Just as the title states ...i'm interested to see which one of the martial arts kungfu artist is better known in JCnet....

Jackie Chan is widely known across the world ....
but then Jet Li is Jay Chou's idol....

^ As do I. I own a lot of his movies. Jackie's great for comedy, and is a wonderful actor, but I like Jet more, for whatever reason. Who knows why. XD;;

Well I like Jet Li more now but Jackie Chan has been my idol since i was 11 and i really like his older movies, so i have to go with jackie chan. Jet Li uses lots of special affects, and also he doesnt do his own stunts, but jackie chan does soo yea id have to say jackie chan because his mix of comedy and martial arts is soo original. where as jet li just fights. but if they put jackie chan and jet li in a movie together it would be great! theyre both great martial artists.

Well i cant vote for this 2 martial artist,coz they're my favourite TOO.Well let me see,i think i should put them in order so that i can know who is my most favourite.
1)Of course Jay Chou,(he's my most favourite)
2)Jet Li
3)Jackie Chan

1) his moves are faster and sharper than Jackie Chan
2) Jackie Chan who?.. haha.. move over.. Jet li is so much better...

not that i'm a bad decision maker though, its cos they do different things so its hard to compare
jet li is more into serious kung fu action films whereas jackie chan is more of a stuntman and brings comdey into his martial arts so its kinda difficult to judge who is 'better' cos i think they both have their strong points :-)

Kidding aside, I like them both. They're my 3rd and 4th most favorite actors respectively.
But I like Jet Li better. They're both great martial artists and they're both hilarious though.

Jet Li!
I think he has more charm than Jackie Chan. I think Jackie Chan is more into funny2 act while Jet Li is more into cool2 act. I guess it depends on one's preference but I prefer the cool2 type one, just like Jay :)

i voted for both of them because i like them the same. jackie already got his fame but now it is jet li's turn to take his fame in this world of martial arts admirers. though, is it me or this poll seems to be more toward jet li likeness.:whistle:

I have always liked Jet Li's movies, since his Wong Feihong series. As for Jackie Chan, his movies are funny, and his kungfu stances are very cool too, but I still prefer Jet Li. He seems to be full of righteousness (zheng4 qi4 ling2 ran2), and his kungfu stances are so smooth and beautiful haha... And I'm glad Jay has him as his idol! =)

I liked Jet Li better since I feel like his movies are deeper then Jackie Chan's which are more comedy/action based. Also lately Jackie Chan's later movies are just...bad. I dont count jay since although he does some martial arts he was never in a film or anything....

Actually I had never really seen Jet Li in action that's why chose Jackie Chan.

I think that Jet Li looks like an average and nothing-special (no offence) martial actor. I appreaciate that Jackie Chan combine comdy with action movies which makes them more entertaining. then it is not all about punchs and kicks, it's about having a good laugh too. However, I don't know why Jackie always seems to be a lost chinese man. :oops:

I guess I will watch Fearless to see Jet Li and listen to Jay hahha :D

I don't think Jet Li can even compare to Jacky Chan, in terms of martial arts.
Sure, Jacky Chan makes funny movies, but in terms of SKILL, Jet Li wins by a mile in this.

Okay here is who I chose. I chose Jet Li because he was my fav for a very long time. I like his fighting style, and how smooth he is. I was on his website before it was changed, and I would always be on there getting the news on him, and he would even pop in from time to time.

Jackie Chan is okay, but I think he plays too much. I like his movies. But him always fooling around, and shaking his hand everytime he pubches someone, can be so tiresome to watch. Just do the moves already!!

No one made Bruce Lee an option. Because he is my ultimate fav, over both Jet Li and Jackie Chan.

But I consider myself a Jet Li fan all the way. I liked him before I knew about Jay. But the fact that Jet likes him too, makes it all the better!!:D

In my opinion, Jackie Chen's martial arts were meant for show offs, not true kung fu. Jet Li's case, however, is the real deal. Due to this reason, Chen's movies are more popular to Li's since people enjoy comedies, storyline, and animation rather than moral movies like Fearless. This applies basically to everyone around the world, especially the western people.

i agree with you, jackie chan's movies is more of a over the top comedy type. They are designed to make you laugh which is good, but Jet Li's movies are more realistic and technical. I think Jet Li's better at Martial Arts, he is a bit underrated too.

Hes king of martial arts.
Jackie Chan onnly knows how to act it but Jet Li can perform it.

But just as a note, its wrong to assume that Jackie didn't know real kung fu :happy: ~ Jackie also graduated from martial art school and like Jet Li, he was trained in martial arts since young. Its just that they took different styles of performing, Jackie is more on comedic and perhaps realistic approach, while Jet Li as the serious, invincible kung fu master :D. Actually they're both just as great!

Jet Li is totally awesome. I think I probably have seen every movie he has been in. Even really old ones I came across that really did not look like him. He is so quick and just moves so smoothly with his Wu shu moves. I wished that I could have the time to learn it. It seems very interesting. I mean for a timid guy, he sure can move well for his age as well. I am very impressed with him. He gets injured, but not like Jackie Chan does. So he is reasonable about what he can and cannot do. I also like that he is a family man. He talks about his family alot. I like some movies with Jackie Chan, but I mostly see him as a comedian martial artist. I cannot really see him fighting seriously with Jet Li like in the Kingdom movie recently. It was mostly comedy-like. But Jet Li won my heart with his martial arts ability in Hero and Fearless to name a few. All the movies for Once Upon A Time in China was great to see jim in as well. I think his acting is getting really better, especially his English. I loved the one when he fought Donnie Yen. He is also a favorite of mine that I like to watch. So I pick Jet Li overall though. He rocks!
