Yes!! Finally a thread for me to diss her! I simply cannot stand the way she just pouts her lips giving the "I'm sexy, I'm cute, don't you just want to look at me?" look.

She can't sing for nuts and her background music just about covers up the fact that she just cannot sing. And when she sings ballads!! Gwad! She sounds as if she's killing chickens.

But now, OMG how old is she already, still acting cute. BLAH her second album, when it was out. OMG I totally felt like ripping it. Practically everwhere I went, they were playing her song, Ai NI. I kinda liked it at first, but then it started getting on my nerves with that SUPER-short uniform she used in her mvs.

The biggest break came during Honey. I was like, WHAT her third album & she's still using the same "I'm so cute" singing techniques? Honestly rip me if you want, but I really don't believe in how she can sing & speka with that same "I'm so cute" voice.

Blah I've watched Westside Story, Part of Heaven's WeddingGown, & I'm on Smile Pasta now. Basically, I didn't really care about her in WS, but in HWG. Her constant "I'm sunshine girl & so positive" character really ZZZZZZ-ed me. Ahhhh & now, she does the same in Smile Pasta, where she acts all optimistic & innocent, then cries when she experiences love. Man, can she get more "I'm so pitiful"-ish?

I'm actualyl fine with the character, but I think the "EYES OPEN WIDE" act is too OMG. I don't know what word to use already. Basically, in Cyndi Loves You, I already labelled her as bimbo. But it seems that she can actually get worse. Raaahhhs.

I loved this thread.. finally there's a place for me to bash on her..

I wasn't really interested or taken notice of her in her first album, and or the westside story drama..

It was until ppl told me that she can't sing "live" (I don't mean she can sing at all).. anyway, I went to a concert two years back, and she was one of the guest stars.. then, when she was singing (with Sun Xiezhi) I saw that she wasn't singing when "her voice" could still be heard.. WTH.. it was a slow ballad, yet she need to mouth.. *boo...*

Another thing is that, I was reading a magazine article about "which artist is most annoying".. and, yes, she got the first prize.. some reporters / interviewers said that she is very rude and does not pay any attention to them during the interviews..
One example is that, when she was asked, "Why do you always act cute? (or something like that)".. she gave the reporter a "black face", and said, "I'm always cute, and I don't need to act cute." :rasp:

the first time i saw it on tv, i was like :crazy: , who's this? and the song's really sucks. and then some random amazon dancers appeared dancing made that even worse. i was laughing as hard as i could after watching that ridiculous mv...

after you posted that, i immediately went onto youtube to search for that MV. initially i found cyndi wang damn annoying and i wanted to smack her so hard with a frying pan. but after watching various "cute" :bigyuck: MVs, i found her ridiculously hilarious!!!! the very last time i saw something as stupid as that was (yes, you guessed it) when i watched her OTHER MVs.

it amazes me how many people on youtube go "oh she's sooooo kyuteeeeee!!! she's my new idol!!!!!" *puke puke puke* i rather listen to 10 people scratching their fingernails on a blackboard than listen to her "sing" or "dance".

especially since she's getting on to 30 and still acting the same way. the fact that she is popular, can't sing, can't dance, BLATANTLY lipsyncs, and puts out albums every i don't know, 4 months, with songs called "woosa woosa" and "da da da" makes me cry inside for the chinese music industry. no wonder people don't take the chinese (mandarin) music industry seriously. jesus christ.

and the saddest thing to me ever is that tang yuzhe was in her "da da da" video. tang yuzhe is HOT. he shouldn't have been subjected to such torture. HE WORE A BIG PINK FUZZY COAT. cry.

i totally understand what you mean. i really liked SP at the beginning but now i'm really irritated by her voice, her "cute" look and when she tries to OPEN her eyes as big as possible while pouting. if i were HeQun, i would already have dumped her (whack her with my frying pan before that). she is pretty in some scenes (with the help of makeup, of course) but i hate when she overdoes it. it grates my nerves like mad. :-x

I hate it when people think they can sing when they really can't. I don't really know who to blame: the singer (for not knowing she can't sing), the producers (for knowing she can't sing and still making albums with her), or the fans (for knowing she can't sing but buying the albums anyways because she's cute). I tried listening to Cyndi at one point when I first started listening to Mandarin songs, but I didn't hear anything special. Guys may find her cute, but she's like a twig and doesn't have a voice, or, at least, some of us wish she didn't have a voice.

Recently, though, there have been rumors floating around in the MandoPop industry that some so-called artists who make appearances outside of the music industry (commercials, TV shows, that kind of thing) have moved up in the charts because people who want to make money (the people who sell the things being advertised or the TV stations) will buy said artist's albums in bulk. Our own President Chou has made this claim, and I can't help but wonder how many cutesy stars this kind of scheme would benefit.
