Am I the only Jay fan here in the Caribbean???

I am a huge fan of Jay and I am so happy because I just got one of his older albums... fantasy, today :) . Since I live so far away from all the Jay action, it is difficult to get his products here :-x . That doesn't keep me from Jay though. I just have it mailed to me by my taiwanese friends whom I met online or, I have to wait until my dad or someone else from my famly is going away like to canada, to buy his CD's and VCD's for me. :bleh: So, it's not that bad afte all. :wink2: That's how I got Ye Hui Mei in September for my birthday, and i thought my dad didn't get it because he tricked me first and said no he didn't get it. I was so disappointed then, and then he plled it out of his suitcase and said surprise. Since then i listened to it almost everyday until i got everyone in my house fedup of Jay. :oops: Now, i keep playing Fantasy because Jian Dan Ai was the first Jay song i ever knew and loved, and it is still my favourite. Though, everytime i hear Jay's new music i can't decide which is my favourite. I'll stick with Simple Love because it's my first, and my bf who is in China sent it for me a long time ago and it is a very special song for me. :blush:

I always winder if I am the only Jay fan here because my friends are not into chinese music... :cry: Yes, I am the only one i know of, but I stand proud! Because i am one of a kind, maybe. :D That is if i am Jay's only caribbean fan. It's kinda bad though because i can never see his concerts live. :-x But, at least I can see some on his VCD's. :bleh: I hope that oneday Jay can be such a well known artist that he can come to my lil part of the world and sing here ^_^. Though i will go to China and maybe i can see him perform there. That will be a wonderful experience.

dreayh the caribbean is near USA... to the south and east of it.. it's a really nice place that few people from asia know about... i wish i could send you all a ticket to come and visit though. that can be lots of fun

cy...it must be great living in the Caribbean, its practically what is stereotyped paradise! You might have mentioned it but which island do you live on and have you been around the Caribbean? My family really want to go on holiday there, possibly a cruise! I would imagine there would be loads of tourists, or is that only commercialized areas like St Lucia and Barbados?

yes it is considered part of the caribbean... and how did you know i was from there??? i am from trinidad and tobago is our twin island... it may seem small compared to china and many other asian places.. but it's pretty cool... not small to me though because i am accustomed to it... it is not a very popular tourist island as much as barbados, st. lucia, but our twin island tobago is more popular than the main part... i have fun going to tobago. but since it is a tourist area, it is expensive, so i can only visit it once a year. wish i cud go more though.. its fun.

Ohhh Trinidad and Tobago! My friend went there a couple of summers ago and the photos she took were amazing. Athough its lovely,i wouldnt like to live in Barbados or another hard tourist area in the long-run. By the sounds of it, I would much prefer to be in Trinidad. Its nearly the same, but quieter and more peaceful without the tourists.

Hey first when I came ot this forum I thought I'm the only or over obsessed Jay fan form teh Caribbean, but I guess I'm not. I'm from Belize...hate it. Anyways, it's nice to know there's another person who likes Jay so much like me that also lives in the Caribbean.
There's a lot (recently a lot) of Jay fans these few months. I don't know, but maybe I got aquainted with more new people or so, but recently almost all of the poeple I know listen to Jay. Of course they're not crazy over him like I do. (Yesterday I saw Jay's Dong Feng PO in the TV and I was like staring at the screen.)
Anyways.....nothing much is going on here. Whihc Uni are you going to? West INdies?

I think the first time I heard about his name is in this show. IT talked about Eason and Andy each having 14 awards and Kelly tied with Zhou Jie Lun with like second behind Andy and Eason. I didn't cared much, but I was really curious about who this new person is that get famous so quickly.

Another time I saw Jay in TV again and thought that his looks was...not so good. :oops:
His song wasn't that great either since at that time I didn't bother or even care much for chinese music since the HK music industry is such a disappointment with its new generation of crappy music.

Then I meet this new girl at my school named Wendy and she asked me if I've ever listened to Jay Chou or F4 since she like them too, but of course she's not so crazy about Jay like me. :yeah:
I told her yeah...one time or so. She asked me if I like it. I said no of course.....She said I really have to listen to him if I had the chance to. I told her later when I'm free. Well as usual I'm kinda lazy and didn't bother much until I was quite bored with english music and quite free at that time. Since I've promised Wendy that I'll have a listen at Jay and F4 I went and download like three of f4's songs (don't remember exact....I have bad memory) and 1 of Jay's song "Tornado."
OMG I fell in love with the song immeditaely after the second time it's playing. I got rid of the other f4's songs and listen to Jay's song for the WHOLE DAY!!!! :excited: Roughly about 50+ times or more.
That song is so mellow and sweet song. The way sang the song was one of a kind. I've never heard anything like it (okay now I'm exaggerating :laughing:).
I asked for Jay's CDs from Wendy and yep that's my quest of searching Jay Chou! (Woohoo I wanna see the movie real soon...off-topic.)
Yeah it's hard to get Jay's stuff here, but yeah....I am dropping by to the US this Xmas...a very big chance so I guess I'll get the movie if they have it and his other things like that. Asked my uncle to buy me his Ye Hui Mei CD, but guess what? He didn't..and I was so disappointed. Guess you're really lucky. And I thought he was getting it for me too. So mad..... :-x
I think most of Jay's older stuff are out of stock isn't it? I mean I went to yesasia and check them out, but they're like out of stock. Last time I asked my friend to get me "The Iron Box Of Small Island" book for me, but she sad her cousin can't find it anywhere.....geez Jay's stuff really hard to get.

My frinds always complain to me that I am over obsess with Jay. I don't really care. I try to make all my friends listen to him, but they're not crazy over him or anything....but yeha I guess sometimes they're really annoyed about me talking about Jay 24/7. Not a single day ever since January 19th have I not been mentioning Jay's name or one day wihtout anything to do with Jay in my life. I always tell Jay's latest news to my bro. I know he will be annoyed and tell me this and that, but I don't care. All I wanted is to talk about how great Jay is.
My mom don't like Jay...she hates him. :cry: I have a hard time talking and arguing about how greta Jay is with her. I really don't understand.....when I listen to Jay she always scolds me. I mean she have her own fave artists and I have my own....why can't she respect Jay for who he is? :cry: :cry:
Hmm....I guess we're not the only ones from the Caribbean. I make or rather forced my best friend Janey to come here even though she's not a Jay fan, but she listens to him. OH...and Wendy....I don't know why...she's a Jay fan...well not like us, but I don't know why she is not registering.

Don't you have friend that at least listen to Jay?

Yep I'm going on my own....and get my Jay stuff, but then the bad part is that I'll have to look for it and since Jay's stuffs are still kinda hard to hunt for in the US and no doubt I'll be exhausted after the long search.

Well my fav. song is still "Cannot speak." It've always been. I mean I love the background music the most. I can't take my ears away from it if it's playing. My other rankings always change though.
