BIG BANG's 3rd single, first place

BIG BANG rose to first place in an album sale chart, confirming that they are the "new face to be feared".

BIG BANG, who released their 3rd single last November 22, ranked first place in the daily album sale chart of "Hanteo Chart" on the noon of November 23. Son Ho Young, TVXQ!, Lee Seung Hwan and Junjin ranked number 2 to 5 respectively.

The single includes 5 songs: "Victory", "BIG BANG", "Forever With You", "Goodbye Baby", and "Laugh" a solo song of Daesung.

On November 25, BIG BANG will start their 3rd single activities at MBC Show! Music Core. The group's first album will be released next month and first solo concert will be held on December 30 at the Seoul Jamsil Gymnasium.

lol.. big bang's pretty good; they have two main rappers, G-Dragon and T.O.P./tempo, but I haven't seen the other three rapping as much

New group Big Bang has received a very big gift from their management company.

After their manager saw them practicing their dances and sweating hard on Christmas day, he arrived to give them a present. The gift is VIP tickets to Justin Timberlake's Las Vegas concert on January 19th.

Not only do they extremely like Justin Timberlake, they also admire producer Timberland. Moreover, Justin's choreographer, Marty, was a dancer for Se7en during his third album.

On the other hand, tickets for their first independent concert on the 30th has been sold out. Their newly released album has been in the number one spot for five consecutive days. After their concert, they will be going to America to see Justin's concert and have a great vacation!

Group BIG BANG confessed to be fans of "Palace S".

BIG BANG conveyed this on the morning of January 11 in an interview with Newsen. They were asked on what was their reaction with Se7en's acting in the MBC drama "Palace S". They revealed that the members of YG Family watched the show at the office.

"He was funny. Seeing him on TV as an actor was strange but I enjoyed how the script was written", said BIG BANG, showing their satisfaction for the drama.

Aside from Se7en, Song Baekkyung also appeared in the first episode of "Palace S".

BIG BANG also shared that Baekkyung sent a text message saying that he was also in the 2nd episode and that they be sure to see him there because it is going to be funny. The group also enjoyed watching "Palace" and said that with "Palace S", they will watch it together by all means.

Meanwhile, BIG BANG still has not made their comeback stage for their album's title track "Dirty Cash" because of G-Dragon's bronchitis and influenza. However, the group has been practicing hard for their comeback stage.

BIG BANG will have their first comeback performance at MBC "Show! Music Core" on January 13.

I just found out about these guys recently!!

well. At first i was checking out G-Dragon.. coz i always see se7en songs and stuff which involve him as well.. then i found the "This Love" MV. which was NICE!!
so i started watching more of their MVs and hey they are pretty good!!

but i'm not familiar with the names of the individuals..
sometimes i get mixed up with their faces.
I wanted to find info on them on the net.. but it's REALLY hard to google them!

anyway.. does anyone know where i can download their music? (:

Pop group Big Bang are torn over recent news of scalped tickets.
It was reported that tickets for the group’s Daegu MBC TV “TeleConcert Freedom” were scalped and even counterfeited.
A producer in charge of the televised concert said that fans stood in line for 2 days to get seats for the October 9th concert. The group’s agency YG Entertainment added that during Big Bang’s national tour, concerts held in the south were all sold-out and their popularity in the area was rising.
The scalped and counterfeit tickets were seen as a sign of their popularity and success, albeit an illegal one.

first song i heard of big bang's was their 'always' from their mini album 'always' xD it's such a cool song! =D got a great beat and stuff so i'd recommend it those who haven't heard of yet ^^

I called myself a mediocre fan of bigbang. i can only keep up with one band at a time but BB has my respect for being a true blue YG-er. Honestly saying, I love all of YG's family members because I don't feel like they're exploiting their artist and fans like SM do????

The mini album is perfect although it's incomplete. I love Lies so much I listened to it everyday xD The recent remix perf for this song was hot too!!!

my fave member is of coz TOP but daesung is such a cutie!!!! Even seungri bullies him sometime. :p Just like TVXQ, it's hard not to love all of them because they're just so talented and you know they having so fun.

My sis and I were watching a drama called 'I am your teacher' on KBS World last week. We didn't know that it was "I am Sam" and we went kyaaaaa....when we saw TOP in a scene, hahahaha.

Big Bang stops traffic
Last night, G-dragon and the rest of the boys in Big Bang held a guerrilla concert in front of Hongdae University. The last minute performance was only suppose to draw about 1000 or so fans but with the magic of the internet, that figure quickly snowballed into traffic stopping mob of a 3500 screaming tweens.
Big Bang lives up to its name.

BIGBANG, who made a bang indeed in the second half of 2007 with the song “Lies,” has now become the first artist to sample a Seotaiji song. SeungRi was taken to the Hospital

Seungri injured his ankle during rehearsals for the Golden Disk Awards. He was taken to a hospital for x-rays and the doctor told him that he needs to restrict his movements for about 2 weeks.
YG Entertainment says that the ankle was so swollen that it was difficult for him to even stand up, but they had already rehearsed for the Golden Disk Awards and decided to go ahead with the performance as planned.
This is a concern because not only does Big Bang have a concert coming up at the end of this month, they are also scheduled to appear on MBC Music Core’s 100th episode special and perform 3 of their own songs as well as 2 special performances. Seungri was supposed to perform with TOP and Daesung as Seotaiji & Boys. Since he cannot perform, the team’s leader, G-Dragon, offered to fill in as Seungri’s role. G-Dragon stayed up until 6 am the night of the Golden Disk Awards practicing Seungri’s part in the performance.
The company states that they will limit Seungri’s dancing and only have him sing live on stage. This is still tentative, however, as more swelling of the ankle may occur.

MY POOR BABIES are in the hospital!!!! :(

Big Bang members, T.O.P is in the hospital for a severe case of tonsilitis. The one time chubbster was rushed to the hospital 30 minutes before going on air for the year end 2007 KBS Music Awards on December 30th, 2007.

Visiting him at the hospital, fellow member G-Dragon also checked himself in for exhaustion that same night. He was released temporarily on the 31st (Korea time) for a show taping.

G-Dragon and T.O.P are both being treated. T.O.P is expected to stay in the hospital for a week. No word yet on G-Dragon will be released.

thats what i thought too! i was like "hmm...this mv is very american influenced with so many almost naked girls O.O :crazy:" i think the mv coulda done better, u know, put some clothes on, girls! like the girls in the mv can be sexy without being so revealing especially the girl toward the end with her um bikini top which is just two very lil triangles and a string covering herself. *tsk tsk tsk*

i wonder what's next? like i want big bang to keep showing us some new stuff like interviews and mvs. but from the events that have been happening couple months, the boys need some rest and vacation.

my favorite is top. when i first saw music videos from big bang, they were never my favorite until last two months ago when i was on my winter break and bored on youtube. after that i got really addicted to big bang. my favorite is top, then g-dragon.

During the interruption in national activities for the boy group Big Bang, member Taeyang (real name; Dong Young Bae) will debut as a solo artist.

After recording Taeyang's upcoming March single, he will come out and promote it as a solo artist. In addition, it is planned that TOP will continue as a MC for MBC 'Show! Music Core' and will stop (these individual activities) at the same time as Taeyang.

Recording last years single 'My Girl' Taeyang showed his solo artist, and recording this time it is planned this time (TY) will show his appeal/charm that was previously not seen during Big Bang activities. Taeyang begun in YG family as a rapper, but over the course of becoming a Big Bang member he turned into a singer.

It is planned that Big Bang Taeyang's other members will also one after another announce solo recordings.

Early next month, (Big Bang) will cross over to Japan and will open up with promotion of their debut single 'How Gee'. Then late March, it is planned that they will stage an independent concert. Presently in Korea, 'How Gee' with its english lyrics is mostly on the 5th position in many online music charts. Also in Japan, with the real promotion it is expected that it (How Gee) will be met with a strong response.

Big Bang in March will have Japan activities, and while entering into April it is planned that they will have promotional activities in Thailand that may also lead to an independent concert.

Yang Hyun Suk, founder of YG Entertanment, has confirmed that Big Bang's Tae Yang will be releasing a solo album.

The 19-year-old, whose real name is Dong Young Bae, will be releasing a solo single album in September.

On January 12, Yang stated on YG's official website (ygfamily.com), that "by watching Tae Yang perform, it just assured me that releasing a solo album was something I wanted to see him do."

Yang continued to praise Tae Yang's singing capabilities, as well as his dancing skills. He began to reminisce on a time Big Bang was invited backstage to singer Ciara's concert in Japan, and how Tae Yang was admired for his dancing skills by her back dancers.

i just saw the MV...oh gawd!! TOP is sooo sexy! especially when he glares at the mirror!!!! he actually kinda looks good with his hair swept to one side..the kissing scene...i thought it would like tons of action (the kissing scene) cause of the hoo-hahs that everybody was talking about..but then when i saw it, it was like a mere second! ahahah!
everytime i see him in other people's mv..he is always angry and smashing things up...like redroc's mv..come to think of it, that girl in the mv also left him.

Overall to me it was crappy. I'm glad they are in Japan spreading the Big Bang love, but so far they haven't produced something really good. How Gee and With U aren't flyin' with me. They need to change with whoever they are working with.

i love both the music videos, but i like "Prayer" more because of the beats, like it reminds me of T-pain kind of music while his dancing reminds me of Rain. and then yumm....teddy *drools*....two sexy guys in the mv. tho while listening to the song"prayer" i thought waht was taking so long for teddy to appear on the song, wasnt until like almost toward the end he raps.

right now i have "prayer" on repeat lol i mean replaying the mv on youtube over and over again.

i think their new album is pretty good! there are three or four songs i'm kind of addicted to and their MV to sunset glow is just cool!

it actually what i admire about big bang... im not usually the "hip hop" kind of girl... and i consider them as mostly hip hop type of group... but they make really good music... there songs has a deeper meaning when you listen (well as for us read the translation) to it closely...

hello everyone! i'm new is this thread :P and i'm a new fan of Big Bang too! :D started loving them ever since i watched family outing with our DaeSungie. then i went to listen to their music and watch their PVs and i realised they're really GOOD! :) so now i'm totally in love haha <3

for now i love haru haru best :) Lies is (obviously) really good as well, and i'm impressed by jiyoung's composing skills! taeyang sings duper well and T.O.P raps awesomely!

and hmm, i didn't know sunset glow was a sad song too! it really sounded happy and the MV had a happy glow to it too.

that's one of the reason i like big bang so much, they actually got talent to write their own song instead of singing song written by other and probably just acting cute and pretty (no offend to anyone that like other boy band group). Of course, g-dragon is the most talented one in the group in turn of each individual talent.

yeah...they said that it has a malicious connotation attached to the word "crack" thats why they are changing it to "clap"...same reasons why dbsk's "under my skin" was change into "under my sky".... but i think there's nothing wrong about the original lines...

I've just recently been into Korean music and yes Big Bang is the BEST! In my opinion... they have the best Korean Rap/Pop music and every one of their songs have such catchy tunes and their voices are to die for! :bleh:

well i know that g-dragon is meant to be releasing his solo album in august some time.. and i think they will have an album out as a group soon (some time this year) which is why g-dragon's solo album got postponed to being released in august cos he wanted to work on the group album..

Their upbeat Japanese singles kinda fall into the dance genre and using a vocoder (I think thats the word) is actually quite normal. I believe they also did this to hide their accent.

It annoys me how I can't understand what big bang is saying in their songs because they are mubbling the japanese lyrics.

I think korean music just adopted the use of a vocoder from american music.

I believe Gara Gara GO!!, has three versions, the CD+DVD, Type A & Type B , which both include 3 songs.

YG Entertainment's CEO, Yang Hyun Suk revealed recently that Big Bang's leader and fashionista, G-Dragon will be releasing his 1st mini-album on 18th August, coincidentally his 21st birthday. This will be followed by Tae Yang whose 2nd mini-album will be out around September - October. Daesung will also be releasing his own mini-album at the end of the year, and it was stressed that it will not be another trot album. The other 2, T.O.P and Seung Ri will be busy with their respective filming commitments.

yeah, that's true, YG always delays .__.
But I can't wait for them.

^Ohh actually I just double checked and the released date for his album has not been announced yet. What's happening on Oct 15th is his first SINGLE called "Where U At" ><. But it IS gonna be a FULL album.
I read this on allkpop last week:
Taeyang who has surprisingly never had a girlfriend before, sings about finding his girlfriend in the future wherever she may be. The story is said to be filled with passion and a lot of his heart.

YG Entertainment revealed that Taeyang will not be making any special stage performances and also will not appear on air to promote the song. The reason behind this is because he will also be releasing a 2nd single titled "Wedding Dress" on the 11th and plans for that will extend towards the end of the year.
