Jay: feel really ashamed whenever i talk about this, i'm all grown up but still had to ask grandma for money, and had grandma all worried that i don't have enough money, just really embarrassing!
i rarely have money on me, since whenever i go out there's always company staff around. that day i'd finished work and it was right at lunch time, and i wanted to have 'lu rou' with rice. so i ordered that with a soup to take-out. when it was ready, my colleague realised she had actually forgotten to bring her wallet, and i, as a matter of course, didn't have money on me. the shopowner saw me, smiled and said, 'well then, i'll treat it for zhou jie lun!'. when i heard that i couldn't accept it even more. i'm not relying on 'zhou jie lun' these three words and a face to get things for free. since grandma's place is closeby, and so i called for help !
when grandma heard that, she, without saying more, immediately sent my cousin to bring the money over, and even asked me with concern, 'only borrowing 500 is that enough ? do you want more?'...heavens, i'm all grown up now and still had to have my grandma worried about me, afraid that i don't have enough money, really felt that i've let her down somehow..it's not that i don't have enough money, the money i'd earned from my songs' royalty i'd given all to mother to manage. i just don't have the habit of carrying money when i go out. but grandma thought the money i earned is not enough for me to use, just felt really embarrassed and ashamed about it !
