Why don't you use your own photo as your avatar?????

I dont really use my pic as my avatar cos I'm juz not really comfie showing my face to people I dont really know (no offense) And I prefer to remain anynomous, like we know there are thousands of people who are members here and who knows there are people I know in real life who join JC Net too, and often times I just really like to talk abt stuff that I dun wish people in my real life to know...

Okay back to the question. Basically I don't use it because I don't think my face expresses my current mood, or my likes. So I'd prefer to use other pictures, for example my current photo's a picture from the drama I'm watching, so people who know would also understand that I like Wei Xiao Pasta. So there :D

I am just not very photogenic. I don't like taking pictures of people, more so myself. Not that I hate people, but I just prefer scenery over people.

Plus, the freedom to remain anonymous is fun. And the freedom to disappear, leaving the media no clue of how I look like.

First, for privacy of course but if I really know that person before I would let them see my face.

Usually, my avatar and banner come in a set to show something, my characteristic... in some case where i need to show my face, i will... But .. I just don't see the point in putting it randomly in the avatar... At times, it is not the face that determines a person, it is the character that determines them.

I don't mind showing my face, it's just that I suck at taking pictures. But the avatar that I'm using looks just like me. I just thought it was ironic. My stepbrother thought that I drew myself, but no, it's just a picture of Witch Hunter Robin (some anime) I'm going as her to the Anime convention, if I do ever go.

but i think by using my photoself as avatar, i really know that i chat n talk with real people, and i just like to know more about people, not just their personality but of corse with face, the feeling of friendship will be more meaningly......

Well firstly, ofcourse everyone needs privacy

I chose the first option because I do not like to show myself to strangers and wish to remain anonymous. Besides, I don't like people to judge others by how they look.

But then again, I'm NEVER photogenic so I don't bother anymore. If you made me take a group photo I'd be happy to. Not so long ago, I've ALWAYS dogded cameras and phones alike. But recently, I'm getting into this photo thing. I mean, EVERYONE thinks they look ugly in photos. But then we look at the person complaining and it's like...why do THEY look so good in the photo and I look so crap?? hmm..I guess people are just too self-conscious in a way.

I guess sometimes I do have a pciture of myself cos people on the other side should know what I look like or what I'm currently doing. Like on msn sometimes I use my own picture as my display picture. I guess it just depends on how I'm feeling or whether or not I feel my picture is worth putting up. If I don't look photogenic or don't feel photogenic, then its a definite no that I won't be using is as a display picture or avatar. hehehe~

Sometimes I choose not to use my own picture because the avatar/display picture feature also acts as a window for other people to see what I'm currently interested in or its a really cool picture I want to use! I guess if the picture isn't my face, it still displays a part of my peronsality :D

Well if I do upload a picture of myself as an avatar.It has to be something sexy & professional.Not just a picture that I decided to take really fast.

Additionally,when you're anonymous,then it's more easier to be yourself.Than worrying about people judging you.I may upload it in the future when I have the time & money to take a more professional picture though.:D
