Biography
Kim Sun-ah, the queen of comedy, has a new movie out and is currently one of the Korea cinema's top actresses.

In the flick, "She's on Duty", Kim Sun-ah's character, Chon Jae-in is a detective who goes undercover as a high school student. It's a departure from her usual roles. But her trademark comedy is still there. Although the movie is filled with what she does best, she says she was still nervous.

Kim's action in this movie was a focal point. Although it's not easy for a female actress to learn all these moves and work without a stunt double, Kim Sun-ah pulled off the moves with finesse. Needless to say she put an incredible amount of sweat and hard work into it.

Her debut on the silver screen was an action movie called "Yesterday".
Kim's cold image stuck her with a very haughty, cosmopolitan image - Until the movie "Wet Dreams". Kim Seon-ah made a complete transformation and gave off a very amiable and friendly air. But still, audiences weren't quick to warm to her.

She staked her claim as a comical actress in the movie "Great Expectations". Her improve on the set challenged even those of her senior in comedy, Lim Chang-jung. But Kim Seon-ah doesn't want to be pegged simply as a "silly" actress -

holy crap I couldn't recognise her there!!

I loved her character in Kim Sam Soon...it's about time someone wrote a Kdrama where the female lead isn't portrayed as an adsolute idiot who is clingly and borderlining insane. She takes no nonsense from anyone and we can all relate to her as females.

Kudos to her for putting on weight for the role and for making Sam Soon so REAL.

LOVE LOVE her in Sam Soon drama. she was funny and fit well with the lead actor. i also watched She's On Duty and i liked that drama too. it took me awhile to recognize her cuz i'm so used to sam soon character. the pics above looks awesoom..didn't even recognize the 1st and 3rd pic. i want to see her in another drama again.

i saw the first pic before in a magazine and my whole family was like, "nah, don't kid us. that can't be her.":sweat: Lol. and seeing the third pic posted on top, i was like, "oh my God is that really the same person?" :oops: she's really pretty! and i think she made a really good choice to put on almost 10kg of flab for her role as kim sam-soon because it catapulted her into fame. and besides, her acting skills are totally fantastic. :bleh:

Oh my god! That was my first reaction! The first photo is so pretty... definitely has her eyes.. Her transformation is super.. Goodness she's really pretty.
