I for one think Rainie is absolutely adorable, but her songs make me want to tear my hair out because it's just SO SUGARY SWEET. I hate the way she sings with this high, soft, nasally and somewhat flat voice. I hate her voice overall when she's trying to sing.

I used to like watching her hosting with Jacky Wu and A-Ya. She was a nice, sweet girl and all but I think she got a little influenced by A-Ya? She acts kind of crazy and funny like A-Ya nowadays compared to last time but in an unnatural way. They don't make sense to me.

Her songs are very nice but she's holding her voice too much she sounds so breathless and helpless when singing. I feel suffocated when listening to her.

Overall, I don't really hate her to the core. Just that the changes in her nowadays are making her annoying.

I think it would be better if she actually stops trying to be cute. She can be cute without making all those annoying sounds.

Her album was an instant hit - Ai Mei. So many people sung it in KTV and bought it. She thought she was so successful and quickly went to make another album. When that album came out, no one bought it. People who only depend on their looks to become popular would definately die down pretty fast.

It's hard to describe the reason behind my hatred for her, but it's gotta be along the same lines as all of you: Her supposed "CUTENESS" (Gag me, PLEASE), trying toooooo hard to be funny, acting all that and thinking she's sooo popular. She's just utterly appalling. She tries so hard to be cute and it just gets tiresome after a while. I hate cutesy people. I hate Chinese artistes blinding following all things Jap (and by that I don't mean to say Jap Culture sucks, but please, have a little personality and originality?) And I hate girls with horrendously inane dollish hairstyles. Which means, anything that looks remotely like Rainie Yang. Like please, how long can you be cute? And I hate how everybody keeps claiming that Ai Mei is GOOD. Is the Taiwanese music industry so deprived that it can deem such a at best mediocre album fabulous? Plus, I just hate her when she's hosting Wo Cai with Jacky Wu. A Ya and Jacky Wu is da bomb man, her? She's just an irritating flea tagging along. She's not funny, she cant host for nuts and she's just there to parade for the salivating underdeveloped adolescent boys hanging around in the studio. and maybe to add some bimbo and cute element to the show by wowing at all the contestants. With A Ya gone and only Jacky Wu to hold the fort, Wo Cai is really going downhill.

Oh, and her fashion. Can anyone just knock her on the head and tell her that everything she wears is TACKY and GAUDY and flighty? All the ruffles, beads, pearls, feathers, mismatched colours, whatever. They suck. Go hire some fashion consultant (what's with Taiwan and disgusting mismatched costumes) and have a makeover, grow a baby older and then come back. Maybe then I won't retch. MAYBE.

That just proves that she can't sing. She takes this huge breath EVERY line like she is an asthmatic. When a singer sings, we're not supposed to hear the breathing- at least get the microphone out on every line to limit the breath sounds. She shouldn't be a singer when she can't even sing without sounding dead.

One of the reasons why I just couldn't watch DBY was because of Rainie. I think she's a terrible actress. Not only does she talk irritatingly, she only has 2 facial expressions. I think Rainie had such a big makeover like Jolin. From an ugly duckling (I've just seen Jolin's older concerts, she looks so innocent and so not jolin like ) Anyway, when she was in Meteor Garden, I'm sure no one noticed her, even if they noticed her, she would be the "ugly girl". Now people recognise her as the "cute Rainie Yang"
I don't know how she transformed from that ugly girl to the person she is now - not saying she is cute now. But there is so much difference. Can make up make that much difference?

Also, she is potrayed as a cute, innocent girl in the entertainment industry so when she tries to look "sexy" or "hot", it just looks so out of place!

Well, vIt, actually I fell in love with Rainie during the Meteor Garden days, I thought she was cute back then and I liked her better than Barbie Hsu (cause she looks kinda old). Even my little sister - who kinda looks like her actually - tries to imitate her. Ken Zhu and Rainie were my favourites during those MG days. And since you're from Indonesia like me, I'm sure you'll know of many guys who prefers Rainie to Barbie, and some even lamented that she wasn't there in Meteor Garden II.

After she changed her hairstyle and everything, OMG... it's like she pushed the "self-destruct" button on herself. I wonder how come she's still in this entertainment and music industry considering that she can't sing, she doesn't have the style and she's downright ugly now! HAH. Rainie is seriously crazy. Her music videos (Jie mo Qiao ke li) are extremely unhuman. I don't even understand the purpose of them. Its a love- hate relationship with me and Rainie Yang. She is so cute I am really jealous to be quite honest. I don't think she was "meant" to be a singer. I've only seen a bit of her TV show appearances, and was wondering if the acting cute is in reference to her personality on TV(variety shows/events) or in reference to her characters that she portrays in dramas.
