Oh my gosh, they're all awesome. I really like "A Herbalist's Manual / Ben Cao Gang Mu (Track 4)" and also "Red Imitation / Hong Mo Fang (Track 6)." "Listen to Mama's Words / Ting Ma Ma De Hua (Track 2)" was also really good, so I had a lot of trouble deciding which one to pick. ><"

I eventually decided to pick "A Herbalist's Manual / Ben Cao Gang Mu (Track 4)" because that was the first track off the album that I really really liked when I first listened to the album.. first impressions are really important. xD

My favourite is definitely 02. Ting Ma Ma De Hua! I liked the song since the first time I heard it! Its cool and the tunes are very catchy. Now with the lyrics provided by eminemjamesuk & Ling... it is even harder to resist listening to the song over and over again.

It's very un-Jielun and I love that he took this step away from his usual style; even better, it really, really, REALLY pays off. I just finished listening to his album fully not too long ago. I got to say it's really good. :-) I think I enjoy this album more than November Chopin. :tongue:

Anyway, it was a tough final choice between Ting Ma Ma De Hua, Ji Hua Tai and Ye Di De Qi Zhang. In the end I chose Ting Ma Ma De Hua though because it reminded me of the "original" or "classic" Jay when he first came out and also because overall it's a good (and catchy) song with nice lyrics. :wink2: I also really liked it because the theme of the song is not over done whereas songs to do with breakups or "sad love" seem to be most of what I hear nowdays. :dry:

Overall, all or most of the songs in this album were awesome! :happy:

Wow. When I first heard "Qian Li Zhi Wai", I thought it was going to be my fave on this new album. But then I heard #10, "Ju Hua Tai" and HOLY COW... it's nothing like Jay's done before and I think it's far and away the best track here! I'm so surprised that it's not picking up more votes! Part of me now feels a little spoiled, like I opened a Christmas present too early, because I'm enjoying this song so much right now that when it finally blows up on the "Curse of the Golden Flower (AKA City of Golden Armour)" soundtrack in December, I will have already listened to it 1,000 times, haha!

Definitely Ju Hua Tai/ Chrysanthemum Flower Bed...the melody is haunting yet soothing, and the words seamlessly match the music. The way he sings it is so different...no mumbling...which means it's actually understandable without having to read the lyrics. I cried when I first heard it!

& then again, my favourite track would change from time to time, for me, it's his ballads that always hook me, & I normally don't get so crazy over his raps. OMG it's so hard... i love all the songs.. but the ones that really got e stuck were track #1 and #2 and #3 and #9.
#1 is good because it has this classical touch which is very jay

i really enjoy listening to track #10 ju hua tai.. i didn't really stick out the first time i listened to it, but after the 2nd or third time it really caught my attention. i love the cello?? at the beginning of the song and the chinese string instrument (not sure what it's called) throughout the song. i also really like the way he sang the song... it sounds really old fashion... makes me want to sit by a lake, drink some tea and just soak up each word and note of the song..

The coolest track in this album is 1st track, Ye De Di Qi Zhang. The rest are kinda hmmm so so to me. Track 7 Xin Yu is definetely the most boring song from jay, other than Fen Lie (8 Dimensions album) and Kun Shou Zhi Dou (Qi Li Xiang album).

I actually like Ting Ma Ma De Hua and Qian Li Zhi Wai but in the end, i voted for Qian Li Zhi Wai..The more i listen to it, the more i'm falling in love with the song.I've played it like 50 times since i got my album (which was a few hours ago :rolleyes: ). My favourite songs are the ballads in this album... opposite of my past references .. Cos in the past, I'd prefer fast songs.. Not sure whether it's due to the fact that I'd change preference or is it that his new ballads are nicer, I love the ballads very much, like them more each day.. haha.. I was surprised when i heard Mi Die Xiang.. Totally shocked.. and also Ju Hua Tai.. but the former is a pleasant surprise.. haha.. Meaningful song, if you listen carefully to the lyrics of the song, I realise, Jay really loves and appreciates his mum a lot. I think this song taught me a lot too.

Really tough choice, as I loved almost every song in the album. If I were to choose 2nd and 3rd, they would be Tui Hou and Mi Die Xiang.
Tui Hou for the touching lyrics as well, and Mi Die Xiang for the different style of music. If played frequently, I won't feel tired of these songs at all.

gosh it was so hard to choose.. but i think 'ting ma ma de hua' wins because when i first listened to the album, it was by far my favourite.. it has really touching lyrics when you really listen to them and makes you love jay so much cause he loves his mummy dearly <3 it's light-hearted and.. sweet hehe

then came qian li zhi wai :) i love it when Jay sings in that song.. its sooo incredibly nice.. especially after you hear that other guy sing the chorus really high.. and then all of a sudden.. you get the smooth.. soft.. beautiful Jay voice.. *faints*

tui hou is good too. and white windmills.. well, its an okay song but the lyrics are really heart breaking *sigh* "wo bei ni zou dao zui hou, neng bu neng bu yao hui tou" they're my favourite part of the whole song.

I really like Ting Ma Ma De Hua, though I voted for Tui Hou because I liked the beat and music of the song better. I thought that the lyrics for Ting Ma Ma De Hua are precious though and it's a very good song.

I'm surprised. Agree that Ting Ma Ma De Hua is touching but everytime I hear it, I feel, ??? Like I want to switch to another song. Anyhow, I like Track 1 , 3 and 10 the best, but Track 10 won my heart. =)

My favorite song in still fantasy is Ju Hua Tai... and the second is Tng Ma Ma De Hua...Ju Hua Tai lyric, and it very good, with the lyric from Vincent Fang, and the voice of Jay... It soo perfect

i really couldnt make a decision, but i really thought hard (it took about 2 seconds) and decided on faraway, because i just love jay's songs with traditional chinese instruments, with a very catchy tune and meaningful lyrics....

i know there was another song with traditional chinese instruments, but i didnt find that as pleasing to the ear, or emotional as faraway. second choice would have been retreat, then listen to mum.... and yeh.

i really really like the 10th track, chrysanthemum flower. i just love the slow beat, it kind of brings back the oldies but with a modern twist to it, so that you wouldn't get bored of it. =)

I voted for A Herbalist's Manual because for me, it stood out from the rest. All the other songs are equally good as well, but they don't make me chill the way Ben Cao Gang Mu does. And the MV of the song is one of my favorite Jay music videos of all time. :happy:

Anyway, I ranked the songs from Still Fantasy from my most favorite to least favorite. I spent hours deciding on this one and here's the result:

On a side note, I also like the song Huang Jin Jia (Golden Armor) from the soundtrack of the movie Curse of the Golden Flower and it would've ranked higher than Ju Hua Tai if I included it on the list.

"Ting Mama De Hua" is definitely the best song for me. It reminds me to be caring towards my mom who's emotionally weak right now because of my dad's death. And it reminds me of my dad...he told me to take care of my mom like one week before the accident.

Tui Hou and Qian Li Zhi Wai aren't that bad, they kinda have the old Jay touch, but they don't stand out as much as TMMDH did.

"ting ma ma de hua, bie rang ta shou shang, xiang kuai kuai zhang da cai neng bao hu ta" which also means.. "listen to mother's words, don't let her get hurt. i want to grow up quickly so that i can protect her"

I actually have two favorites:
Herbalist's Manual & Rosemary. Herbalist's Manual has a great fusion of eastern and western music styles, and the chorus is very catchy.
Jay's vocals in Rosemary are just right for the song, and the song itself is beautifully composed.

Herbalist Manual is my favourite, but I also love Red Imitation and Rosemary. Those are my top 3 from this album, although the whole CD is fantastic.
