i wonder if there're any a-wei fans here? :?

anw, a-wei just had his first two autograph sessions in singapore for his first album "shi xin feng". the first session was at the heerens, outside HMV, on the 24/10/03 (friday), 1600h. the second was at toa payoh HDB hub, on the 25/10/03 (saturday). i went for both! coz i've got 2 copies of the cd.. he said xiè xiè to me! :excited:

at the first session a-wei sang 3 songs, "he4 quan2" (crane fist), "shi1 xin1 feng1" (crazy) and "qian1 shou3" (holding hands). second session he sang shi xin feng and "2003 give me five". then on 25/10, after his autograph session a-wei went to the psc nite...

i think that although a-wei's singing isn't very good but he is really trying very hard.. so i hope there'll be more people supporting him! :oops: ermz... nvm.. as long as everyone can see that he is trying his best i'll be happy.. and i'm sure the rest of cao3 mei2 chun1 (strawberry village) will be too... :happy:

Sorry *meow,
but personally I don't like Shan Wei very much.
I think he's a very good host and very cute too but I don't like the idea of him diversing into the market.
Like you said, he doesn't sing as well. I can credit him in the hosting arena but not in the singing part. He doesn't need to branch into singing to boost his popularity. I see no point.

And his Crane Fist. That song's MV looked so much like Jay's Long Quan MV. Even the clothes!
And a sequence from that song sounds familiar too. It was a part Jay likes to add into Shuang Jie Gun.

I'll appreciate him better if he sticks to hosting.

yeah... the first time i heard it i was like... OMG! what on earth is a-wei trying to do? copying jay? stupid idiot... okie.. i still think he quan is pretty much copying long quan lorz.. anw, he isn't trying to boost his popularity by cutting an album.. he is only trying to fulfil his childhood dream and also, his grandma's wish... (note: his grandma has already passed away.. :cry: ) and... yeah, he doesn't really care if no one buys his album.. he only wishes to have one that's all.. erm.. ankh_8525, i hope this doesn't sound like i'm trying to go against you... sorry... :boxed: but i still agree with you that his hosting is a lot better... :happy:

i totally agree with ankh.. i would like him much better if he just stuck to hosting.. i suppose being a singer has always been a dream for him and he's not too bad a singer.. but he's nothing really that outstanding.. i sort of feel that the problem with the asian entertainment industry now is that it's almost a must to diversify yourself.. like actors if they make it big have to produce an album and singers if they make it big they have to act too (look at jay.. he's facing a lot of pressure from the people in the industry to make a movie!) i dunno i wonder why singers can't just stick to singing.. actors to acting and well host to hosting.. (although i heard that zhang shan wei is initially wanted to be a singer before he got into hosting by chance)

and about the song crane fist and gao she me gui.. it reminds me so much of jay.. maybe i'm just sensitive.. i see a lot of people 'copying' what jay has done before.. it seems like songs about martial arts and more 'weird' things started poping up all over the place cos of jay's influence..

ok i'm not against him... frankly i think he's quite a sincere artiste from the way he talks and all.. there are people whom i really don't like but at this moment he's still ok to me..

yeah he's really a very sincere and down-to-earth artiste, from wat i've seen and heard. he really tries very hard to get pple to accept him, but i his main problem is tt he doesn't sing very well. he has a pretty weak voice (which might become better with practise) but it seems like he's now releasing an album, not because he CAN sing but its juz like riding on his popularity.

but it seems tt nowadays, anyone and everyone can release an album. all u need is some packaging...:glug:

i muz said tt i m really amused by "He Quan", not oni that his actions r very funny, but i think the lyrics r ridiculous too. dunno if it is bacoz of the actions, he din sing live in He Quan when he was on PSC Nite. If he also din sing live for Shi Xin Feng, i will condemn him further. i really dunno he got so many supporters. when i heard over the radio that there r actually pple queuing up for his auto at HDB Hub on sat the nite b4, i was really shocked and when i see the supporters on PSC Nite, i was further shocked.He got so many fans and fan clubs too, saw one "Cao Mei Cun" big card, i cant believe it tt the fans can actually accept his role in WQYL where he would dress up in a strwberry dress. omg........ But i oni arrived at one conclusion, tt is u really need to juz make it big in TW and elsewhere u will be popular too. (although i cant std his way of hosting, i guessed he is really lucky to make it so far....)

Before you think that I am a fan, I live around that area and was there doing my weekly shopping with my family... The human jam was quite bad so I thought I'd stick around and watch for a while... Was kinda curious on how he looks since I am regular WQYL follower... btw... I kinda concluded... for all the things/talent he lacked, his sincerity made up for it... :laughing:

Cant really blame him for not singing live... I think he's lacks the confidence to due to prior bad experience I think (apparently his voice cracked off the last time he sang live, prior to his album) :oops:

but really, his forte is hosting... not singing... his junior Wilber Pan is way better than him...

hmm.. he arh.. okie lar, to me, i think some of his songs are not bad.. oh yeahz, anyway.. i saw the advertisement on his new album on the television, there is one song which the MV is similar to Jay's Long Quan.. i dun mean e MV is exactly the same.. but it seemed to me like itz similar to it.. issit? i dunno..

he's quite cute anyway, oh yeah, maybe he juz need more practise on his singing.. juz like when Jay firz release his 1st album.. there were also many comments on it..

yozzie lattae.. ermz... actually will is not his junior.. they're in different record companies and will is just his good friend that's it.. :happy: will is of cos better than wei... will got go through training one so his voice is more powerful and better than wei..

i think this is all abt realizing someone's dream.. i mean, if you had a dream, from young, to become a dunno-wat... and you can have a chance to fulfil it, who wouldn't want to? i mean, even if everything goes wrong, you'd still have fulfilled your dream.. aspirations...
and then mushroom also right... alot of people the first album also not very good... (goes for people like jay, stef, will etc...) so they'll try to improve on their second album... er.. well, at least he doesn't copy other people's style, unlike k one (you know, that bunch of kindergarten kids? okie... they're 20+...) anyway, not alot of people can endure so much hardships to realize a dream... ... ...

i think he's ok....not the greatest singer but i think he's a nice person... haven't heard him sing live so can't really judge it..but from what i've heard, it's not too bad. ppl prob can't accept it when he sings love songs etc cos of his gao xiao (comedic) image from his hosting... i know i was like.'er..' when i saw his chi xin feng mv..hehe..

oh yeah..will is his shi di...they're from the same artiste management company i believe.

before he was a host, he did had one album. i think he sings not too good...but i think he likes singing, that's y he's trying again? but as a TV host, he's good.

but somehow, his mtv looks so much like Jay's! there's one like a ninja, just like Jay's ninja..

Yup i think the dances steps for 'he quan' are abit amusing. No offence *meow. :wink2:
But i think he truely deserves the attention he's getting now. Anyway, before he came to Singapore, I think he didn't even expect to have some a warmth welcome. He didn't realise how popular he is in Singapore. Hmm.. I didn't know that too.. :?

:D do u think his popularity is being boost by 5566? ^^; maybe not..maybe everyone likes his way of hosting..but i like his Shi Xin Feng.. and I noticed that a lot of Jay fans in Taiwan dislike him bcoz of the He Quan's MV.. lol.. and his MVs are being played here quite a lot not as little as Chinese MTV..

He can't dance, he admitted it himself. I don't think much of his singing, but he is very likeable. I was amazed at the response he got in Singapore, but I'm glad for him

i mean compared to other singers..i can really see that he works for what he have right now lorh..dont really see that in other artists though i know most of them work very hard too..

heys..but i think that he is seriously trying really hard.. like his hosting and 1 of his ongs the..shi xin feng..its really nice. i think he's just trying to fulfil his wish of releasing an album and i think that th album has been relatively good . yea. there are worts people out there who sings worst them him , i feel.

yeah.. agrees with piggy.. ermz.. at least he released the album to fulfil his dream, so it doesn't matter so much whether his singing is good anot.. but there are some (better not say who =x ) who release an album for the sake of becoming a big star :oops: when their voices are like.. well, just plain disgusting...

anw, he says that he signed on for 3 albums with the recording company.. :? whatever lahz.. i think for a first-timer, his songwriting is quite good (he wrote the lyrics for shi xin feng) already... but no matter what, of coz cannot be compared to jay lahz.. :bleh: coz jay rox! =p but wei also must jia you lahz..

Actually ShanWei's singing is afterall not tat bad... but of cos can't compared to singers like Jay... he can be an average singer but askin a host to be a singer is kinda difficult and a total switch in job. comparing his popularity and his album sales to three years ago he's first EP single is really a great improvement and achievement of him. he was even able to write he's own songs which really amaze all fans...and i believe lots of fans would agree...

he's good. Yeah he cant sing, but it has always been his dream to be a singer. It was also a promise to his late grandma. So we must support him and give him more time to improve. Everyone can see how hard he's trying yahz. He's slow(in terms of reaction) and that's why he's always bullied by wang xiao fu -dox dotx- but he's v true yahz. i loved him! (second to jay :) )

mh, i've been watching "wan quan yu le" a lot during the past few weeks, and i think it's a good show. zsw is doing a good job as a host, but he should really stay away from singing. :dry: wang renfu is a much better singer and dancer, although they're both not... um... what i'd consider
"good-looking". :wink2:

besides, zsw seems to be a little 3-8 (san ba). :shifty: :brows: but i guess all taiwanese tv hosts have to be like that (or at least a little).
