I just love listening to her!!! :) She has such a beautiful voice, I wish I could sing in high notes like that, but I can't!! :dry: When I first hear her songs, I think they're ok but then after listening awhile I go crazy over them!!! i've only heard a live rendition of mariah carey's "without you" done by kelly. she sounded really good there and her voice is quite powerful. i didn't watch american idol during that time, so didn't really have the chance to check out her singing. i haven't heard of her new stuff either, but now that some of you have mentioned it. she does sound like christina in some ways. and for sure, hope she doesn't turn out to be another christina. :glug: so, christina wrote that new song for her? that's interesting. didn't know christina writes music. haven't listened to her for sooo long now. kelly was in a movie, too. with that other guy, the second runner-up for american idol. jason? forgot his name... didn't watch the movie though. anyway, if she sticks to serious singing instead of using her body and such to sell herself, i think she's got good potential to stick around for a bit.

Oh yeah, I do agree that it's not an 'easy' contest to win competing against all other equally good competitors and especially to make people believe that you can really sing and to have credit for what you deserved.

Kelly has a great voice! It would be better if she be given space to grow on her own musically and personality-wise, but what we get now is the Kelly Clarkson which is 'packaged' for the market. We can't complain much, can we?

Hopefully, she'll come out better the next time around. I think she has the potential of a great diva if she does know how to use her vocals to her advantage.

i think the show is a legitimate show that really focuses on their taelnts as singers. the show just became so popular that it went too mainstream for some.

How sad...I just "discovered" Kelly Clarkson. Her voice is amazing, and I can't stop playing her songs now. I never listen to English music, but yesterday I decided to watch the VMAs and I heard her "Since you been gone". I liked it immediately, and so I decided to listen to her songs. Now, I REALLY REALLY like Since you been gone, Breakaway, and Behind those hazel eyes. She's so great! She's now my favorite English female singer.

well.. she had a couple good songs. my favorites are "behind these hazel eyes". but i only like it cuz the lyrics COMPLETELY describe right now. i'm not even kidding. its kinda scary of how accurate the lyrics were to my feelings. but i like the acoustic version of the song better. my second favorite kelly song would hafta be "breakaway". i was pretty obsessed with these two songs for a good long time.

I went to her concert on a whim!! she was having it at my college and we walked by and this guy was selling scalped tix, so we were like, sure, why not? well, turns out they were crappy scalped tix and we couldnt get in. but we went and bought real tix afterwards and yah, she is really awesome. she has an amazing voice. she was a lil off that nite cuz it was outdoors and norcal is so cold, but she still sounded amazing even if she didnt think so.

yea... and she is like the first ever american idol.
its probably bcos of her unique voice tone. n she definitely is one of the better looking idols... she's young n vibrant.
oh carrie underwoood is the fourth american idol btw. i find that her style is quite similar to that of kelly. pretty young girls with good voices.

Kelly is my favorite American Idol of all!!! I still remember watching my first episode of American Idol and being captivated because a certain talented girl (aka KELLY!!) was singing "Respect" on national television for the first time! She certain has grown as an artist in the past several years, but always still remaining very down to earth =). Oh, and of course, she still has the most amazing voice ever! Her "Breakaway" cd is such a solid cd. I love her music almost as much as I love Jay's!! =)

Yeah, Kelly is amazing.. by far one of my favorite English singers. Her newest album has so many good songs. I didn't even notice most of the rest initially, because they were so overshadowed by the first three tracks - Breakaway, Since U Been Gone, and Behind These Hazel Eyes.

But then there's a lot more that I like, such as Gone, Addicted, Walk Away, You Found Me, and Hear Me. lol pretty much every song in the CD!
