Those of you who have shopped at YesAsia.com will probably have noticed their new flagship online clothing/jewelry store called YesStyle.com
They offer the lattest brands and fashions in Asia, some really cute stuff too from what I've seen!
We are now an affiliate of YesStyle as well. So if you are purchasing anything from their site, please help JCNet by using our links to get to their site:
edit: $10 coupon, use code FEB14 at checkout, expires Feb.9.07

There will also be a link from the portal/home page, in the same place where the YesAsia.com link is.

It's a good site, but too bad it's leaning towards females.

Finally they are offering Men's clothing (http://www.shareasale.com/r.cfm?b=62320&u=179774&m=10669&urllink=www.yesstyle.com/Men.aspx&afftrack=).
I've personally shopped their Jewelry/Accessories line and was really satisfied with the products. Although it takes awhile for delivery to the US (maybe a week or more), you just can't find cute stuff like that where I'm from, so it was worth it.

So why does this site need money donation in the first place anyway? JCNet doesn't require money to run. And where does the money donation go to?

JCNet doesn't require money to run.
...exactly what do you base that on? You seriously think it doesn't require money to run a website like this on the net. Well let's all go nuts and get sites for all our favorite celebs then!
Seriously though, the forum software we use - vBulletin - is not free, the dedicated hosting we use - is not free. The domain names we use - jay-chou.net, jay-chou.org, and now jj-lin.net are not free. The various forum skins/styles we have used to make this place attractive are not free. Not to mention the time and effort of the volunteer mods.
And they are not all one time payments and be done with. Dedicated hosting is a monthly payment, vBulletin and domain names are yearly renewals. Dedicated hosting is not cheap, do some research and you'll see. If you don't know what that means, it means we get an single server all to ourselves to host this site from a hosting company...instead of sharing a single server with 100s of other sites.
Honestly I'm not sure why I even bothered taking the time to explain this to someone who seriously thought it costs nothing to run this site. Besides you're young, so...I can see how you wouldn't know >.<
Maybe it's because you don't see popup ads, google ads, donation bars, posts about monthly donations drives, like other sites that makes you think we don't need money. Simply put, we get all our funds from members buying from YesAsia. It costs NOTHING to you extra, we just ask you use our links so we get a little commission. Anytime the commission doesn't cover it all, I'll just pay out of my pocket, which is usually no big deal (less than 20%) since I have a job and I love this site.
Where does the money go you ask? I think I've already answered it.

Ok so this site isn't free and you need to pay in order to keep it running, correct?
What happen if I buy something, the seller is YesAsia.com also, from eBay? Will the money still go to JCnet?

Only directly form yesasia.com. eBay sellers do it for self-profit, their money goes to themselves. Yesasia gives jay-chou.net some commission on sale due to its promotion here.
jayx8318x:
Why don't you try adsense? Based on the amount of visitors, you could earn some decent bucks to support the site. If anyone is willing to click. It's a risk, in terms of user usage, but should be beneficial in the long run.

I have no idea what eBay has to do with YesAsia, or what you're asking...you mean why don't we sell Jay stuff on eBay? ...Chinese albums, and Jay goods are relatively cheap, it'd be hard to make any money, on legit stuff at least. And it's not like we're gonna start selling bootlegs.
We're a relatively vain site. Google ads, popup stuff, naw...no way would I ever resort to that. Even if YesAsia dumps us, I'd look for another way to make money than litter this site with ads. I am considering Adsense on our Google search page only though. I'm sure it doesn't matter to most ppl whether they are bombarded with ads or not since they're firewalled, but it matters to me..cuz it's just ooogly.
