkable sound track.

fa ru xue is such a beautiful song. i like every single part of it. even though i'm not asian, i really enjoy the "zhong guo feng" kind of songs. fearless was a close second because it's just really fun and diao. dong feng po & qian li zhi wai are pretty too, but you can't beat fa ru xue.

i love love love fa ru xue, it really is a beautiful song. it has such a soothing melancholic tone to it, i love singing/hearing it. i feel like its the kind that tugs at heart strings

Dong Feng Po, for sure. The melody is the most pleasing to the ears, at least to me. It's such a beautiful song (I love the MV, too). I wasn't really impressed by Fa Ru Xue. I thought it was so generic by Jay Chou's standards.

Am I gonna get bashed, or what? Oh, well. That's just how I feel.

I fell in love with the song when I first hear it.
And I love the MV too and moreover its one of the MVs that Jay first directed.

I dont like zhong guo feng. it's sound so old. i prefer his pop and r&b or ballad.
But if i have to choose, maybe huo yuan zia is my favourite.

Everybody say that fa ru xue is jay's zhong guo feng masterpiece, i still cant like it.

I love the song Fearless... It is strong in Chinese style(Zhong Guo Feng) and its a fast RnB song... It blends very well... Jay is so Creative!!

Oh no how can you leave out Ju Hua Tai?? It's such a beautiful & characteristic zhong guo feng song! haha... I like it a lot! But I like Dong Feng Po too. Very Jay-ish. Love the Erhu part. I used to love Fa Ru Xue, but listening to too many times made me a little sick of it...Yap maybe cos it sounds too generic haha..

I Agree!! "Ju Hua Tai" is amazing, but from the list that we're asked to choose from, I'm gonna have to go with "Fa Ru Xue". Such an beautiful combo of lyrics and music. After a while, I got a lil sick of it too, but I listened to it again recently and it's stuck in my head! I also really like "Huo Yuan Jia", but the electric guitar/bass in it is totally unnecessary. It ruined what I thought was Jay's best Eastern/hip-hop blend by trying to be edgy and rock-and-roll at the same time...

Wow that was pretty hard to pick just one, but I eventually ended up chossing 'Hair Like Snow' in the end, just because.. well I dunno why it's my favorite Chinese-style song, I just like it.. :oops:

My two favorite songs of the ones listed were Hair like Snow and Faraway. Hair Like Snow is more of a mix I think of a chinese feel and a little integration of western music. Faraway mostly gives out the chinese feel to it, which I love as well. It reminds me of older songs, and I love Fei Yu Xing too!!! He was one of my favorites when I was younger. But I voted for Hair Like Snow. Wins by an inch!

I love Faraway. OK, I must admit that the MV made me cry the first time I watched it. But the duet and then that amazing breakdown partway through the song (so R&B awesome) really makes it so great--really merging Chinese style with hip hop influences.

Jay's song are all chinese, just that some has more chinese element and feel to them.. Haha, all of them are nice but i still prefer the rap, pop type of songs that he wrote and sung..

definitely hair like snow for me, such an awesome song from his previous album also probably one of my top 3 jay songs. it has a good beat to it and the rap in the middle sounds realli awesome, i reckon its a great song to sing at karaoke

Ju Hua Tai!!! Though I voted for Dong Feng Po coz i luuurved the erhu part and couldnt stop listening to it. Am i weird? coz Fa Ru Xue and Qian Li Zhi Wai are not super fantasic to me haahaa.

I voted for hair like snow because i've memorised the lyrics to that song and i love listening to it the most. But then I remembered chrysanthemum flower bed or ju hua tai... lol, its a new favorite of mine =) Such a soothing song and poetic lyrics.

I never did like dong feng po as much as other fans did. I always thought it was too boring, kind of lullaby-ish. I like fa ru xue and qian li zhi wai tho. But I'm surprised that shuang jie kun's not included in the list. I thought it was like one of Jay's most classic zhong guo feng songs. :)

okay I chose Dong Feng Po for several reasons. It was his first one, and it was a pleasant surprise for me when I first heard it. What touched me the most was the simplicity of it, and the fact that the PiPa and the Erhu were blended very nicely together.

My second favourite is a tie between Fa Ru Xue and Qi Li Xiang. I thought Vincent did an insane job with the lyrics of both those songs...Fa Ru Xue was so well-written and the language was absolutely beautiful. The Qi Li Xiang poem lacks the sophistication of Fa Ru Xue but the lyrics worked very well with the musical arrangment.

i pesonally think qian li zhi wai and ju hua tai from the current album is the best. these are my fav. styles of jay's and those two songs are just so so so pretty!!!!
