interestingly it was actually san nian er ban, then i was watching mtv at that time i was like.. who's this fella? with all the ping pong sounds it was realli unique. then i bought ye hui mei, and the rest was history. then i went on to buy all his previous albums and subsequently albums yearly. still waiting impatiently for his new album! since it's delayed it had better be good! last couple of albums have been rather so-so compared to his previous ones, although there are classics inside them too!

btw the headlines [21/11/09] Jay Chou Goes for True Fight in New Film there a mistake there. this is his FOURTH starred movie. not third. Initial D.

Since ppl keep mentioning this forum is lack of new topics here i brought this up(I'm not sure if anyone have discussed this before tho): Which song of Jay's made you feel like it did really hit the spot for the very first time? Mine would be "Xing Qing" (3rd song of his 1st vol). After the first time i listen to it i just couldnt stop repeating it during the whole night. (lol)
So which would be yours? Any opinions/replies are welcome.

hello all! new member here ^^ the very first song from Jay that made me a fan was Qing Tian! When I watched the MV and saw him playing the cello in the rain, I was completely awed and became a fan! (:

I just started to get into this kind of music. I'm from the U.S. and I normally listen to R&B and then I met a Chinese girl in my college that I've fallen in love. Needless to say, I've taken huge interest in her culture and I came across the song I'm Not Worthy (Wo Bu Pei). As soon as I heard it, I thought to myself, "OMG this is a great song to present to her for her birthday!" I loved this song before I searched the lyrics to it, which makes it more memorable for me.
I really love the melody, more so than the R&B that I listen to in the U.S. I want to learn Mandarin Chinese so badly so I can get a deeper appreciation for this music. I'm also sending Simple Love (Jian Dan Ai) and Maple (Feng) on the birthday present that I'm sending through email.
